Chengdu is probably the most tourist-friendly Provincial capital city in China. Jiuzhaigou or Kangding are only a few hours drive from Chengdu. The ancient town of MOXI磨西, located at the foot of the 7,500-meter Minya Konka, is worth a visit. In addition to the snow-capped mountains and huge glacier landscapes, the hot springs there are also very good
I just got back from China and had the opportunity to visit Zhangjiajie. It was unbelievable. If you go during peak season in summer be prepared for long queues
Zhangjiajie is so cool, and yet I have not been there as a Chinese😢. You can also go to Huangshan (The Yellow Mountain) in southern Anhui province, where the mountains and hills are cool and exotic in a different sense!! While the ancient villages beneath Huangshan are also very pretty and distinct from the rest of rural China.
Definitely stay up on one of the hotels in Huangshan for a few nights, just for better chances to see the namesake sea of clouds near Baiyun Hotel, especially if you are able to be there at dawn when no one's there yet or dusk after the gondola closes and only hotel customers are left. The colors on those cloud seas are absolutely stunning. Easily my favourite spot up on Huangshan. Also stay up later for incredible views of the Milky Way too for astrophotographers.
First time seeing a foreigner staying in Zhangjiajie YOLO Resort and making a video about it. Never know this resort exists before. Great recommendation!
haha, I am Chinese and I love to see videos shared by foreigners about visiting China because some places I haven’t been or advance I haven’t went through. It’s very interesting to see these videos, go great and so detailed! You two are so lovely.
Wow, Joel. We just came back from Guizhou ourselves, which is pretty close to Zhangjiajie. As someone who wants to get into sharing my travels myself it's really inspiring to see you guys' travels in China. It's really impressive that you've managed to get this much done dispite not speaking the language. Respect!
this was a much nicer place to visit in the very early 2000s. it has become too touristy nowadays. I have stayed overnight here well over 100 times in the past
It’s insane to enjoy the video that Joel discovered the natural views like Huashan Mountain,Zhangjiajie in China. Hope to see more! Your video quality of natural sightseeing is higher than most other UA-camr.
Many American celebrities like China very much, such as Director Cameron, Luc Besson, Michael Jackson, etc. Several Disney bosses often traveled to China for vacations
16:17, DD is EV which does not need fuel costs, every 100 kilometers about 16 KWH of electricity consumption, about 9 Rmb, the driver can get about 50 Rmb from your 70 within not enough 1 hour, this is still profitable for him.
Wow, the Avatar Mountain View is so beautiful. Well worth it. People go with tour group for relaxation, you no longer need to figure out everything on your way. But of cause you could miss some fun of visiting places of your special interest.
Wow! didn't expect you guys really go to Zhangjiajie,I have been there years ago,and your travel route is almost the same as i did!that's so amazing!and I check your other videos in China, you guys really do the works, that's impressive, hope see more Chineses cities in your videos! And I recommend you to go to Yunnan,I just went there few days ago,Yunnan's Dali and lijiang are really beautiful! absolutely worth to travel!❤️

At the bit with the monkeys around 3:30 the woman who had her stuff grabbed initially says to stay quiet and then tells the other man who had the monkey jump at him and grab his bag "just let them take the bag and go through it, he'll give you your stuff, don't touch him (don't fight over the stuff). Put your bag on the ground“

Was just there last month. Go to Yiwu wholesale market. Biggest on earth. Building is 7km long. They sell everything on earth wholesale. There's actually good (not-chinese) food in that city, because of all the foreigners doing business there. I know you guys are sick of the food here.

The scenery of Zhangjiajie is absolutely world-class precious.
If you get good weather to be able to see. LOL.

let me guess, the movie Avatar?

Wow, that’s so cool! You guys are more pro than the local. Great video!
Ahaha I doubt it! But was a great find staying inside the park!

The ancient town is absolutely stunning. If it snows during winter and with those lights all turned on, it would be magical. Incredible

This mountainous place is really like in the film Avatar, very beautiful and amazing.
Went to Zhangjiajie during May this year, it was phenomenal, nature is just there being big and sometimes feels overwhelming, but beautiful.
seems you missed the famous sky-glass-bridge at Tianmen mountain. usually when we visit Zhangjiajie, we will spend at least 4 days.
You must have had a drone in your backpack to capture some of those videos when you climbed to the top. The views were absolutely amazing.
Never been to this place, on my bucket list now, thanks for the content 👍
I think your plan was really clever! It avoided a lot of crowd!
