My son lives in WVa and there are acres upon acres of agricultural land that was turned into massive solar farms. The county that they are in can’t even benefit from the energy nor can any citizen of that county work there. It supplies a neighboring state. It’s not a land problem, it’s what they do with it. Crazy world we live in

The “science studies” should not be allowed for this IF the financial backers are biased!! Which they typically are.
States should require truth in names/labels. Like calling "Almond milk", "milk" when it's not.
Just like sugar on labels if they can keep the percentage below a certain point, they are allowed to claim it sugar-free. What would be the harm of telling the truth oh, I forgot it affects their bottom line. What a sad state of affairs.

When we change our cooking oil from lard to seed oil, how's that been working out.
Had to ask the guy working in meat dept. at Walmart why I can't find meat with bones in it I give to the dogs. He said they don't package their meat anymore. It comes in that way, but he didn't know from where.
My local Walmart does have a few choices in steaks, ribeye and T-Bone, with the bone. But they’re not the Walmart brand.

One reason I left veganism after 8 years was because I couldn't deal, philosophically, with all the fake foods. Yes, I did like some of the burgers and other substitutes, but when you realize that basic vegan foods like eggs and cheese are are made from a list of chemicals, it's time to rethink your position. As much as I want to support animals, I'm not going to choose chemicals over an egg or a plain steak. So simple and real. No way would I eat lab meat.
I would love to be there at the carnifest but I take care of my Vietnam veteran father and he can't travel yet he is on the proper diet now !.

Decentralised , regenerative ,local meat production will feed us without turning the land into a desert . It preserves the soil without pesticides and artificial fertilisers . The terrain theory over germ theory works on our bodies and also applies to farming. Greed is a mortal sin and a disease of the mind.

Btw : I pulled a fibre in my calf muscle. Luckily I stopped running and now 2 days later I am healing . Seems I don’t have to rehab for weeks and months . However I won’t sprint or do the skip exercises before I can feel absolutely no issues in the area . I only push through when we talk normal pain from training . Injury is another thing .

Besides the fact I will never eat lab grown meat, the same goes for their crickets. There is a very important fact here that it will all be controlled with no knowledge to the consumer what it exactly is. They are lab growing human meat for human consumption now. I won't put the link here, but just search it out. I will eat tree back before I eat lab grown any kind of meat.

As someone who has lived 40 plus years without "flesh" I can say as a 70 year old my heart and my weight and my lifestyle is very healthy compared to my meat-eating counter-parts who are all on some kind of medication or another... I'm also a Florida resident (for now)... We shall see where the state takes my personal dietary preferences. Please let the market decide lest I take my self to another "free" state!
I get synthetic meat or lab meat is unethical but cloned meat has been on everyone's table for over ten years now. I for one don't feel we should be consuming "dolly meats"

@@FerrignoFreedom - yeap, but add another 200 years (8 generations) and concepts like this will shift. We weren't even flying planes still 100ish years ago. But for today, yes it's fantasy and we shouldn't be looking at this tech with anything other than a ten foot pole and very careful research studies funded by truly independent government bodies (not Food companies or private interests). The main problem is organisations like the FDA, who used to do their own research have now pushed that to Food / Pharma orgs and will "review" the research output.

This is so ridiculous! We have to start speaking out more and standing our ground as much as possible, like in how we buy our real meat! Thanks for this information! I heard a video earlier today that the dept of agriculture in PA is really working hard to shut down an Amish farmer named Amos Miller and saying his raw dairy products are harmful, even though several hundred customers testified in favor of his products. They are even telling him he can't even feed the raw milk and cheese to his family!! Or feed his hogs!! What happened to FREEDOM?? This is definitely a CRAZY world we live in! Its worth considering that if we were to ever have most people eating mostly meat then some form of cultured meat would be the only way we could do that practically. 7+ billion people on the planet. So it is definitely worth researching and developing the technology. But it obviously shouldn't be rushed or forced on anyone.
