When using eye wipes or baby wipes on dogs please rinse the wipes with purified water and gently clean around the eye area regarding antibiotics no matter how mild for a cosmetic reason is a terrible idea also shampoos with whitening chemicals irritate the skin I think wiping down your dog especially gentle around the eye area with a dampened paper towel preferably filtered water will suffice
We dealt with tear stains with our Boston Terrier for a couple of years and tried everything we could find with no luck. A trainer we took him to recommended we put a handful (we put 7-10) fresh blueberries in each of his feedings as she'd seen that work for a lot of pet owners. This worked like a champ. Been almost a year now and his face looks nice and clean, no rusty stains down his cheeks any longer. Try it, hope it helps you too!
@@vividbinauralbeats2254 Not very long. I don’t remember exactly but I’d say in the first two to three weeks of adding the blueberries to both of his daily meals we all of a sudden looked at him one morning and were like “whoa, his stains are way better!” We kept going with it and he’s basically stain free. The only time he has had any bad stains was when we left him at the kennel for four days earlier this summer. We took blueberries up to the kennel along with his food and asked them to put some in with each meal. Either they didn’t do that or something else going on at the kennel caused him to have pretty bad stains when we picked him up. Once he was back home and on his normal diet everything went back to looking good. We tried all kinds of stuff when he started having bad stains and none of it worked until we got the advice on blueberries. For our dog, we swear by it.
I am confused...if the breakdown within the body is normal, and not a specific deficiency, then why would we risk giving our dog antibiotics? I can't justify utilizing drugs when the issue is cosmetic. I suppose we will just celebrate my tear stained white Maltese being healthy.
For my maltese, sometimes it gets so bad that it itches his eye, making him scratch his eye constantly. So i have to take extra care of his eyes by cleaning them regulary.
my Maltese has zero stains i wipe her eye area with contact lens solution every night before bed Antibiotics will kill the gut flora .....i agree .it's horrible advice
OR ----- you could just apply a bit of hydrogen peroxide, using a cotton swab. Keep the HP away from dog's eyes. Wipe off HP (and stain) with soft cloth. If the stain persists, make a paste of baking soda + a bit of water. Apply that to the stained hair. Let it sit for about five minutes. Rinse off. Repeat, as necessary.
This woman trying to sell pills for dogs, its a simple fix....I have a maltese, clean with warm water and witch hazel, keep the hair cut around the eyes so the drain doesn't run down to the face area and stain there, apply cornstarch for babies to the hair around the eyes and face, problem fixed, key is keeping the eye area dry and clean with weekly trimming, cornstarch for babies is the healer....Thank me later😊.
My Pekingese Sushi is a year old and recently started getting that. How did UA-cam know? I had not looked up anything as I thought it was normal for her.🤔. Glad to find out about the options.
How can a Vet be ok about administering their beloved dogs with ‘antibiotics’ which is what is the tylan or tylasine in the whitening products……..that can’t be good for their health long term? 🤦🏽♀️
My pet bull just started getting those he almost 3years old I took him to the vet he said eye leashes problem and needs a surgery what should I do ??? Thanks alot please try to reply with a good advice 👍
Will option 1 & 2 work for around their mouths? My mini schnauzer has a lot of deeply rust colored hair in his white beard. It’s slowly making its way to his 2 front legs and turning them a dirty blonde from the licking he does there. Also is angels eyes equivalent to the products mentioned in your video? Thanks! 🙏🏾
We have 3 Maltese- I use Terramycin 0intment - just a tiny bead - 2x week and it works great. I use any no tears shampoo and we have no staining at all. I buy it from Chewy.
If it's natural and isn't harming the dog, then just leave it alone. Why introduce chemicals/medicine and chemical wipes and shampoos if the red stains aren't hurting the dog at all. Just leave the dog alone.
These products work great on my Maltipoo’s tear stains. However, you must also do the following: use only stainless food and water bowls, provide filtered water, eliminate chicken, beef, pork, grains, soy from the diet. I feed him lamb, or turkey with sweet potatoes diet. Finally, the eyes must be cleaned at least once a day. Stay on top of this and the Eye Envy products work really well!
Hi my baby is Lhasa Apso🐶 I see this brownish rustic stain around eyes and mouth. I am really concerned about this , is it normal or any underlying disease?
🇫🇷☕️💕I had a Lhasa Apso❤️, he is an angel 👼 now. He didn’t have the stain problem around the eyes or mouth. Now I have a shitzu🍬🍭, he has stain around the eyes . I will discuss the issue with his vet at our next appointment 😄 . I wish to find a solution 🐶
Ny white dog had perfect eyes. The only thing i did different was give my dog the flea and tick pill. I believe the chemicals in these pills is what caused my dog to get eye tears and possibly allergies. Btw my dog has been on a raw food diet from 4months old until current 3 years old. And i gave the pill for the first time and bam, eye tears. Now i am stuck on youtube trying to figure out how to get rid of it. FYI its these dog chemicals
I have never given my mult dogs flea and tick drugs. I only had fleas 1x and my mom brought it to my house. She had feral cats. I have a parrot so can't bomb house. I used table salt & diamatiious earth to get rid of them. I dont even use fles collars. If u think animal is prone to fleas, I'd use brewer yeast dog pills found at Walmart. Fleas don't like taste of their blood.
I have a shih tzu. His face gets awfully stained and crust in corners of eyes. He had a complete check up 11/2020. Can I use these vitamins or need vet approval? Will they be safe for my pet if it may be something else? How can I be sure this is what it is? Also what can I do for crust in corners of eyes? When he is groomed he looks great then it seems as if the next day he needs cleaning again. Please help. Thank you so much
yes they are just so prone too it! They also get dry eye that makes their eyes water. please go see your veterinarian and see if they can help you even more?
Thank you for all the tips now I know exactly what to do it really doesn't bother me this painting but I don't want her looking like that on these streets thank you again😉🤣

I have a 9 month old Mi-Ki who’s 4 pounds....she is brindle and white. She has some tear stains from her eyes and also she’s been licking her paws that are white and has turned them pinky/rust. Some mentioned on here that flea meds will do it. I noticed the tear stains before she was put on flea meds but the staining on her paws occurred after she was on flea meds. Could it be the flea med and if so, what do you recommend?
My Dalmatian mix got into a fight with another dog months ago (vet cleared him, and he’s fine) but there’s that one stubborn blood stain that just won’t go away near his tail. I’ve tried whitening shampoo and corn starch. Any tips?
I had a dalmatian. Is it not going away or does it come back? Is he licking himself? That could be anal glands or he's licking bc it itches around his anus. Have you looked at that spot closely? If it was a true blood stain somethingis bleeding or he's doing something to me it come back. Blood stains will wash off on a dalmatian.
For their butt you just have to have a groomer to a butt shave ! haha its a real thing and then they have to grow the hair back and you'll probably have to keep doing this.
@@nm7343 I have had her to the vet but they have never said anything about the smell just to take warm wash cloths to her eyes. Maybe I should switch vets👍
My dog had the same problem! Its YEAST! I think. I used otibiotic ointment and kept the hair very short in that area, cleaning every day and it went away almost for good. I also got some chlorihexidine wipes, just be careful around the eyes. Dont get it in there!

Is there a food you can give or not give to make it less?
So doesn’t the anabiotic that’s in the product affect the dogs got bacteria? I know all antibiotics kill the good gut bacteria.
Tylan does the trick.

The brown stain is internal. It comes from the gut, and antibiotics clean it up. It’s a gastric problem.
Augen Care Drops are great for soothing my eyes after a long day of screen time.
I play this video on regular to shut my family up about my little loki-poki's eyes (maltese)
Hahaha awweee
I wouldn't give anything internal for external eye stain thats supposedly normal.
Some people just really can’t stand it and want something that will help

My vet has no idea what Ocubright is and refuses to prescribe
How about using a warm wash cloth it’s for my Senior dog
That would work! And a flea comb is easy to use comb out the gunk!
i think cutting the hair off is not really explaining how to get rid of eye staining -
But the eye staining is going to happen anyways .. this is a way to clean it up and visually get rid of it because you really cant get rid of it.

Same!!
Since I began my dogs on homemade food, their allergies have cleared up. No more licking/no more stain. Dogs are happier and healthier than ever.
I have well water, can this cause this issue?
I don't think so because I have well water. I have one that gets the crud in his eyes and the other 2 get tear stains
