A constitution is both a living document and an inanimate document at the same time. Basically what that means is, constitution is only so good as the subjects it governs and the institutions who are tasked with upholding it and enforcing it. These institutions are also comprised of those very subjects for which the constitution was created in the first place. TheChief Justice, the judges, the executive, the legislature are all constituted from amongst the and by the people for whom the Constitution document was made. You can't blame or credit a constitution in isolation. The best, most exhaustive and detailed constitutions may fail, while the most succinct, uncodified Constitutions may survive the test of time and and give flourishing states. She is absolutely right in stating that Constitution ought to be an enabler, rather than a disabler.

I disagree...UK has constitution but it is not codified. There is distinction between written and codified.
I'm genuinely curious to know what is a distinction between written and codified. How can a const. that is written, not be a codified one. And how can a constitution that is a codified one, not be a written constitution? Interesting to know your thoughts on it. In my opinion Britain has an uncodified and unwritten constitution.

But Pakistan successfully formulated basic principles right after 2 years, in 1949, which was in the form of "Objective Resolution. "

The Constitution of Pakistan is actually constructed on the basis of the British law which was created not for the welfare but for the exploitation of its subjects.
We need to create our constitution on the basis of Quran.
