And I will never get enough of Phoebe and Andrew praising each other - there's so much love and respect between these two and it translates onto the screen so well. I really hope to see them on screen again, they're nothing but electric together.
This show has smashed every medium to which it's taken, the stage show had a run on the West End and is nominated for two Oliviers, and it wouldn't't surprise me if it transferred to Broadway and won Tony awards as well.

I'll try to review the competition here Just finished binge-watching The Marvelous Ms. Maisel On a scale of 0 - Fleabag, it's probably a quarter of it. Fun for a while, but shit. A lot of forced plot. The mixed between 50s fantasy and seriousness of bringing up issues of the era did not came out well. The fantasy parts (settings, coreography, screenwork, scripts, songs) felt like they stick like a sore thumb. They don't belong. When it came to the serious part, too much humor. Not the good kind. You overused slapstick kind. No grit. No synergy. And the plots are messy and disgustingly controled by market research. They forced the plots to keep the main characters relevant because a significant part of the fans love the characters. No characters development. You thought these characters are good and started leading a good story. Gained experiences. Learn new things. And then because apparently the series picked up more audiences (probably not getting canceled), let's diminish the characters development! Give them new conflicts. Give them new problems! Where these characters will act like an idiot so we can give them some stories. Stories that should've been finished in a 10s scenes if the characters aren't just idiots. If you've watched any romantic comedies made by any american TV, you have seen them all. Their stories kept changing following the moods of the audiences instead of the authors having their creative freedom space. They wrote small stories when the market wants them. It has no character. Compare this to Fleabag. You know they stories were there. They make the product. And market the product. And they make their own market. Because the audiences didn't dictate the stories. They did not have the need for Fleabag until Fleabag showed up in their TV & in their streaming services! I'll look up the next nominees. Hope it won't be as bad as this one.
Hey! I've gotta say Barry is probably the next best one - it's tonally completely different (almost unfair to compare the two honestly) but its SO good so I'd highly recommend.

The great delivery, the stories, the randomness that just fit the series and the characters, the depression, etc. If the impact I get is as strong as Fleabag, I'll give it the same score as 1 Fleabag.
Crazy how low the Emmys have sunk since the golden age of television. No offense to the creators or cast of this show or others but damn man who has even heard of this show or most shows at the Emmys these days? I remember back when you had shows like Seinfeld, Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Bernie Mac Show, Curb your Enthusiasm, Malcolm In The Middle, Will and Grace etc. all up in the same category. The competition was fierce!
