Best day of our China trip so far! Loved, loved, LOVED the Avatar mountains :) what's the best landscape you've ever seen? We'd love to know! Thank you for watching and please subscribe so you don't miss out on the other incredible stuff China has to offer. We'd love to have you join us for the ride. See you in the next one?
This is not the most beautiful place in China. If you want to visit the most beautiful place in China, you should go to Western Sichuan. Western Sichuan is like the Switzerland of China, except that it is poor compared with the real Switzerland. You should definitely visit Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong, and Mount Siguniang. If you visit these places, then you don't need to visit any other places in China. Here are the wikipedia pages of the above places: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiuzhaigou en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huanglong_Scenic_and_Historic_Interest_Area en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Siguniang

So Lush and green and blue and beautiful. No wonder avatar filmed there.China is actually full of countless beauty, green natural scenic places like that. China is a Huge country.
Kim, I have seen quite a few videos of your China trip, but this is brings out your best facial features on those close-up shots. You are a beautiful woman!
These old people like photos, one time I travel with a group old people, I have to take photos for my roomates practically every few steps at every site.
I've been there last September. It's really amazing ! Proud to be a Chinese ! We have so many breathing taking scenery all over the country ! You may not finish them in a few years. Luckily we have modernized the infrastructure all over the country and hence, these gorgeous scenery become more easily accessible to visitors.
Stunning drone view, I need to go there for my next travel, but where's Tianmen or glass bridge? you guys look like only hiking half of the moutain, maybe I should arrange 2 days to stay, I know sceneries in Tibet or Xinjiang could blow my head, but need a specail permission for foreigners to go.
Zhangjiajie is the city where the Zhangjiajie national park is, the Tianmen mountain and the glass bridge. They are all located at different parks and locations though. Zhangjiajie National Park is located about 50km from Zhangjiajie City. The Tianmen Mountain is actually located very close to Zhangjiajie City. You take the cable car to the mountain from the city centre. The glass bridge is about an hour further from Zhangjiajie National Park. We went to Zhangjiajie National Park for two days, but we only filmed the first one. In this video we did the northern part with all the beautiful views. The second day we went hiking in a loop on the Eastern and Southern side. It was beautiful too. We would recommend doing at least two days for Zhangjiajie National Park. We decided to skip the glass bridge after doing some research. We read that the scenery is similar to the views you get at zhangjiajie National Park and that the glass bridge itself is not that impressive. We also decided to skip Tianmen Mountain because it was difficult in terms of timing for us. We were leaving on the 1st of October to get to Shanghai and avoid the crowds in Zhangjiajie. Otherwise we would have had to stay longer and stay in Zhangjiajie during golden week. The cost of all the entrance tickets can add up too. Next time when we come to China, we will visit Tibet.
I have been there once following ground travelling. Your detailed information is much more than the scenaries I had seen. Thank you for bringing me the beautiful memory.
If possible, I recommend u to go visit HuangShan mountain which is near to Hangzhou (3h bullet train from shanghai) . For most of Chinese, that's the best mountainous landscape in China.
ye zhang I'm local Huangshan. Huangzhou is the nearest big city to us. In the past, I always drive to Hangzhou within 3h and the newly built bullet train has shorten the journey to 1h40min. What's your definition of 'Close' ? from xihu lake to city center?
Naick & Kim Its amazing to grow up in the small city indeed;I’m currently living in Changsha, the capital city of hunan province, which is 3-hour drive from zhangjiajie
Last time I visit this place, my mom want to leave me there for a year, so I could lose quite some weight walking in the mountains every day. It’s really good for health.
Just AWESOME! ...... If I ever go now I know that with my back issues won't stop my from enjoying this since some guys with a chair on their shoulders can take you there... AMAZING!
Yes that's true. You cannot do any stairs? You don't really need to though. There is also an elevator to reach the most popular parts. Kim had some persistent knee pain and was really helped by exercices of a method called 'Egoscue'. Have a look at it, it really helped her after 3 months of knee pains and seeing lots of doctors and specialists.

Wait, what? Do you mean something else? There are Mcdonalds restaurant in Beijing, Xian and pretty much any other city in China, so it's not possible this is the highest latitude mcdonald's. Zhangjiajie is definitely worth going back to.
Thanks for the recommendation. Our idea at the start of the year was to visit Yunan province. Unfortunately covid happened. We will be back in China though!
Hahaha...without ZJJ would there be Avatar? Now Avatar is synonymous with ZJJ or is it the other way round? You cannot talk of Avatar without talking about ZJJ hehehe....Truly, but truly, ZJJ is magical! It is the home of the gods! And you guys were touched by the divine with your visit there, surely. ZJJ is like an ethereal painting, too, that, I think, inspired the Chinese art form - nature featured prominently,, enveloped in celestial mist, with people painted as almost an afterthought , quite unlike western art where people are featured prominently and nature as an afterthought. The contrast is like morning and night. But give me Chinese painting anytime. It touches the soul and centers you and brings you back to your divine core. I love ZJJ!
Probably not. The mountains look like a miracle. We saw some very beautiful art work for sale on the mountain and in the shops near the entrance. Some truly stunning photographs and paintings. Especially the ones where the mist lingers between the mountains are beautiful. We do have a lot of western art, mainly paintings focusing on nature and scenery. The Mona Lisa does not represent all our art forms. So I would have to disagree with your statement on 'western art'. Maybe your experience on that is a bit narrow. Have a look at some of the famous painters like Monet, Van Gogh, Homer, etc. Even more contemporary artists focus on a lot of different things than people.
Hey guys, nice to hear from you again! This place was really the highlight of our trip! Where are you now? We are in Shanghai now. About a good week left in China.
But the price is totally worth it and the ticket is valid for multiple days! We always film on our DSLR, the Canon 80D. We love it. Aerial shots are from our Mavic drone. You can always check the full gear list in the video description, it's all linked there 😉
@@NaickKim when you scan your finger, your picture also been taken, if something happen with in the area, those information could be use for helping, like missing person, so they know what they would search for.
That is true. Reporting about China in western media is very limited. Usually it involves politics as well. That's why we are happy to share the beauty of the country!

If you are really afraid of heights then it's not ideal haha, but the landscape is beautiful :) I (Kim) actually also am not a big fan of heights but it only becomes a problem when I am standing on something (semi) wobbly. Then even just being 2 meters above the ground can make it hard to continue on, hehe...
China has so many hidden gems. Such a large place to explore. I just love the natural untouched areas. When you are coming in from a capital city this place touches your heart. No amount of wealth can give you such a emotional feeling of relief and calm.
Yes that is drone footage. I think it is allowed to fly there. The place is so massive that nobody will be disturbed by it. We staid for two days in the park. We filmed just one day. The second day we went hiking on a loop through the park for a full day. It was really beautiful. The main sights can be done in one day though. We would recommend staying near the Tianzi Ticket Office. It is a lot less busy and you are immediately near the main viewing platforms.
Zhangjiajie is phenomenal, but it cannot even be ranked as my top 10 places I've been to in China...if there is just one country which offers us a great chance to understand the planet earth, then it cannot be a country other than China...
Is that difficult to climb the mountains there? I am Chinese but I haven't gone there. I want to go somewhere which is beautiful and not difficult to wander.
No it's not difficult! There are a lot of buses in the park so you don't need to walk too much and in the parts where you do it is all paved roads, so no dirt roads. There are a few places where there are some stairs but nothing too steep. Incredible views, pretty low effort = happy campers 😉

Hey !!! We are so happy to find your channel :) . It was nice to meet you on this fantastic place. See you ;)
Gwendoline et Valentin
Hey guys, nice to hear from you again! This place was really the highlight of our trip! Where are you now? We are in Shanghai now. About a good week left in China.
Wow, the tickets are really steep. Did you use an SLR for this video? Great quality.
But the price is totally worth it and the ticket is valid for multiple days! We always film on our DSLR, the Canon 80D. We love it. Aerial shots are from our Mavic drone. You can always check the full gear list in the video description, it's all linked there 😉
amazing and beautiful video. I can't stop loving it
It was the most beautiful place in China for us.
the finger print just make sure no one lost inside.
Huh? How does a fingerprint make sure you don't get lost?
@@NaickKim when you scan your finger, your picture also been taken, if something happen with in the area, those information could be use for helping, like missing person, so they know what they would search for.
@@jxmai7687 Haven't been there, but have already learned that. Haha thanks for showing me the really beautiful view n tell me.
This is beautiful. I dream to be there.
China has tons of natural beauty but not reported by western media.
That is true. Reporting about China in western media is very limited. Usually it involves politics as well. That's why we are happy to share the beauty of the country!
@@NaickKim Xinjiang is the most amazing part, head north or west of CHINA,things will become more breathtaking..Such as Gansu , Inner Mongolia, Tibet, Yunnan
Next time we really want to visit the western parts of China. The scenery looks really nice there!
@@NaickKim Given the huge population of China, it's amazing how well the nation is governed, from big like the HSR to small like managing this park.
Thanks for producing such a gd video, fair comment to China! Thx
just discovered your channel and so far i am loving it. subscribed.
Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it.
Beautiful place been there last April but it was too crowded! I'd like to go there again for the food!! LOL
Agree it is very crowded. But if you wait around for a bit, you can have some spots to yourself for a couple of minutes.
Splendid and magnificent landscape indeed and yours appreciation to the view are impress too :) enjoy and have a great time
Thanks a lot! Have you been to Zhangjiajie?
@@NaickKim never but make a wish, someday maybe
@@kkw6320 that is true! Where are you from?
@@NaickKimMalaysia, I heard that 九寨沟 Jiuzhaigou re open, other place that I never visit lol , you should visit
I'll check it out, thanks a lot!
很喜欢你的视频,欢迎来中国旅游!玩的愉快!
I think I can't stnad near the edge of the bridge, which is too high for me. But I really enjoy the landscape.
自然风景,人文景观,拍的都很漂亮,祝你们在中国旅行愉快,快乐每一天。😀
Love it ! Well done guys! Wanna see more of these
Yangshuo is coming up! Better get ready ;)
So beautiful
It's a dream come true!!
China has so many hidden gems. Such a large place to explore. I just love the natural untouched areas. When you are coming in from a capital city this place touches your heart. No amount of wealth can give you such a emotional feeling of relief and calm.
We agree with that! What's your favourite place in China?
@@NaickKim I don't have any favourite but Chengdu is another spectacular place full of history which I like. I love the history of the places.
you guys are doing great areial videos....really nice...esp the ones at great wall.....tks guys
Thanks Will! Naick is our resident drone pilot. I have the attention span of a fish so my job is just to make sure we can still see it 😂🐠
Oh~~~very very nice!Thank you for bringing me such a great video.
You are very welcome, thank YOU for watching :)
Great, you had been to some amazing places.
thank you for this informative video. Will definitely want to visit this place some time in the future.
You should!❤👍
Did you take the elevator? The view from the elevator is amazing!
No, we decided to hike up the mountain on the second day. The views are beautiful there too.
Great video. Really want to visit this place 😃. Hopefully sooner 🙏😊
Thank you for sharing.
You are very welcome Stanley! Hope you can visit soon!!
I also went there in 2019, such an amazing and breathtaking place 😃👍
Try and go to Jiuzhaiguo, especially if its autumn. A place even more beautiful
better than this? wow that must be incredible! :)
Naick & Kim 九寨沟
@@liy8202 thanks
I went there in an early summer. It is really really beautiful but little foreigners know it.
@@NaickKim 新疆、九寨沟 跟张家界完全不同,只会更美。
Very nice. Are those drone footage? It would be great if drone is allowed there. Did you stay there just for a day?
Yes that is drone footage. I think it is allowed to fly there. The place is so massive that nobody will be disturbed by it. We staid for two days in the park. We filmed just one day. The second day we went hiking on a loop through the park for a full day. It was really beautiful. The main sights can be done in one day though.
We would recommend staying near the Tianzi Ticket Office. It is a lot less busy and you are immediately near the main viewing platforms.
Naick & Kim
Did you go during Chinese national holidays or before that?
It would be extremely packed during holidays I will think.
We went just before that, on the 29th and 30th of September. I think it would indeed be very, very busy this week.
我在2018十月去的,哦!我想念這個地方
That’s definitely an amazing spot for visiting.
I love you channel, thanks for sharing. I miss my country so much.
Thank you Lili! Where are you living now?
I am living in USA now
Nice video! Which route did you take? I am looking for the best route for a day in Zhangjiajie.
We took the upper route, which has all the best viewing points. Our hotel provided a map with a good route.
The beautiful place ever seen
Dream to be there one day...
We agree it is a really wonderful and special place!
If you want to feel the nature power of the mountains.you can go to Huashan.
We wanted to do the famous plank walk there but since it was closed we ended up not going. Looks beautiful though!
They made a simple sedan chair out of a sturdy chair.
Zhangjiajie is phenomenal, but it cannot even be ranked as my top 10 places I've been to in China...if there is just one country which offers us a great chance to understand the planet earth, then it cannot be a country other than China...
What would be your top places to visit in China?
Naick & Kim I think they are Xinjiang, Tibet, Qinghai, Sichuan, Inner Mongolia...
Great video guys. Very genuine and sincere reactions. Just put this on our bucket list.
Loved it! Where you staying near the parc itself?
Sabrina X X 🇬🇧
Is that difficult to climb the mountains there? I am Chinese but I haven't gone there. I want to go somewhere which is beautiful and not difficult to wander.
No it's not difficult! There are a lot of buses in the park so you don't need to walk too much and in the parts where you do it is all paved roads, so no dirt roads. There are a few places where there are some stairs but nothing too steep. Incredible views, pretty low effort = happy campers 😉
For 360 degree view of snow capped 8k altitude mountain visit Nepal Langtang
Is there other ways to go around that gap between huge rocks? I think I will get stuck there.....
Yes you can go another way.
