I ❤ BGC especially the murals. I think Manila is definitely a must stop just to see the differences in areas. From slums to middle class to high class.
Whats the. Name of the condo?
what condo is this? I love in a one bedroom in BGC too but this is bigger than my place, especially the kitchen. I need to move... :(
Trina has a future in the real estate business. It seems that she is a smooth talker and she can sell properties.
Haha I told her too!
See you in the next episode! ;)
Right?😅
I think this girl can sell ice to some damn Eskimos LOL....
This was so cool! That is one beautiful apartment and I love the area! Thank you for the tour! :)
Thank you 🙏
I had a blast with your tour. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
i love your presentation skills girl!
really... cause I didn't
Thanks for the tour.. Im loving it. Ur always fun to watch Trina...
Thank you 😊
$2000 is ridiculous ... 1bedroom 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ #Robbed
US$67/night ($2K per month)...that's not bad considering the nice room and area.
?? Its a heck of alot of money for a one bedroom in the Philippines. Same amount you would pay in cities like New York. Its not a reasonable price.
Yes NY is still probably more expensive overall but it seems like Philippines is catching up in a high speed...
This apartment was rented through airbnb on a day to day basic and the price is ridicoulously high. I have seen similar 1 bedroom apartments in BGC/Makati for 800$-1000$ per month
@@garrytherat4793 so they indeed get ripped off?
Trina, you are so nice and helpful, thank you for your help
sad because you guys will leave, tbh the philippines is the only country that sparks my interest.
We can't wait to come back. Home to share some content from the rest of the world in hopes of sparking your interest too ... if possible :) New video is out now - Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
mariah is that you .....
😜
Which building were you in?
What is the size of the condo?
So cute! Born in LA and lived in NY for 7 years, so I'm such a city boy. I've been thinking about possibly living there for a lil' bit. Looks like fun!
Go for it. Me too. I'll do it in Makati though coz I am addicted to squidballs which are more accessible than in BGC.
For 2k$??? Its insane!!! I think you're being fooled by this!!
Love the intro and wow you can get a lot there!
Jen! Thanks for watching :)
awesome place there, plus the amenities.....#thumbsup great vid.
I think, rent is less than 2k if rented for the whole month and normally there is a contract for a year. You rented it for a few days so 66$/night is okay. I suppose it is not 66 x 30days. i don't think that unit gets 30 days in a month booked. You are charged 66/day coz the owners will have to clean up, change linens and do upkeep after a couple of days.
Philippines is becoming really expensive.. Even dining is expensive.. Its much cheaper dining here in Italy than dining in the Philippines ..
Btw BGC is in the city of Taguig. Not Makati.
Per the Binay's famly it belongs to them in Makati....Ahahahaha!!
@Jose Paulo Justiniano true. Officially though, it is Taguig. Business permits are issued by the City of Taguig. Plus no color-coding unlike the kingdom of Makati.
Kerwin Sy is correct....If you buy a Condo in BGC...your buying it in Taguig not Makati....just saying.
Thanks for the video. If you don't mind my asking, what kind of work do you do? Are you software engineers?

Oh you guys are adorable. I’m Filipino- American from US Cali. I’m really thinking about talking my hubby to moving to PI.
Good video about the apartments in BGC.
go to baguio guys... its just 5hrs from manila its the summer capital of the philippines
Thank you 😊
5HRS? THiNK iT iS MORE THAN 5 HRS TO BAGUiO...
no its less than 5hrs now... if you take the TPLEX
but right now, i think its a bad idea. with the typhoon going in and all lol.
crush love sky not much in Baguio though
I rent for 3+ months off Lawson Ave. It's a 40 meter condo, about 2 miles from Market Market= $420 US per mth. It's a 2 bedrm, 1 bath. Walled condo complex with 24/7 security, the typical club house, large pool, tennis & basketball court. And at $1.50 cab ride or 10 peso for a Jeepney ride that only takes about 3+ minutes more to Market Market, getting around is easy, although the rush hr is a nightmare. I keep going back to that complex because it's cheap and safe.
Saving all that extra money for eating out 5 days a week between Taguig & Makati and travel makes my part time retirement in the RP a blast.
I love the BGC area but that place isn't worth $2000 a month, come to Makati and find lower prices for sure!
Yeap!
2k is a bit rich for me, anyway.. 1k is more my cup of tea
It's so expensive rental cost for $2,000 for a month it's = 200,000pesos ,a huge sum of money you paid in that place girl.
@@hiraganderakuro2325 100k only idiot.
Philippine Cowboy: there may be lower prices in Makati, but there are also many squatters in Makati. Also, Makati does not have the lifestyle that BGC has.
I Stayed in Pacific Plaza Twin Towers in BGC for 3 months 😊 it was a 3 bedroom apartment plus a helpers room w/bathroom, 4 bathrooms, and a very spacious kitchen, a dining area and Two living rooms with the view of Manila Golf Club.
That sounds incredible! By the way, we have a new food video out! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
so i searched up and i read that the average cost units in bgc is 25-60k monthly (700-1200 dollars) and some 55k up units has more than 1 bedroom. there are expensive units which cost 100-500k (2,000-10,000 dollars) monthly but it's like 100-600sqm and 2-3 bedrooms.
Thanks for digging up that info!!
im from the Philippines and i think this is really expensive . its like you can rent 3-4 condo per month or you can already use that $2000 for a downpayment in buying a new condo .. hehe just sharing my thoughts anyways nice apartment 💕☺️
Thank you! Yes our friend was paying a lot for sure!! Thanks for watching!
Just released the new episode! Enjoy!!! ua-cam.com/video/1BiFyRZ3xcs/v-deo.html
Indeed India is a feast for the senses. I have been there twice. First time was when I visited my cousin who worked there as a project engineer, and that was in Chennai. Then second time was when I went there as a part of a missions team in Mumbai. There are not a lot of Filipinos tho, but God made a lot of us enough to put at least one or two in every place in the world you could think of :-). Food is awesome, since I am a sucker for spicy food, but just be careful about the street food tho... my food curiosity almost got me killed when I sampled some of the street food in Mumbai (I don't know which of what I ate caused it tho),
Hey Ivan! Great to hear!! Excited to share those adventures with you!! :-)
Yeah gotta be safe with anything like dairy and meat - it’s hard to keep it fresh in some street food places!
Me and the wife thinking about moving there for life
How do you think the BGC is the most city to live just asking
Only one single pool though. I love bnbs with multiple pools. Sometimes, there are too many people if there is only one pool, especially when there are kids cause they scatter around and make it impossible to swim.
I like your presentation skills ... you can just about sell anything 👍👍👍
That’s so freaking expensive. As a filipino-canadian living in metro vancouver, bc, I only pay 1200 CAD for a two bedroom apartment. That’s a hell no for me lol
$2k/mo for a small 1 bedroom is way too pricey. I can see paying $2k Manhattan, Brooklyn, Hoboken, or Jersey City where the salary is in the 6 figures.
the cost is debatable depending on who you ask.. if you're a middle income earner that earns 2500USD a month, this is really a NO. But who cares if you're earning 7000USD? Price is totally subjective... :)
scary hights love your video girl 😘
WOW!
Thanks for watching By the way, we have a new food video out! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
I spend my last vacation there what I love about the place I guys are at was I was next door to mercado every night
Sure, but it's also not easy to make that amount is money in Manila. Many people there live on only a few dollars a day.
Very true! That's clearly more for expats or wealthy people...!
don't miss the New video is out!! Enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/wpToQAsPj0E/v-deo.html
Pierre is 😎 but Trina you are AWESOME! You remind me of a Globe Trekker host.... positive, upbeat and engaging! 👍
This comment is AWESOME! Thanks so much for watching. By the way, we have a new food video out! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
Nice video Trina and Pierre
Thank you 😊
See you in the next episode!
@@PierreTL yes I'm always waiting for your next episodes
So you guys will stay there for a month?
2weeks in India! One in the Maldives! :-)
See you in the next episode!
Anyway guys, if you want some adventure near Manila you can go to Masungi Georeserve in Rizal.
It's such a very nice place.
:)
😱 2,000 in the Philippines? Thailand here I come !
Exactly! I wouldn’t dare spend 2000 a month for a small apartment in the Philippines. It would have to have two floors and chandeliers for that price!
Wowww...😱😱😱
love the video! is there a link on this condo? 66 EUR is a good deal!
Would have to dig it out!
Subbed!
Welcome Gilbert!!!
Thanks for watching! New video is out!! Enjoyyyyy ua-cam.com/video/wpToQAsPj0E/v-deo.html
when i saw 2,000: me thinking it was in pesos 😀
when i saw $: 😭😭😭😭
BAHSHSJDJSN SAME
Travel Beans is also in the city you should colab. Hehe!
Yesssss! Message them!
Hi Trina, 2,000 USD in Manila will already get you a 3 bedroom apt in BGC or even in the more expensive Rockwell area.
joselito21us I agree! For a 1 bedroom and bath for $2,000 WAS ridiculous! They’ve got taken!! This is a bad bad bad UA-cam VLOG information!
As mentioned it was an AirBnB maybe that’s why?! 😮
hmm. I guess the calculation was based on a daily rate for airbnb that's why it's way off market price.
Maybe you came up with $2000 by getting the daily rate and multiplied it by 30? $2000 seem to be beyond the ceiling for a 1BDR even though it is BGC.
1 bedroom for $2,000 yah a bit much but it’s a normal price in BGC.
Ours is bellow $1500 inclusions of : Internet, water, electricity, cable TV and daily cleaning service. Located in the heart 💓 of Manila 😊
welcome to icon plaza,.good choice!
Thanks. Is that the name? :)
Not for that price
This apartment for long term probably would be php 60k but depends on building
This is pretty decent for one person
Do visit northern philippines especially in the ilocos region
We haven't yet no. PS - We just release our last food video so feel free to check that out as well ua-cam.com/video/_8g0LOfK89E/v-deo.html Thanks for watching!
That salad looks good and just about the right serving.
selling price
What developers is that
Im so jealous with you guys, it's a long time since I've been in the Philippines, but BGC (never been there)...
It was our first time there as well. Thanks for watching! By the way, we have a new food video out! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
I'll follow your vlog in India 🇮🇳. I find it intriguing.
Thank you Jay!! Starting sooooon!! So excited!! :-)
See you in the next episode!
Why pay $2000 a month rent on a condo when you can use that money to pay mortgage for a modern house and lot in an exclusive subdivision with 5 bedrooms and a pool also in manila
I couldn't keep up with your island hopping and food tour but enjoyed watching you guys eat, with your Making it Happen buddies. After traveling for extended periods, it is a nice treat to stay at a neighborhood like BGC and decompress with all the modern comforts and amenities. There's a few other neighborhoods or townships around Metro Manila like BGC. But BGC is top of the line. I've actually seen that same condo complex you're staying at in another vlog. A couple who had traveled and vloged their way through the Philippines last year ended up in that same complex. Small world or just very aggressive marketing? Cheers guys. Enjoy.
Thanks Alex!! Oh really? We never talked to the condo company- our friend was living there that’s why - we stayed in the awesome hotel called U-hotel in Makati! Super friendly and modern - cheaper too :)
See you in the next episode!
Try to visit Greenhills Shopping Center, Ortigas Center, Alabang Town Center in Filinvest, Eastwood City (nice to go there on friday nights to dine in or to party), and don't miss while in Manila 'LAS CASAS FILIPINAS DE ACUZAR, a village where old Philippine houses were transported and planned to recreate the feel of the Philippines during Spanish colonial time, and lastly go up a little bit in the north of Manila in VIGAN, a heritage site. :)
Thank you for the tips!!!
I have been to india several times since 2013 for a business trip. Visited Chenai, Jaipur and Delhi
Amazing! Did you enjoy?
PS: New video is live! ua-cam.com/video/ZGGlJNSTWCo/v-deo.html Enjoy :)
That flat is 1000usd tops , in Bangkok, Taipei , Kuala Lumpur , even Jakarta, wayyy overprice .
What a nice place!!! You booked a great one, it’s expensive though. Hahaha. Btw, i find this vid cheesy. Idk why. Maybe because of the “handsome” part lol. Love you both 💕
Haha thank you! That wasn’t our place though! Our friend was living there! :)
See you in the next episode!
Yes I enjoy My stay at one serendra !
Thanks for watching. By the way, we have a new food video out! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
It's other way around. Lots of Indian living in the Philippines
Really?
Yes
Yep, especially in Mindanao and Some parts of Southern Visayas where people have partial hindu arab blood. Also, a well known ruler of Cebu is called Raja Humabon who is probably indian since he has the Title "Raja".
OMG!!! A $2000 a month rent can get you a whole house on an exclusive village! That's a total rip off!!! So sad for you guys! 😞😞😞😞😞😞
No worries. WE didn't pay. Our friend is working there and her company pays. By the way, we have a new food video out! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
$2000 is more expenisve then some New York apts. crazy!
Is this at One Maridien? :)
Not sure it was our friend’s place!
Just released the new episode! Enjoy!!! ua-cam.com/video/1BiFyRZ3xcs/v-deo.html
wait pesos or dollars? $2000 seems like an awful lot. and I've visited the PI quite a few times
Art Garcia IT IS A JOKE! The Philippines is not like MANHATTAN or the ENTIRE NYC. The Philippines can’t even keep up with their electricity...it is unreliable. They can’t even place a proper AC without cutting a hole on a wall.
It’s super expensive!! :-/
@@vicki-870 ...ph cant keep up with electricity??? lol youre very ignorant...i live here and didnt experienced black out whatsoever..ph has one of the highest electricity rate in asia..BGC is not for backpackers..its a very sophisticated place for expats/ tourists who can afford luxury..hence the high cost of living there..BGC is better planned & sophisticated than manhattan or new york as a whole to begin with
Trina is so pretty. Love you, Trina.
:)
First time seeing this channel/video. At first I thought she was in real estate trying to sell that place/area on prospective customers.
Not bad!
(Place is kinda too pricey IMO though).
Hey Manny! Welcome!! Haha Trina speaks so well people think that sometimes lol! Yeap too $$ for this place I agree... it's almost as much as NYC...
Welcome to the adventure!!
Sorry. Scared of heights. Gonna have to pass on this chief
BGC is one of the most expensive place in Metro Manila. Its safer and lots of resto and shopping malls👏Forbes Park is the most expensive residential place near BGC. Manny Pacquiao has a home there and most of the very rich and foreign ambassadors home.
Yeap!
See you in the next episode!
Passing this much would only make sense of you are making at least $7k a month.
So u gotta be a CEO, or some top ENGINEER
Very nice condo👍🏾but very expensive I wil prefer SMDC Jazz makati also very nice there 😄
Hehe 🙃
0 street crime there 👌 great vlog!
Visit McKinley Hill, a Venice type mall.
Oh cool! Thanks
See you in the next episode!
Im working in BGC for 10 years now. I saw how the place transform from just a bare land to a modern CBD.
Usd 2,000 a month for a 1 bedroom condo? That's way too overpriced!
Right?! Too $$$!!
See you in the next episode!
that is happening in ever big city in Asia . Prices will collapse sooner rather than later ., you can live in south of spain for that money food drinks and rent .
This is perfect if your a couple. You are paying for the location which is fine
i like the area but i don't like the price... it's too expensive
Agreed!!
for 2k you can get that %95 of the world.. %80 will be better apartments..
Its the location location location
USD2K? u can find cheaper way cheaper than that. Look for condotel, it's much cheaper.
Yeap too $$!!! Thanks for the tip!
very modern city of Manila
Super modern indeed! By the way, we have a new food video out! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
To be honest , I think the rent is too much especially for 2 bedrooms
3500 a month in Seattle
Greenbelt Residences is way way way more expensive. lol. it is $5000 per month, it has 2 large bedrooms and a large living room and kitchen
WOW - that's very expensive. By the way, new video is out! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
Trina has some proper tv show hosting skills.
What! Such a nice compliment - thanks for watching. By the way, we have a new food video out! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
I wouldn't say it's the same standard as Miami. You can drink the tap water in your Miami apartment and at the end of the day, you're in Miami.
True :)
ps: New video is out!! Enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/wpToQAsPj0E/v-deo.html
Makati better amenities and you can find lower prices.
Each to their own.
Enjoy your stay ☺
Thanks for watching! By the way, we have a new food video out! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
BGC has better amenities and it is more modern than Makati.
That's seattle pricing... Would not expect that in the Philippines
You're actually in Taguig City ... not Makati
Not BGC? :)
BGC is a business district that is inside Taguig city.
It was an old Fort. Fort Bonafacio. Then the land was sold to bunch of developers. They went around the world looking at best practices on how to build a community. Things like building the sidewalks before the roads, giving incentives to connect the buildings with walkways, the fact that Jeepneys are not allowed to drive in there etc. It is a bubble and not the Philippines which is exactly what non Filipinos are looking for. They branded it the Global City and so I'm guessing that's BGC - Bonafacio Global City. I believe locals call it "The Fort".
Much like the pool in Singapore, Marina bay hotel
Yes! By the way, we have a new food video out! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
Lol, far from it
that kitchen and one bedroom apt is not worth that much? $500 and its a done deal...
$2000 is even expensive for Paris so we were really surprised however we are sure there is a markup for Airbnb. By the way, we have a new food video out! Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-J13j8oyfmY/v-deo.html 😁
Ruben Kelly not @ BGC. $1000/month is ok.
Salad is oozing delicious
So glad you like salad too!!
Team TP thanks for the tour in bgc only rich people can afford bgc :)
Thank you! Yeap...
Not my taste for $2,000 a month. I can get an apartment in Manhattan for $2,000 a month, and its in the New York.
there's no apartment for rent in the philippines that costs $2,000 a month. that would only be $600-800 monthly. they just multiplied a 1 day rent to 30 days. i think they found it on airbnb.
yensha may: apparently you’ve never been to BGC. I have a few units there and one of my units the rent is going for 150,000 pesos per month.
guys that is really over priced.....but anyway thanks for sharing again....those "smiles"...,wish u could visit my home city Baguio for a different vibe...but now its rainy season..
Thank you! Yeap overpriced...
Are you sure 100k plus???????? Just wow.
$$$$ 🤭
