All of this poi in the pack look awesome, they have their own style, theme and a lot details without any corners being cut short. The performance on some lower tier computers might have a decrease in fps, but it doesnt make it less awesome :)
Agreed. That is probably the biggest problem with some of those POI's. I mean, when I was doing the video, roaming in the middle of a city recording that massive apartment POI... I mean that thing is like a city on its own! Laaaaag galore.
Haha, yeah, I see where you are going with that. They are indeed. I know there are at least 250+ POI's coming in the new DF version pack. It will be interesting to see the changes.
No, they are included, however it is not the full CP as some of the CP poi's are a bit heavy on resources and really kill your computer with lag. Then there are some that are just way too heavy on loot. Still there are 100's included.
I must admit, when I do a playthrough I will likely only enter some of those mansions, castles and especially the huge POI's once I am a pretty high level. There are truck loads of zombies and ambushes lurking in some of those POI's. Really can't wait.
Ya, MentalNinja and CaptainWhiskerBiscuits have been working/updating it for years. They put my store in during a19. All those stores are different youtubers and or Twitch streamers. It was a lot of fun during the unveiling each version update.
Indeed, I shot that bit three times. Centre of the city, plus large POI's around it... my pc sounded like Scotty on Star Trek, "I'm givin' her all she's got, captain!" :D
@@SnowBee According to Mtyh, it looks like it could be an even bigger problem in A20 than it was in A19. So... Yeah. Will not be given a second chance.
@@dobbers9921 So sad to hear. Yeah, it was just asking for trouble. If that is not in, then I am pretty sure many of the large ones will go the way of the dodo. At least there is another library or two that will hopefully make it in. Exploring libraries always has that anticipation of obtaining many skill notes, so there is still hope of other skill note sources. Having said that, there is quite a few non-library POI's I noticed with many book cases, albeit, some of them were just painted in.
Fantastic. I recently died in my last playthrough by moving my horde base from the forest to the snow biome and getting overrun. I still not quite sure how I died. I think I had bleed built up that took the last bit of health from me before I could heal. In the future, I think I will put a little more effort into getting some of those special foods (like bleeding resistance) before running out and trying to melee the zombies, etc. :D Edit: And I messed up not using the three demonic essence I had to get the healing perk. I was still trying to decide which I wanted for that playthrough. Never again. Demonic hundred percent from now on.
That sounds like maybe a demon burn that you may have not been spotted? Unless there were no demonics yet? I have noticed that being hit by splash damage from demon fireballs doesn't always show a burn indicator or notification at times. So you are losing chunks of health without noticing your health decrease.
@@SnowBee I was running into demonic zombie fairly regularly in the snow biome, but I don't remember any fireballs launched my way. However... I may have been on fire, but there were about six deformed muscle guys running around and I did get hit a few times jumping back up to my horde base. Not the naked bald Arnies, but the bigger ones. And I was still wearing just steel armor because I needed more mod slots for rad protection, etc. It's kind of funny because my goal for after that horde was to go load up on titanium so I could make armor and those fire protection mods. I guess I need to be a little more mindful of protection when I try melee against the higher enemies. Either way, it's a great excuse to take a break and start up a new game when the compo pack is added. :D
With all the new blocks... it looks like some creative minecraft players just went nuts creating pieces of art. I can't imagine the time and effort put into some of these.
Yeah, it is like playing 7D2D, someone joining a 7D2D server, must also have that version on their computer. At its heart, it is a mod, so like playing Darkness Falls, you would need that particular mod on the server and client computer.
I looked on the forum initially, but they had the discord link for the latest news. Here is the link, maybe further into the forum posts is a recent link: community.7daystodie.com/topic/21900-magolis-compo-pack-by-the-compopack/
It´s simply great. Currently trying to get a CP only map without vanilla POI´s having Asia, mediveal, megacity, fabbersville and Zombieland aswell as the 20 big POI´s. Can´t wait, gonna take some time though as i need luck with the RNG. Or i could learn how to place a prefab. Will see how rng treats me. :D
Not that particular one tough. Also there are others which I didn't show. Even the Drug Lord's estate has different versions. Another one is called Drug Lords City, but they are very similar.
Yeah, and that is not the half of it... there are a number of Compo Pack POI's that I noticed while recording has some sneaky bird traps like that. Air raids from those crafty little pests is going to be something to watch for on many of the POI's. I love it! :D
Yes, though I have confirmation now that the Spiral Library will likely not make it in. Apparently it is worse than it was in Alpha 19. That is the building I showed at the start of the mega city part in the video. 😞 At least there are others. EDIT: I am talking about Darkness Falls, not for other mods or Vanilla. I am sure other mods will likely just add them in.
@@SnowBee I figured the Spiral Library wouldn't make the cut. It was laggy in A19 on my very beefy gaming rig. I had very good times in it though. Hopefully Book Stop and the 2 story libraries will be in the build.
Good question Jon. I think we may see an initial release in another week or so. I think it will be ongoing so they may release some and keep adding and tweaking as the weeks go on.
No, I am wrong, I see that Khaine did make a comment and said "when its ready", but has guessed it may be "weeks". So we should not hold our breath. Khaine has however made predictions well into the future at other times, and then suddenly released early. So, I don't think it will be too long until we see maybe something of an initial release. I will likely make an announcement or post as this is quite an anticipated release.
I made a copy of the vanilla 7D2D game folder. Then created a mods folder under that. Now, using the complete pack download, I then extracted the compo pack into the mods folder. The complete pack actually has two compo pack folders when you extract it. So there is a folder called CP48 Complete, then another one under that. So I copied the second folder and its contents into the mods folder. Do not copy the initial folder. You can tell the correct folder to copy as when you select it, it has two folders called "config" and "prefabs" under it. Finally, start the game and create a new map with RWG, and play a new game with that map.
@@badassbronxchic1244 Well, it is better than nothing :) However, if you are using the complete pack, then the POI's are all there. So they should load depending on map size and other random stuff I guess.
Yeah, it has been a while since this. Version 4.1 came out many weeks ago, here is the update: ua-cam.com/video/R88P8cfVhms/v-deo.html It also includes info about the map and POI changes due to Compo Pack crap. Then there is version 4.1.1: ua-cam.com/video/6bt9onK-L1U/v-deo.html
Awesome video SnowBee! This looks AMAZING and I can't wait to play in some of the POI's. I just don't know if my computer can handle it. I'm a complete noob when it comes to this kind of talk and terminology but I was wondering if someone could possibly tell me if my PC could handle this? On the About My PC page on my computer it shows my processor is this: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz with 16 GB RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080.
Hi Lorri! Yes your PC is pretty good and a bit better than most with the 3080 graphics card. I assume you have a solid state drive (ssd)? The only thing I would be concerned about is your RAM. Yes, you have the typical amount of memory in there with 16 GB, but playing on larger maps is likely going to see most of that memory used. Some of those POI’s are pretty large and eat computer resources. I would suggest playing on medium or smaller sized maps. Still that computer is no slouch. Like everyone else you will still get frame drops in cities and possibly horde nights. That is just the nature of the game unfortunately.
@@SnowBee Thank you very much for replying and answering my question. I still receive low fps sometimes and I was just wondering if it was my computer or not. Thank you for clarifying.
Yes, they only seem to have that. The download content is in the discord server. If it is somewhere else, I haven't found it yet, though I have not looked that hard. The main Compo Pack forum earlier today still did not have an updated link.
Many moons ago, in the beforetime of A16 when this game still gave me consistent and decent FPS even in 1440, that damn shopping mall POI ate them. IIRC it was WotW we were playing on a friend's server and he really wanted us all to do that one so as soon as it was found we all gathered. Standing a few hundred yards away I look at the shopping mall and queue slide show. Look away and I could move again. Had to bow out cuz if I went in I would likely still be there today, waiting for my next frame. I remember several of the ones you showed and there are some even more good looking POIs it seems but sadly the game is very punishing on my frame rate in it's current iteration and running DF doesn't help of course so I'll have to give any such adds to the mod a miss. Pity but so it goes /sigh.
Indeed, I have hardly played any of them, mainly as it is vanilla. I did go into a smaller, but still quite large POI, and I was quite happy with the frame rate. I had a blast with the exploration. I did not try the huge ones though. That massive apartment block however, that is a city all on its own.
@@SnowBee My pc's 5 or 6 yrs old now and while I've added a couple of new bits to it, it's still a potato at this point. Get's me by until my son tires of his, when I'll likely get it or upgrades to mine from it eventually :P Until then I just have to put up with the frame drops and avoid any I know will be big. Sucks to think it wouldn't be an issue if they didn't change so much I gotta play mods if I want to play it at all. Oh well, just grateful there are still mods there for me to use.
Poorly optimised. Huge number of assets included in them and with the core game not doing well already it makes it worse with so many zombies mulling around. This can be seen especially in the cities. Even in the vanilla game without Compo Pack you can have huge frame drops in the cities. Water is poorly optimised, so often water POI's are terribly laggy.
Thanks, I got it from their official forum, which is outdated as well. Seems they only use discord. I have updated the link with my own one. Should have used it in the first place. Sorry about that.
It would, but you would have to check with them on their discord or maybe forum as it could require some changes. I don't know how UL is setup and if you can just add another mod to your mods folder.
Wow, those are some amazing POIs!! I do think however, that most of them aren't very fitting or "lore friendly" to the 7 Days Environment, despite looking so cool.
That could be correct... I mean a massive pinball machine or a castle with helicopter landing locations. lol You can choose to install just certain themes, so if it kills immersion for you, which I certainly understand, then leave out the theme park one. Maybe even the medieval pack could go, though some of those castles and monestary POI's look pretty great to explore.
@@SnowBee yeah exactly, the theme park and Medieval town are awesome, but on a serious playthrough it may be a better choice to just pick and choose which themes are the most fitting
uh have you never been to texas? a guy build a roller coaster in his yard while another has a house made out of beer can. and the asian theme there are many places in the us that go like that. maybe not that hard but close enough and hey your fighting zombies and your worried about a atat in someones front yaard?

Haha, yeah, I see where you are going with that. They are indeed. I know there are at least 250+ POI's coming in the new DF version pack. It will be interesting to see the changes.
Asia Looks AMAZING
I know, the architecture is beautiful.
Do you need to this to play the CP maps that already come with the darkness falls mod?
No, they are included, however it is not the full CP as some of the CP poi's are a bit heavy on resources and really kill your computer with lag. Then there are some that are just way too heavy on loot. Still there are 100's included.
main ones im looking forward to are the medieval mansions. not the heli pad one. thats dumb. but the one right after that looked really cool.
I must admit, when I do a playthrough I will likely only enter some of those mansions, castles and especially the huge POI's once I am a pretty high level. There are truck loads of zombies and ambushes lurking in some of those POI's. Really can't wait.
Haha, awesome. That's my store in the Eden Center Mall. Thanks Capp and Ninja ❤️
That must have taken a seriously long time to construct?
Ya, MentalNinja and CaptainWhiskerBiscuits have been working/updating it for years. They put my store in during a19. All those stores are different youtubers and or Twitch streamers. It was a lot of fun during the unveiling each version update.
You can almost hear the wails of distress over the x library.
Indeed, I shot that bit three times. Centre of the city, plus large POI's around it... my pc sounded like Scotty on Star Trek, "I'm givin' her all she's got, captain!" :D
I so LOVE that POI.....can't wait to see how nasty it will be in A20 w/DF.
@@matthewgarrison-perkins5377 You will have to manually add it to a map, then. It will not be returning by default.
Edit: And I messed up not using the three demonic essence I had to get the healing perk.
Yes, awesome work.
After being installed and a world created. If friends want to join can they easily? Or do they have to download the mod as well.
Yeah, it is like playing 7D2D, someone joining a 7D2D server, must also have that version on their computer. At its heart, it is a mod, so like playing Darkness Falls, you would need that particular mod on the server and client computer.
@@SnowBee Thanks for the info! keep up the awesome work! big fan of the channel.
@@kayetanpalka8278 Thanks for the reply, always great to get positive comments :)
Looks amazing! Is there anywhere else to download it from ? I cant seem to access the discord link it just keep saying "Unable to accept invite" :(
I looked on the forum initially, but they had the discord link for the latest news.
Here is the link, maybe further into the forum posts is a recent link: community.7daystodie.com/topic/21900-magolis-compo-pack-by-the-compopack/
@@SnowBee Thanks, ive worked it out now, what a noob lol!
The Hobbits House was so awesome! Hopes it’s in this CP!! 😀
Make a RWG map with more plains and fewer mountains/hills. That can hopefully help them clump together.
Asia settlement bout to have me on “All hail Zeon”
lol. Gundam! :)
The race track is already in Alpha20
Not that particular one tough. Also there are others which I didn't show. Even the Drug Lord's estate has different versions. Another one is called Drug Lords City, but they are very similar.
Got it. Does look very similar. Either way, it's all fun
First thing I noticed in the Asian settlement .... that roof is trying to achieve lift off.
That is a lot of birds.
Yeah, and that is not the half of it... there are a number of Compo Pack POI's that I noticed while recording has some sneaky bird traps like that. Air raids from those crafty little pests is going to be something to watch for on many of the POI's. I love it! :D
@@SnowBee Can't wait to give it a try when I get home!
Out of all those poi’s I just hope the race track makes it into d falls….
SO MUCH POLYMER FOR COIL AMMO :o
Yes, I actually made a comment in my original script about it. However, I scrapped it and removed the talking so the music was just left.
Its been in DF before so sure Kaine will add it in.
Can't wait for more Bookstores and Libraries😁
Yes, though I have confirmation now that the Spiral Library will likely not make it in. Apparently it is worse than it was in Alpha 19. That is the building I showed at the start of the mega city part in the video. 😞
At least there are others.
@@jdszombieremovalservice2394 Yes, I hope so :)
When do you it'll be released?
Good question Jon. I think we may see an initial release in another week or so. I think it will be ongoing so they may release some and keep adding and tweaking as the weeks go on.
No, I am wrong, I see that Khaine did make a comment and said "when its ready", but has guessed it may be "weeks". So we should not hold our breath. Khaine has however made predictions well into the future at other times, and then suddenly released early. So, I don't think it will be too long until we see maybe something of an initial release. I will likely make an announcement or post as this is quite an anticipated release.
I tried to add this to 7D2D and for some reason it won't load any of the prefabs, any idea's?
I made a copy of the vanilla 7D2D game folder. Then created a mods folder under that. Now, using the complete pack download, I then extracted the compo pack into the mods folder. The complete pack actually has two compo pack folders when you extract it. So there is a folder called CP48 Complete, then another one under that. So I copied the second folder and its contents into the mods folder. Do not copy the initial folder. You can tell the correct folder to copy as when you select it, it has two folders called "config" and "prefabs" under it.
Finally, start the game and create a new map with RWG, and play a new game with that map.
@@SnowBee it will only install everything but the asian pois, etc. Just the vanilla stuff.
@@badassbronxchic1244 Well, it is better than nothing :)
However, if you are using the complete pack, then the POI's are all there. So they should load depending on map size and other random stuff I guess.
Any news on the DF mod?
Yeah, it has been a while since this.
Version 4.1 came out many weeks ago, here is the update: ua-cam.com/video/R88P8cfVhms/v-deo.html
It also includes info about the map and POI changes due to Compo Pack crap.
Then there is version 4.1.1: ua-cam.com/video/6bt9onK-L1U/v-deo.html
Hey SnowBee I wanted to lyk that the discord link for the download doesn't work...
I think it expired.
Please try now with the new link.
@@Lorri. No problem, glad my response helped.
Does anyone know if its ready for War3suk?
Possibly check on the War3zuk Discord?
I don't see a link to download the pack, just a link that asks if you want to join his Discord.
Why are POIs laggy?
Poorly optimised. Huge number of assets included in them and with the core game not doing well already it makes it worse with so many zombies mulling around. This can be seen especially in the cities. Even in the vanilla game without Compo Pack you can have huge frame drops in the cities. Water is poorly optimised, so often water POI's are terribly laggy.
Discord link is invalid
Thanks, I got it from their official forum, which is outdated as well. Seems they only use discord.
I have updated the link with my own one. Should have used it in the first place. Sorry about that.
Does it work with Undead Legacy?
It would, but you would have to check with them on their discord or maybe forum as it could require some changes. I don't know how UL is setup and if you can just add another mod to your mods folder.
@@SnowBee ok nice. Thanks for answering. 😋✌🏻
Wow, those are some amazing POIs!!
I do think however, that most of them aren't very fitting or "lore friendly" to the 7 Days Environment, despite looking so cool.
That could be correct... I mean a massive pinball machine or a castle with helicopter landing locations. lol
You can choose to install just certain themes, so if it kills immersion for you, which I certainly understand, then leave out the theme park one.

The whole pack looks amazing
I last played WoW for a short while around 2008/9, so I can't recall many features. However, this POI is called "Lions Pride", so yes, you are probably correct, it is WoW releated. Nice spotting.
I wish they would support NitroGen or KingGen. But they have specifically stated that they won't. The built in RNG is soo bad.
You can also try the Infinity version, that gives you a lot of control for adding the POI's. More complicated to setup, but once it is done, you have a lot of control before adding them to the RWG. It is not too bad then.
