We used one of these to live stream to UA-cam direct from camera, brilliant bit of kit.
Do you lose video quality when you zoom in ?

I’ve been super impressed with Hikvision’ fixed lens 2.8mm ColorVue Turret. The picture quality at night is leaps and bounds better than the dark fighter variants.

Could you explain. So is varifocal same as motorized lens? Because on the dome camera you showed us manual adjustment however on the bullet you could zoom on the software itself?
So are varifocal bullet cameras motorized- operated remotely and varifocal dome cameras adjusted only manually? Thanks
Vari-focal and motorized zoom are in essence the same thing, its just different way of saying it , most of HIK Vari-focal cameras now are motorised meaning it can be adjusted remotely at the DVR . NVR , APP , etc. some models are still manual vari-focal but these are in the HD analogue sector and older models , most are now driven by the motor making setup and adjustment very easy and convenient 😊
@@DVSLTD can I ask varifocal in recording ? Or both records and live
@@mansoura3124 the varifocal element will only work on the live image , but on playback you have the digital zoom function if needed
Is it a Motorised camera
Shame you lose the light and sound trigger on the Hik-Connect app when the camera is connected to a NVR. Unless I’m going something wrong. 😆 (wouldn’t be the first)

I think this guy might be refering to a 4k vari focal colorvu, any idea if this will be available
