In this video I will explain my reason for needing to switch to a 3.69 differential from a welded 3.35 differential. We take apart the 3.69 oem vlsd and add shims to the point wher3 it almost stays fully locked.

the proper shims to use are Nissan 38424-40F60 btw
Appreciate you. I'll pin this.
First mod im doing🔥💪🏼
Me and all my buddies use nothing but welded vlsd on all our z and g drift cars. It is absolutely better and stronger than an open welded diff. All you do is weld the eight holes Four square and four round holes. Just fill it all up. And you'll have the strongest welded diff ever. My brother had like three open welded differentials. Each and every one of them broke after maybe about a year or less of use. The differential on my old G sedan has been running strong for over 3 years and still taking abuse like no other
This is awesome bro great job
What was the torque for the bolts you had to break loose with the breaker bar
Not sure. I just torqued them up to 70. Im sure you can find the exact spec online
Hey bro do you have a link to where I can buy those shims? I also have a 3.53 diff in my stock 3.69 car cause I didn’t want to weld it and I want to try this out 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I just threw it in the description for you🤝
@ thanks bro
I just don’t know where to get the shims from I remember luke doing a video too on this
Amazon bro, i put the link in the description. Its not the exact size of the shaft but still works good.
Do you think this would be a viable solution on the 7AT cars with a vlsd?
Yessir, should work for any nissan vlsd
