Step 1: Insert the test strip with the gray square end facing the meter (this will automatically turn on the meter).
Step 2: Immediately add blood to the test strip.
Step 3: Your result is displayed (after marking as fasting, before / after meal or no note).

Thanks for this video as I’ve been having a little problem. I’ve done all the steps but for some reason having trouble with blood getting to the strip but I think I’ve been dabbing it instead of letting it draw the blood. Thanks again you have a friend in Columbus Ohio!

How to delete history log of tests?

My daughter is trying to hook it to her phone but it doesn’t send her the email its supposed to what should she do
hi for some reason every time i insert the strip into the machine the blood sign doesn't appear for me. the machine is turned on just the blood sign isn't appearing. how can i fix this?
Once the strip is fully pushed in the blood sign should show up. There is a small resistance, please check that the strip is fully pushed in.
I am doing everything right, even that blood symbols appears but
After applying blood my meter never beeps nor the countdown starts.
Any suggestion?

Do I have to use the needle once
It’s recommended not to reuse the needle to prevent infections.
I have trouble getting blood on strip do you put it on top or bottom??
The best method is to the touch the tip of the strip to the blood drop. The blood will just get sucked in. The blood is absorbed by the edge or tip of the strip.

Do you know the difference between this one and the next one?
Next One became available in 2017. Next Gen is newer and became available in 2023. They both have the same features and take the same test strip. Only major difference in the physical shape/ dimensions. Here is technically comparing:

Spoke to Contour today, informed that the Contour Next One is no longer being made, which is a shame. Altogether a nice package for transporting plus it was highly rated for it's accruacy.
New to this. Anyway, was diagnosed type 2 back in August 2023. Been doing my research. But back when my doc gave the diagnosis she said oh you don't need to check your numbers yet. But even though I been low carb diet and lost 42 pounds I decided I wanted to test to see what foods are doing what to my before n after meals and for in the morning. I called insurance company today and found out they'll pay for my meter and 50 test strips a month and 100 Lancets per month. I decided to call her and she sent in all the prescriptions. Bam got a text that all is ready but have to wait till tomorrow after 3 pm to get the contour meter as their out in store. Will this be the one I get most likely? Insurance said they would pay for the contour next one. This is the next gen so I'm confused which I'll be getting. Anyway, can't wait to see my numbers. This new journey in my life really had my head spinning at first. But I don't go back to have my A1c rechecked till March 1st. How long my dr. Is booked out in advance. How times change. I'm 53 and only one in my family that has type 2. I am determined to put this in remission 🙏
@@slugo915 Oh dear, poor Americans having to rely on the Insurance companies for their healthcare...We pay monthly national insurance and get our medication and healthcare prescribed.
