I think, rent is less than 2k if rented for the whole month and normally there is a contract for a year. You rented it for a few days so 66$/night is okay. I suppose it is not 66 x 30days. i don't think that unit gets 30 days in a month booked. You are charged 66/day coz the owners will have to clean up, change linens and do upkeep after a couple of days.

I rent for 3+ months off Lawson Ave. It's a 40 meter condo, about 2 miles from Market Market= $420 US per mth. It's a 2 bedrm, 1 bath. Walled condo complex with 24/7 security, the typical club house, large pool, tennis & basketball court. And at $1.50 cab ride or 10 peso for a Jeepney ride that only takes about 3+ minutes more to Market Market, getting around is easy, although the rush hr is a nightmare. I keep going back to that complex because it's cheap and safe.
Saving all that extra money for eating out 5 days a week between Taguig & Makati and travel makes my part time retirement in the RP a blast.

so i searched up and i read that the average cost units in bgc is 25-60k monthly (700-1200 dollars) and some 55k up units has more than 1 bedroom. there are expensive units which cost 100-500k (2,000-10,000 dollars) monthly but it's like 100-600sqm and 2-3 bedrooms.

Indeed India is a feast for the senses. I have been there twice. First time was when I visited my cousin who worked there as a project engineer, and that was in Chennai. Then second time was when I went there as a part of a missions team in Mumbai. There are not a lot of Filipinos tho, but God made a lot of us enough to put at least one or two in every place in the world you could think of :-). Food is awesome, since I am a sucker for spicy food, but just be careful about the street food tho... my food curiosity almost got me killed when I sampled some of the street food in Mumbai (I don't know which of what I ate caused it tho),

I couldn't keep up with your island hopping and food tour but enjoyed watching you guys eat, with your Making it Happen buddies. After traveling for extended periods, it is a nice treat to stay at a neighborhood like BGC and decompress with all the modern comforts and amenities. There's a few other neighborhoods or townships around Metro Manila like BGC. But BGC is top of the line. I've actually seen that same condo complex you're staying at in another vlog. A couple who had traveled and vloged their way through the Philippines last year ended up in that same complex. Small world or just very aggressive marketing? Cheers guys. Enjoy.

Try to visit Greenhills Shopping Center, Ortigas Center, Alabang Town Center in Filinvest, Eastwood City (nice to go there on friday nights to dine in or to party), and don't miss while in Manila 'LAS CASAS FILIPINAS DE ACUZAR, a village where old Philippine houses were transported and planned to recreate the feel of the Philippines during Spanish colonial time, and lastly go up a little bit in the north of Manila in VIGAN, a heritage site. :)

It was an old Fort. Fort Bonafacio. Then the land was sold to bunch of developers. They went around the world looking at best practices on how to build a community. Things like building the sidewalks before the roads, giving incentives to connect the buildings with walkways, the fact that Jeepneys are not allowed to drive in there etc. It is a bubble and not the Philippines which is exactly what non Filipinos are looking for. They branded it the Global City and so I'm guessing that's BGC - Bonafacio Global City. I believe locals call it "The Fort".
