Ernie I’m watching your channel for about 3-4 years now and I have to say you’re the reason I’m addicted to stoves. I own this stove and yes it takes very long to cool down but you’re correct it’s a cool stove!! Thanks for the video!!
I 100% agree with you. This is a really good stove. I just got one for myself and I really like it. The design is compact when folded and yet VERY STABLE when extended! It cooks quite well when turned down low to a gentle simmer and just fine when turned up on high. I bought it for motorcycle camping so weight is not as important as it would be for backpacking. The only thing I have found that you have to get "used to" is that it takes a very long time to cool down!
Looks like I'm buying a new stove, Thanks for the review Ernie! Great stove, great price.
Cool is important.
I love that it concentrates the flame in the middle of the base of the pot... not lapping up the sides. Thanks Ernie!!!
I like it. I often use a frying pan, then wide ones are much better. Will definitely try this and stare blindly at the flame.
Love the smaller pot supports like for Stanley adventure pot.
Once I switched to a remote cannister stove I never looked back, but ones like this with the preheat tube are always expensive. I noticed the pot stands immediately, game changer there. If it will work with one lb tanks I can get it to work with my 5lb tank. Picking one up as a backup for my teardrop trailer.
Loving the content and the channel. Thank you.
I bought it. It's cool. I guess I need to read instructions on using the fuel stand. Whether the can needs the stand or not. Has worked both ways for me.
I have to agree. That’s a smooth looking stove with excellent features.
Thanks for sharing.
Neat design. I dig that flame pattern.
Great stove. Helpful. Thx
Once again, thank you!!
Thanks for sharing that Ernie. I'll have to put it on my wish list for Amazon.
Cool stove Ernie. Thanks for sharing!
Love the content!!
Nice job, Ernie.
I thought about ordering one myself. I like the fact that it keeps the flames internal to lessen wind effects.
Think this one deserves a new category Ballistic Butane Burner !
Did you do a lowest flame setting test for simmer functionality!!! I will have to say, CampingMoon has some pretty innovative stuff!!!--that's how a company stays alive!!!--Rapid design innovation, quick tooling and first to market are key!!!
I agree a simmer testing video in windy conditions. Would sell me faster. Southwest Texas is always windy.

Yep - that’s a cool one..
That IS a cool stove! And the price point!!!
I got my first remote can stove this winter, a Firemaple Polaris I believe is what it is called. It has a pressure regulator built into the valve and worked well at below freezing temps. I’m sold on the remote style stoves and may have to try this one.
Thanks Dr. Ernie for the review. This stove would be nice for lightweight car camping not so much for the backpack.
Hi Everyone
My moonstove yesterday and used it today on a fishing trip, wow what fantastic stove from a single coffee mug to a lrg frying pan for a good cook up .well deserved being in the top 5.
Jim
Nice option and review , thanks for sharing , God bless !
A Little late but I am very happy you’re back.
Finally a solution to my search for an ultralight and subcompact stove!
Hey, love the videos can't wait to see the white gas stove reviews. I rent gear on the side and watch your reviews religiously for better products for the company. Keep putting out awesome reviews
great video and a great stove too, the weight and lack of piezo don't bother me, cheers for all your videos they really do help us see what's out there 👍
Sic ‘em Ernie. Looks like a nice car camping stove to go with my original MSR Windburner for pots and pans.
I have Boulin 3500.Enjoy the remote canister design, and with mine, built in wind block.Have given two as gifts!
The Trangia gas burner has the pre heat tube as well makes a huge difference if using butane instead of lpg especially in minus temps. Cheers Steve from Aus.
Fire (as Beavis would say). Ernie, you are the best at reviewing. I really enjoy your videos and the knowledge you bring to the table. It would be great to see a Top 5 lighters from you. Thank you!
Thank you! I have it on wish list for 6 months this month in July should get it for my birthday lol
Gosh dang it! I just bought a Soto Stormbreaker and an Optimus Polaris and then I see this video, lol! I'm a dang stove addict! Looking forward to using this one though. I appreciate that it's different and unique. All the best to you, brother.
Yeah, I'll probably get this for my first remote canister stove.
Was going to get the BRS-11, this looks like a bit heavier duty version.
Be good to sear steaks with propane, in a cast iron pan.
The music when the flame pattern started, what a dork. I love it. I personally feel like a remote canister stove should have an ignitor, if I'm trying to save weight I'm not choosing this style.
Big advantage of remote canisters: you can [should] use a separate wind screen which will also keep wind away from your pot. That will definitly help cooking time.
Great stove for car camping in a tiny car.
The lightest inverted remote canister stoves weigh 5-6oz, which is still a lot.
Would be nice to see a 3oz inverted remote canister stove.
Please please make a video about stoves compatible with cheap butane canisters.
Looks like a Vortex flame pathern 😊. Maybe that increases the performance in that stove
Ernie that external generator is just waiting to get caught on something and snapped off or bent up beyond repair. Most stoves put their generators inside the fire ring.
Thanks for the review! What is the purpose of the copper tubing on the side? Is that for preheating in sub zero Temps? Thanks Ernie!
Very cool. Are you planning on reviewing the Fire Box gas burner? Would like your input on that. Thanks.
Interesting stove. Not sure such a wide flame pattern is good for smaller mugs-550ml and smaller. The fact it stays hot for so long would be a deal breaker for me. I like to break my stove down as soon as possible after boiling water. With my Soto Anicus that’s only a couple of minutes before it can be handled safely.
there's a third campingmoon stove you should test. Its dope too.
I have the same stove, a japanese youtuber convert this stove to be run on gasoline by just adding a 2mm cable inside the preheat tube and a gasoline tank and pump assembly.
Any chance you could share a link? I’m probably going to buy this stove and want to get a few adapters to increase flexibility
I would rather have one of the burners with the larger metal case and cheap 8oz butane canisters. Reason: Stoves used primarily in camp. Even sturdier than this stove. Up to 15,000 BTU’s. Self-contained. Butane is cheaper. You’re not crazy, but ease of use, probably longevity of stove and the other pros I’ve listed. Thanks Ernie.
The addiction is real. I don't think I will ever have as many stoves as PaleoHiker but for sure am becoming a stoveaholic. LOL Looks Like I'm buying another one. 😂
Have you tested firemaple’s saturn stove?
Do the boil times change when running the canister inverted? On my MSR Whisperlite International, it seems to burn much hotter when I invert the canister. I've never done a boil time test to verify this, but there is a very noticeable increase in the "roar" of the stove and size of the flame when you invert the canister.
Can I put it in the trangia 25 lower windshild? Thanks
I'm really tempted to pick one up, but I always worry about the quality of the metals in these budget products.
The use case for me would be to swap out my Whisperlite for groups/fancy meals on summer trips.
That would mean heating up lots of water/having a flame going for a longer period of time which would mean the stove getting hot and staying hot for a longer period. Just not confident that cheap metals will hold up to that abuse over time.
One of the recent Amazon reviews has some negative things to say, so gonna have to pass on this one.
I would bet that any MSR or other higher end stove uses very similar metals mined in China...just sayin'.
Can I use a butane canister with this stove, thanks?
Quick question, you said the flame pattern INCREASES fuel consumption? Wouldn’t it decrease it?
Is it comparable with the Heat exchange Pots?
You covered up the sound that the stove makes with your music. How loud is this stove? Maybe a re-review with just the sound of the burner burning? Thanks for sharing.
Looked like the gas bottle was either nearly empty or too cold to provide full flame at the end of both boil tests. Which was it?
Just try an Optimus #8 or #8R!
Almost each and every stove you show and link on Amazon is not available 😢 wanna buy this stove...where else can I get it?
Went through a gas phase for more than 10yrs. Glad I've moved on to meths/wood/solid 😊
When my state isn’t a tinder box the requires gas stoves, I 100% agree with you. Much simpler and more enjoyable. I’m out in the woods to relax not be
In a rush. Building and maintaining a small fire for my meal is part of that.
Those jet engine stoves aren't very stealthy. Better take your Trangia for backup. So I wait 3 extra minutes for boiling water.
Yes I do think your crazy but my kind of crazy 😂. Yup the cool factor is very hight on this one.
It would be a no brainer if it came with the adapters for both propane and butane canisters like a lot of other Amazon stoves do.
Haha. You are costing me a lot of money with your reviews.
That’s a realy heavy stove…whisperlite only weighs 320g….aint no way I’d take non refillable gas canisters over a multi fuel liquid stove ..
It's looks like a UFO
"One GALLON propane canisters" ????
You sure you're not making money as a [shill]? One of your favorite stoves??? top five???
I'm making rude noises at you.
Lol I think ur crazy I'm not buying anything from the cpp
Ewwww Baylor 🤢......( waco native had to troll) 😂
Campingmoon has great products! very high quality!
