This version is more ripping than the on on "The Evil One"! I'd like to find a good copy of this too, found it on an unlabeled mix a friend gave me a long time ago. Such a good song.

Is this the full version... seems to start halfway through... but that's what you get by listening to Rokjy, I guess... Raw and full of energy... thanks for the upload
it doesnt ... its just genial kick in into song ... one of things I love compared to evil one version .. and its bit faster ... and more raw ... this song should be on 7inch ... my favourite
There is a two disc album of "the Evil One" the first disc is the original recording of the album. The second is a radio show where Roky is getting some PR for the band and he brought demo tapes (most of which I think are better than the album version). The discussion is classic Roky, all over the place. Anyway that is where this comes from. Good luck.
HOLY SHIT. The energy on this is unbelievable
This demo peels the paint right off the walls. What a treat.

Absolute psyche fire. A unique voice , unique lyrics, a compulsive visionary. The Lee Perry of Texas Rock.
Their demos were fucking ripping.
Rest in peace Roky Erickson
This is peak Rory
Two Headed Dog on Mars was it for me. Roky is in Raw Key on this Sputnik.
Maximmum rock n roll
