Being a lums graduate myself who always saw the inequality of resources and networks even within the uni and other unis as well, I'm proud of you my man for bringing this up in a coherent and articulate manner
I am an Indian and about 10 years back when i was doing my MBA from ISB, we had a few students from LUMS who came on an exchange prog. Honestly we were shocked with how far behind these guys were in their academic prowess. They never scored even average grades. I now get why true talent never gets recognised in pakistan. Sad.
This might have sounded racist so never said it , but as you said , i too want to jump in . I have interacted with Pakistanis from all echelons . I have found all of them less logical , less rational , less smart more emotional/Jajbati. Like even below average Indian seem smarter in comparison and he gets things said easily .
@@worldgeography2229 to be honest some of them are really smart, but the smart ones are always those who exited pakistan decades ago and are basically american or british
@@AP-do6sv Only US ones i found bit smart , have interacted with UK , European ,Hong Kong , Gulf ones all were below average . UK ones seemed really dumb .I know i might be sounding bit racist but that's the truth .
Well, its not quite true. I've been researching Pak-India relations for 2 years. But when it comes to Indians, I found them very irrational and proudly where they've fantasized that Indian soldiers have somehow superpowers and Pak is Bhikari etc. And surprisingly, where Israelis themselves don't bother to defend themselves, Indians find it their moral duty to support Israelis and abuse Muslims.
India Pakistan ever had exchange program?😳
What she have said is a tip of the iceberg. Its a must must read. Thanks for the video.

Good to see this brave attempt. Even better that you reviewed a book this time. Thank you.

Very genuine and very very informative! I’m so glad I clicked this. More power to you!
When I read Dr Stephen Lyon in the acknowledgment section, I immediately knew that Dr Rosita knows the depths of this topic.
To safe guard the Zamindari system, Jinnah wanted a separate country. India moved on with New Land Reform and abolished Zamindari System by 1951. We can see the outcome of this two System.
When you first uploaded the book name, it intrigued me a lot and got the book Alhmdulillah!!!
Man keep doing it. Repetition will open mind of these frogs of wells. Keep up the Good work. Heard something worth watching after a long time on social media. Cheers

Bravo bro,
It takes courage to choose some sensible and sensitive issues like this. I say we need more educated people to come to terms even to listen to this type of material.
"Elites" a generation which funded movement of Pakistan and hired a lawyer from London who did not speak Urdu nor did a namaz, enjoyed sipping whisky smoking cigar. Jiski Lathi Uski Bail,
Very educative and informative shehzad bhai. Keep it up.
Nice to see you r doing book reviews
Its two nation theory
1.elite nation
2.poor nation
Jinnah's 'TWO NATION THEORY' has failed successfully in 1971.
I bought this book two months ago unfortunately yet to give it a read. I will surely finish it as soon as possible because it seems very interesting.
Malabar Hill and Nariman Point used to be like this till 10 plus years back until true democratisation happened

I think pakistani people need to stop beleving india and pakistan have same issues. We do not have the same issues. If we were simmilar, india would also be a failed state like pakistan.
Very interesting clip by an enlightened and brilliant host.

Great VLog!! 1000% Correct Analysis!!!

Every one of us is against these elites but deep inside wish to be the part of this circle. Everyone is agianst the illegal & immoral practice of law but deep inside practices the same / wish to practice. Unless and untill we don't deal with our psychological biases we can't break the chain. You are doing the best from your side but this nation has lost senses & consiousness to unchain their selves from elites(parasites).
Damnn
Commendable. Please do more

The days we are seeing today is because of these elites. And they are not ready to learn. They are simply incorrigible!
Very good analysis 👍

Excellent vlog 👍
Thank God India went thru land reforms soon after independence and Manmohan's opening of the economy, resulting in a very strong middle class today.

From Rudyard Kippling's "The White Man's Burden" to "Elite Man's Burden"
the way you ended the video is very interesting, hehe!
It is well known fact for the last 70 years,, my grandfather and my father talked about that for years. She wrote about something that may surprise you but not the masses.
Shehzad Bhai buht hi tragic aur interesting.
Likewise, I guess I am the only Pakistani with an allergy to elites. And maybe I am the only one born and raised abroad and still very much a Pakistani.
Too good... elites or cheats.. difficult to decide
In India🇮🇳 too.
This guy is part of a new elite.
True
A big business Muslim family from Bombay didn't migrated to P@kistan "Azim Hasan Premji's" family. If possible please make a video about this family.
It's good to see history from different perspectives.
While it is true that in 50s, 60s a selected group was enjoying most of the benefits, but it's also true that growth happened and there was investment in new technologies and industrialisation. With nationalisation and resulting mismanagement, these industries didn't grow anymore or even ran into big losses, and there was no investment in new technologies, thus today these organisations have become redundant. One shouldn't forget that one has to grow first in order to redistribute later. BTW you skipped Zia, howcome there wasn't a privatisation drive under him ??? Who were the beneficiaries?? so things are not as clear-cut as being put. In social democratic countries, redistribution of wealth is done by taxation of the elites. Talking of taxation, the biggest economic sector of agriculture, doesn't pay taxes. Also, there were no REAL land reforms in Z.A Bhutto times. So was nationalisation really about social justice, or was it about targeting certain people in a power play...so a much more nuisanced approach is required if one wants to learn from history..
Yeah .. nuisanced... really

Wow
1. I hear a few interesting things about Pakistan. The "experts" are primarily "military" type.
2. They interpret everything in military terms.
3. "Elite" always dominates the public discourse including diplomacy. Famous leftist Bhutto was a core elite.
4. In spite of all perverted policies, Pakistan's economic performance was comparable to India's till 1990.
5. Javed Akhtar observed that unlike India (say Mumbai) Pakistani poverty is not visible to an ordinary visitor to say Lahore.
6. The poetry- Gazals- that we listen to do not make much mention of socio-economic conditions?
Can you throw some light please?
Yes till 4. Javed Akhtar stayed in a posh home and travelled with the elite.
pakistan from early 1960 to 1985 received billions of dollars aid from usa thats why pakistani economy performed well but all this money is not used for education and development of country all this money went in hands of army for purchasing militery hardware and building business empire of army. So in short as billions of dollars are being pumped into pakistani economy each year during these years but private sector didnot grew at all
Even as per lastest oxform report pakistani top 1 percent elite controls 24 percent whealth mean while indian top 1 percent elite owns 40 percent whealth thats why poorty is not visible in pak as in india but due to current economic crises this is changing now poor in paking is getting poor as nd poor and rich is becomming richer every day.
Dollar in last 5 years went from 115 pkr to 284 pkr and gold in last 3 years went from 50 thousand pkr to 2lakh pkr per tola.
Intrest rate in pakistan is above 20 percent
So rich in pakistan become 3 times richer in just 3 years meanwhile cars bikes and homes become unafforable for poor and lower middle class
Pakistan just about any country needs a French or Mao revolution that comes from within, not from kids eating McDonalds ice cream asking for revolution but garmi mein kharab honay ka darr.
Two nation theory is mere manifestation of british divide and rule policy in context of subcontinent.

The main issue is higher education. Higher education is not for everybody. Most people require skills to get jobs. Academic education does not guarantee jobs. It is high time jobs are delinked from academic degrees.
U should know one thing he was there for his biometric when the rangers arrived to arrest him ,
He is not willing to surrender he is informing public from the day one ,unlike anyother leader who was lauched by establishment according to u . Nab has nothing to do with this arrest we all know so the intentions r v clear , thays why we need to protest against this so we can stop this cycle of power .
Otherwise this rotten system will continue like always

J Sai Deepak, Vikram Sampath and Sanjeev Sanyal have written interesting books recently.
Are you ready to fund for that? None of the above have to do with Pakistan.
@Football-Pundit J Sai Deepak is not historian but if you want to prove him wrong why don't you do with facts ? And talking about Vikram Sampat, what ever he has written in his books is well referenced and u can see that in his book at back
@@UndisclosedFacts Anyone who writes what these idiots dont like becomes mediocre. Ignore such scum.
@Football-Pundit hahah I can see the how j Sai Deepak is downplayed these days . I am regularly seeing these kind of comments but nobody provides any counter evidence to what they say it’s just are they are on the face of Muslims and antinationals, they can’t just handle him.
@Football-Pundit what is the bias of j Sai Deepak? Don't In India ,only temples pay taxes and not mosque churches? Don't waqf act 1995 gave power to waqf board to capture any land of India? Don't indian history books have overglorified invaders and shown them as heroes and giving a clean to their endless atrocities and gen0cides of Indian civilians? Whereas showing indian rulers as villains?
I really don't care now if Modi scraps Indus water treaty.Actually he has my blessing.

India was fortunate that it is too large to be captured by a small elite such as the Aitchison College gang (although we did have a Doon School elite that was very active in politics, and is still active in Media). A Stephens College/JNU/ Delhi University group still is active in the Congress and Leftist circles, but 8 years of Modi's rule has defanged them. But the effect of these groups was certainly significant in the first 40 years of independent India's history. Nowadays, no one gives a damn which school you studied in.
Yes
Sir Mr Jaishankar (EAM) and Nirmala Sitaraman (FM) are also products of JNU.😅

Nice to see an academic channel in Urdu.
Whereas the overview of the book is fine but as a Pakistani delving into the causes of things that happened in the first ten years will give a better a understanding.
From 1947-1957 the Pakistani government didn’t have many options. Jinnah insisted the muslim industrialists of Bombay to come to Pakistan to establish Industry. At the time of partition there were only 3 factories in geographical Pakistan. Some of these industrialist were promised monopoly in some sectors. You have highlighted that most projects housing etc were done in Karachi but you fail to mention that Karachi accounted for more than 70% of the economic output. It was also the Federal Capital thus deserving further investment.
Most of these guarantees were broken with nationalization of Bhutto and subsequent marginalization of the urdu speaking muhajirs - the group most responsible for the early decades of relative success of Pakistani Economy.
What muhajir get by going pakistan ?
Does pakistan muhajir bhave empire like wipro cipla lulu group and many more are founded by Indian muslim
Department of Irrigation, not agriculture

Not all Gujarati Muslim families belonging to Saudi Vohras, memons, Ishmaelis and others left for Pakistan. Lots many left behind in Mumbai and Gujarat. Many got into legitimate business while many joined Daud gangs. India got worst of both world.

Average salary there was gross salary there 20 lacs pkr per month for project manager in the year 2013 when 1 dollar was pegged with 120 Pakistani rupees, which is equivalent around 17000 dollars pm.....while a project manager at apple in USA was earning around 15000$ including all benefits.....and believe it or not ,that salary was not outliers by any means....just was little bit higher than median income at this particular position throughout the national scale....people call Pakistan a third world country, they are right no doubt but people here at middle management has beaten their American counter part from left right and center....Pakistan is in this situation coz Pakistani economy is not documented
