What we have here is a very well presented review of this ship.
I do not agree that the lower tier Italian BB's have a less-than-fun value. A few ships that come to mind is Dante Alighieri, Cavour and Giulio Cesare.
Ok so those are all lower Tiers...however I find that the Andrea Doria, Caracciolo and the Vittorio Veneto can make an impact benefitting the blue team as well. I also think the Verdi is quite good but that's just me.
I think they're all good and fun if one plays them to their strengths which is easier said than done...because a player will often choose ships that are compatible to their specific play-style which is why one will see reputable UA-cam creators review a ship, and say it's good and supporting that claim with evidence...and you can still find a person or two in the comment section insist the ship is trash...but I digress.
I'm getting close to reaching Segment 11 regarding the Columbo, so I'm not far away from having this ship. The build I plan to use is Iachino as the primary with diRevel and Hipper or di Revel as the primary with Iachino & Hipper. I like accuracy/secondary hybrids regarding the Italian BB's but that's just me.
What I'd like to see from Spartan is another Lepanto video that showcases the extents of the nerf's impact and if that nerf impacted the ship enough to render it a shell of its original self...or, is it still quite capable and fun regardless of the nerf?
The Cristoforo Colombo was based on General Ferrati’s Project G class battleship design which originated in 1915. The “G” Variant of this battleship on paper, was a 37,000 tonnes battleship, before treaty limitations. This was a postwar project which need a radical hull improvement, with only 50 mm of deck armor and no AA. The belt armor was stated as 270 mm and around 300 mm on the turret faces. Progetto G was also supposed to carry sixteen 380 mm guns in four triple turrets and superfiring, quite a radical upgrade compared to the Carracciolo. These were the same guns, but with an improved reloading system to provide up to 2 rpm and a muzzle velocity of 830 m/s with AP shells. Secondary artillery was no longer in barbettes, but in turrets, in all sixteen, and of 170 mm guns (7 in) and no longer 6 in. Configuration was eight twin turrets plus twenty four dual-purpose rapid-fire 102 mm guns, completed by many 40 mm AA guns. This was quite impressive in 1919 and would have been equally so in 1940. The lack of armour was a presumably better speed, as the Carracciolo, and a massive firepower. This would have been a sound calculation, as shown at Jutland, which showed bad visibility nullified range advantages. However shell dispersion would have been a real issue.

Spartan , I run a hybrid build with a 16/3 Hipper, and Michael LeTir as inspirations, and a 16/3 AL Littorio as my main. It ends up being an accurate, fairly agile and survivable battle wagon that punches holes in darn near anything and chews through other ships via the secondaries at a reasonable pace.
Mines almost done researching, im excited to try her out and use her full 360 guns
Helpful video Spartan..Thanks! I unlocked her this weekend...went for full accuracy with Angelo Iachino plus Cunningham and Madden. Did try Littorio but not sure she is as good? This ship and Guilio Cesare are the only two really good Italian BB's out there imho...such a shame. She looks good in green St Paddy camo btw 🙂. See you out there!

For commander I replaced not one for nuisance with brawler, I put on will to rebuild which have at tier making those 6 heals 800 something over 14 seconds, out on the new British commander instead of haruna bringing my reload down to 27 seconds 16.5 km and 9.8 km secondary range. this ship is the sole reason I have been playing legendary tier
I run an accuracy build and don’t regret it. Shoots like a shotgun when running a secondary build and I tend to overextend like you did with a secondary build.

Full accuracy build here and I full health dev strike almost anything, I've hit a Yamato for 8 citadels before and it was such a hilarious moment.
The power of improved pen angles, lower impact angles at range due to flatter arcs, and high penetration.
they need to shorten some of the cool downs on the consumables like 3 mins is a quarter of the match
Try running Henrique Fernandez instead of Haruna for secondary and main battery range buffs. Great game tho!

In blitz this ship can delete dds in one salvo. Of course one good turn deserves another…I can delete this same ship with all 15 shimakaze torps
Hi Spartan, I wanted to ask a pro, which American ship from the tech tree or even bureau has the best secondaries? I do enjoy how they can constantly harass enemies. I know ships like the Bismarck, Schlieffen, and Atlantico have good secondaries but I'm way off getting any of those ships. Always fun watching you obliterate the red team :)

Unfortunately there's not really an American Tech tree secondaries ship.. the only true Secondary American ship is Massachusetts
All the rest have far too short a range to make them viable

@@j.m.marshall669 the mass gets 8.4 range with the secondary mod and no commander buffs.
If you can get Admiral Lee, he gives porcupine, survival perks. And you will need to level up Arpegio Haruma, and Franz von Hipper.
I have lee on the ship with max lvl inspirations have have 11km secondary battery range, now of course this is overkill iMO. I recommend just using Admiral Sims with either Haruna or hipper as an inspiration, and always put in room for AL scharhorst OR admiral cunningham for those accuracy buffs.

I wouldn't sell ships to be honest.
Tirpitz and Scharnhorst are OK but both have been kinda power crept over the years

Yeah not to be rude or anything that would be skill issues, you need to pick your shots better and learn the ships tendacies with trajectory, don't rush pick your shots, id recommend trying whichever ship out in either training or AI just to get a feel how it shoots and maneuvers
Iowa and Montana are nice for the Americans.

@@SpartanElite43 kurfurst may have 100k hp, but it has terrible firing angles and a huge superstructure that gets farmed, not to mention how large the ship is and how it is a torpedo magnet. It struggles to survive, even with 100k hp
