  • You all know how much I love a new stove, especially a remote canister stove. At first glance this stove may look pretty mundane, but I assure you it is not. Two rings of flame and excellent flame control make this a real contender for my favorite remote canister stove!

I've used this one for a few years and the best part of it is it is extremely stable with my large Sea to Summit 3 L pot and it is slow to boil water but amazing for cooking when you want to just simmer without burning things.

The center spiral flame reminds of BRS 11 Stove design.

I feel like I unintentionally peruse UA-cam to find focus groups of people with the same unreasonable obsessions as myself so I don't feel alone in this large dark world. Or y'know... to find new stoves to buy.

I love remote stoves and when I saw the burner on this one lit up, I just like the way it looked. As far as AliExpress I've ordered multiple items from them never had a problem though it takes a long time to receive products sometimes. Regarding emergencies I've always said backpackers and campers are the ones who are going to be okay, we know how to survive.

Dude, did you know michigan has an upper peninsula? Yeah....with lots of trout and bass. Nature in abundance. Come check us out. Just don't get lost and die. Our forests are thousands of acres no cities and poor cell reception. I recommend the summer season.

Good review. I got my gas canisters one or two at a time. That way it is not much money at once and the stock piles up quickly (which reminds that I may spend more time in DIY markets and hardware stores than I thought). Having a few liters of alcohol for stoves does not hurt either.
A stove and some candles can turn a power outage into a nice evening with Mexican hot chocolate by candle light. That almost makes you look forward to the next power outage.

I live in Indiana and I have had power out for over a week before . It was a tornado at that time and I had wished I could have had something like this at the time ! I now have a couple stoves but I really like this one for some reason . I would possibly like to know what stoves are compatible with colman propane and the ones that are compatible with the little canisters ? I've watched most if not all of your videos and have loved them all . Even thought it has cost me because I want to go buy all of them lol 😆😅🤣😂 !! Great informative video as always Ernie ! Take care and stay safe my friend !!!

For less than 20 bucks you can fill 1 lb Propane (Tanks?) from your Grill 20 Lb tank. Less than 10 bucks for the fill adapter and less than 10 bucks for the converter on your camp stove. Assuming you have a scale to measure the fill on the 1lb tank. This will get you thru a big emergency long term. For Motorcycle camping this is perfect for me. And no issues with the Iso/ Propane canister disposal.
I just gor the Red Camp SKU: rc22073 for $21.59 on Amazon and $8.99 for 2 Adapters, ( one to Share) the 20 Lb valve was 8.99 also.

If you had a narrow pot, could you fold the legs out half way to get more support on the pot?

It's all good, but it's too heavy. It is almost the same weight as a multi-fuel stove.
If traveling with a backpack, I would rather bring a stove of about 150g.
If I travel by car, I prefer to use an economical and convenient cassette stove, such as Soto St-330.
Thank you for your review all the time! very useful!

    Hi!
    I have 3 questions:
-Can you tell me please how much water you put in that pot in ml. (3:40)?
-And also did you ever check avg time it consumes in the medium position?
-Which one is better in your opinion: Bulin BL100-B15, ALOCS CS-G04PRO, ALOCS CS-G05, or BRS-11?
    Thank you!

Economic use of the fuel is number one priority for me.
I am using diesel v power in my optimus no 00 and it is not as hot as parrafin but diesel is cheaper and more easily sourced

The excuse *I* use to keep buying camp stoves is because I give a yearly lecture to a Boy Scout troop on various fuels and advantages and disadvantages of each.

Ernie, since you are really into stoves and gas canisters, what is the best way, or your preferred way to measure how much fuel is left in a gas canister after it's been used a few times?

We live in Alaska and were without a stove for a few days while we were waiting for a new one to arrive. I have a propane camp stove and brought it into the kitchen so I could cook. One of the delivery men said that those stoves are only to be used outside. What about this stove? Will the fumes be dangerous to breathe?

Fyi ur light is strobing on the mosquito screen behind u, triggers my light sensitivity, yeah, just close my eyes, but then I can't see the closed captioning 😝
I agree, same experience with AliExpress, my lil folding table got lost in transit, almost 5 months b4 my buyers guarantee was running out & I ordered a new one & got refunded the old one. I love it now, for comfort hiking trips. Some things got damaged, refunded. Others, wrong items, refunded. Plus, to 🇨🇦 no fees or duties, unlike ordering from 🇺🇸, sure it might take a little longer, but good things go to those who wait 😎

This review finally made me realize why I dislike small propane stoves. It’s the precarious way they sit so tall on top of the bottle, hot water/food teetering dangerously. This stove is compact, has a wide pot stand, and sits low so you can safely COOK not just boil some water.

Does it have a preheater for inverted canister use in cold weather?
If not, then it's not very interesting.
If I am going to carry the weight of a remote canister stove then it will be an INVERTED remote canister stove.
