If i was ever to win the lottery that DB5 would be right at the top of my list. Thank you for another great narrated and in-depth look at the auctioned cars which was a fantastic watch and much appreciated Mitch. It must be hard not to just throw your hand up at some of these beauties that went under the hammer, but mate even some of these basic classic cars are getting so expensive now. Look forward to the next post. 👍
Thank you for the comment, I'm glad you enjoy the videos! yes it is quite the challenge not to get carried away and end up driving one of the classics home 😆
Mitch never mind too long - I was disappointed it finished so soon!! I think that red BMW was an M535i rather than an M5 - the difference being of course, that the one at the auction had the 12valve 218bhp engine - the full fat M5 is the 24valve 286bhp and would have gone for several multiples of what that one didnt sell for😂 Such a great video, could have watched for another 45 minutes!!
Yuk, you brought back memories of me having to endure, driving a 1996 Escort 55D van at work.....the 1.6D version. They were so bad. 0-60 mph time is stated as 14 secs, felt more like 20+ secs! A zero for looks too! 2 good things about them, they key unlocked the doors and the stereo was like any other stereo.
I liked your video ivegot a 1977 porsche 911 based on the the rs brilliant yellow good body work I owed for 34yrs thinking of taking it the action. 6/7 April but got no idea wat it's worth of these day
Great watch Mitch glad your out there mate thanks for sharing with us, we're to start there were so many great cars, the Anglia van was great, I liked the Saxo and the blue Capri I could go through the whole lot no way I could have went it would have taken me a week to walk round them all thanks again mate

Wow, that Capri 3.0S. What a car. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that colour. It’s one of the last 3.0S too, on a W plate. The first 2.8i came out on a W plate, if my memory serves me right.
My Dad and I went to an auction and bought an st24 Mondeo for just over 3k, smoke was coming out of the exhaust but thought nothing of it. Long story short, cracked head gasket and it was fooooked. What a waste of money but it sounded lovely did the engine!
It wasn't an M5 he got that wrong it was an M535i 218bhp instead of 286bhp, still nice car though. E28 M5 would have been £100,000 plus also it had Alpina wheels instead of the standard MTEC's
Can't believe that BMW 535i didn't go!! That was beautiful. Love the Capri 3.0 but surely that's too money now for a Capri? And for a Sierra Cossie? Merc 190E or BMW 5 for me
the st170 getting very rare.i had a nice one same colour back in 2016.ive had a few mk1s and now have a sport tdci 87k in ink blue which was rare when new.mk1s are in the climb.
Great auction that was! ..was great to put a face to a name! ..Spoke to you briefly near the low mileage burgundy Metro....must have been the biggest classic auction I've been to in a while! ... keep up the good videos 👍👍😎😎
DB5’s these days are the hardest to find! Theres so many different ones go for different money. Commissioned ones beleive it or not are worth less than the ones that haven’t been touched. Originality always wins! Especially with old Astons 👏🏻🫡 class video mate! Channel is growing nicely! Well deserved
Thought you might like that DB5 mate! I'm not surprised that an untouched original goes for more than a restored example, it does make perfect sense! Cheers fella 👍🏻
So glad you had a look over that focus st theyve been peaking my interest as I always wanted the rs but don’t think I’ll ever get one for the money they ask now! Haha 😊
I remember shopping around for my first car in 1999. I went to view a Nova SR, but didn’t like the leg room. I’m 6ft 2 tall, so gave it a miss. I also looked at a 1.9 205 GTI, though ended up buying a MK2 Golf. Happy days
I love these auction videos, really takes me back to seeing a lot of these on a daily. The government car scrappage schemes have wiped a lot of these beauties out. Kudos to all who save these cars now. Anglia Auctions.. I’d spend a fortune!
I loved the mk5 cortina and the 3.0S capri. But if i brought the mk2 Escort estate immediately when i'dve got home I'd have to take off the mk1 Mexico stripes as they just look wrong on a mk2. Despite the fact that mk1 and mk2 estates shared the same bodyshell but with a different front. It was obviously a "Mexico tribute" done on the cheap as it still had its factory square headlamps and chrome bumpers, as well as its original interior. The picture in the car is a mk1 with RS2000 stripes plus bubble arches.
Car of the auction for me was the, Fiat 126. Don't often see cars sold on a, Maidan bid but it caught every one asleep on an appreciating classic. Very rare car now especially non big bumper and plastic exterior.
Thank you pal, glad you enjoy them! It's great to attend the auction even to just window shop. Just make sure you super glue yours hands in your pockets 🤣
Had a E21 320 that had 334k miles ran sweet as a nut ...also had a e30 325 that was just over 300k no issues either , think its luck of the draw as has a few with far less miles bags of spanners , the engine fron my e36 went into a 5 series after next owner got rear-ended
Capri 3lt S gorgeous. I had a old white beetle. Used as a run around for my staff. Left it on my mates drive for over a year. Told him to scrap it 😥😥 Mercedes 2.3 were built like tanks. Now soft as shit. Can’t believe that mondeo st went for so much
Someone put do you actually talk like that how sad that people do that you are a great person great video sad people probably jealousy lol take care 👍👍
prices almost affordable again they never made a mk2 escort estate, just the wings + dash were updated mk2 mexico's were 1600 pintos, you needed a RS 2000 for the 2ltr keep it up young man
Not ITV but I’d argue a lot less adverts than ITV. I attend these auctions in my own time and record, edit then upload to UA-cam. The SHORT Ads you watch simply give a little bit back to me, a thank you almost. After all, UA-cam is free to watch 👍🏻
Great vid mate, the ST24 will be a rare thing now, I agree with you on the ST170 being a future classic, loads have been thrown away already!! I thought I recognised the Citroën from WB!! 3.0S Capri and the Saff Cossy were nice things too 👍
Milage doesn’t determine the seat bolster wear? Low milage could mean many short trips, leading to more wear on the bolster 👍🏻 Also if your ever unsure on milage, the MOT database is easy accessible to check for milage discrepancy’s 👍🏻
A bit weird, a Ford Escort Mexico "tribute" that just happens to be an estate!!!! The only thing that that would have to do with Mexico is smuggling immigrants hidden inside it. As for the Cosworth - - - did you see the one that went to auction that was in mint condition??? Spend a good few thousand fully restoring it and watch the bids flying in when you go to sell it. The mint one went for over half a million!!!!
Yes I did see the one that went for half a million BUT that was very low mileage (4 figures) and had not been restored. It was in mint original condition 👍🏻
I could have had a ford Anglia with practically no mileage on it for nothing when I was 18 , it was my granddad's. I didn't want it. What an idiot oh my god
Grew up when most of these cars were first hitting the roads & posters of them were on bedroom walls., along with Linda Lusardi!
Remember it well!!!

Thank you pal! Yes I admit I'm no BMW expert but I try. I was just reading off the description with this one 😆
Also the original E28 M5 was left hand drive only
@@simonfield1266 E28 M5 was available in RHD, I think your remembering the E30 M3 from the same period which was LHD only

I bought a saxo VTS in 2000. First one with face lift. in wicked red. What a car. this one here got the VTR wheels.
I was thinking the same thing about the 14” VTR alloys. Did the VTS only have 15’s, or did the pre-facelift ones ever get 14’s as well?
what a gorgeous Cortina, would really love one again, cheers rodders
I know, the cortina was incredible 😆
The bubbles definitely burst.
That 3.0s blue Capri was a local car used to see him take his rubbish to the dump in that !!
Bubbles burst? I thought loads of these classics went for strong prices. That 3.0 Capri and the Sierra Cosworth 👍🏻
I liked your video ivegot a 1977 porsche 911 based on the the rs brilliant yellow good body work I owed for 34yrs thinking of taking it the action. 6/7 April but got no idea wat it's worth of these day

That’s a shame! Good job this auction drives them through, but still a risk admittedly! 👍🏻
that Beetle is a perfect Beach Buggy candidate
Great video Mitch. For me it has to be either the Mk5 Cortina Crusader, the Sierra Sapphire Cosworth or The BMW E28 M5. Three absolute stunning cars.
It wasn't an M5 he got that wrong it was an M535i 218bhp instead of 286bhp, still nice car though. E28 M5 would have been £100,000 plus also it had Alpina wheels instead of the standard MTEC's
