@Daitech, great presentation 👏. Love your comments on the lenses protection packaging film, which is supposed to be removed after installing, but before they come into service. We had problems with our professional cameras about a year after they were installed, and the view from each separate camera mysteriously became blurred (fogged) after a particular freezing cold night. The security engineer called out, only to find the plastic film was still on each camera. Yes, installers need to remember to remove this film once the cameras are fitted into service. Also, manufacturers could help by placing motifs on this film to remind the installers to remove this protection cover from the lenses before the cameras come into service. A two prong approach to ensure this protection film is removed once cameras are fitted saves multiple customer instigated call outs.

Hello. I have been waiting for a solution for my home replacing the old Varifocal HIK Cams and NVR. I love the form factor of these new cameras. Hi, can you do a video with best settings for hikvision camera, so there is no flickering but running full HD smooth?
Would you be able to suggest the best way to use this camera as a time-lapse, triggering twice a day and recording to SD?
Hi Thanks for the information. I have 2 these cameras but the white light doesn't work at night though I have set the sensitivity to 7 and I can't see the supplement light icon for the cameras on the mobile app. I have other colorVu 4K cameras that are working OK.

What is the recommended mounting height on those? I can't find it anywhere.
Does anyone know if these panoramic cameras will work with Avigilon 7? It's not on their supported cameras list, but neither are their other cameras that work fine with ONVIF.
Can you tell me what nvr series the turret camera works on as at he moment I have the exact nvr that you mention it does not work on. Any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks for the Video! According to the Datasheet the SD Card Slot supports up to 256 GB Card, not 128 ;)

Very informative video, thank you! From what I understand, this camera is fully functional with just POE? Or do you need the 12 V power to it as well? Asking because I want to get some of these, but only have a cat 5E cable at each camera location
Hello Daniel. You do not need a separate power source. if power is from NVR POE output to camera or power is injected into a POE switch.
Will it work with Dahua NVR?
Can this camera be connected with other brands NVR, such as the Dahua brand?
I just got the K1 8 channel and got 1 of the 180 bullet camera.. are you saying this camera will not work on a k1 system? As I am having trouble to get it to work on it.

Considering buying 3 of these after seeing one in operation but have reservations. The panoramic view covering 180 degrees is superb but detailed facial recognition is pixilated compared to a single lens hikvision 8mp colorvu which was operating alongside. Comments on the Internet suggest that the panoramic has two 4mp lenses to make a total of 8mp over the wider picture. The lenses in the panoramic also have the same specifications as 4mp colorvu single lens cameras and not the 8mp versions. Please can you comment on this matter as the cameras will be required for panoramic and facial detail uses? Thanks.
With regard to my previous comments, reference to lens is incorrect, I mean image processor.
Hi and thanks for the comment, as you said there 8MP over 2 x 4MP images that are stiched together , the actual image is slightly different resolution compared to standard 8MP as its larger , but as you cover 180 degress the image coverage will be spread over 180 instead of say 110 using the same dedicated 8MP . so In essence it may appear less detail when directly comparing the images

Fitted this to a 96128 I8 but I don't get any image. Everything seems to be fine but just a black screen. Even in playback it's just a black screen. Works fine on the webpage. When adding, it gets IP. The blue play icon comes up. Very strange. Never seen this issue before. Any ideas?

Can you get and receive audio over the network cable without connecting the separate audio line? how much light is needed for ColorVu?
yes it’s done over the same IP connection so that is fine, no separate cabling required, regards light none in essence as it will be the action of the white light when it drops to low
Hi I bought 2 of these cameras last year along with a DS- 2cd2387G2/LSU/SL. I also bought a Hikvision DS- 7608NI-K2/8p NVR as when watching your video I thought you said we need a k2 as the k1 won't work but I now see its a different series you nentioned.
I had a heart attack sepsis kidney failure and high blood sugars and was seriously ill so haven't fitted the cameras as of yet. I have just had a defibrillator and a pacemaker fitted as I now have severe heart failure and maybe put on the heart transplant list anytime. I am only 52.
I am not able to get out to visit so I would really appreciate it if you could advise if this DS- 7608NI-K2/8p NVR will work with these panoramic cameras and the bullet camera above and what hikvision PTZ cameras with tracking are available to go with these panoramic cameras and suitable nvr.. I have been targeted while in and out of hospital with burglaries vandalism car damage and even garden tools and bushes taken from my garden and I just what to get these cameras up to stop it all. Thanks for your help

My DS-7216HUHI-K2 (DVR) doesn't seem to like the image format either.
It connects to it and all the settings are available.. but the image just remains blank and I have to view it thru the app.
Would you please recommend a DVR that works with these panoramic IP cams?
What does the Smart Supplemental light do? I can’t figure it out, seems to work the same regardless.
it adjusts the brightness of the white light when an object is closer to lessen the glare , same with IR versions

Does anyone know if it's possible to configure this camera in the DVR to display across the space of 2 cameras?
I.e. after adding it to the NVR, viewing the camera live, it squashes the image into the same space as a regular camera.
on the NVR ( what model have you got ) its actually not bad at all , but on the GUI 4 interface you can set the custom live view and merge 2 squares into 1 😊

Diatech, I am just quoting a job and was going to put 2 turret cameras next to each looking in opposite directions down an alleyway. Do you think this Panoramic turret would be good for an alleyway? It will be mounted in the centre of the corridor.
it would give great cover but as there 180 degree you would have a lot of wall , or building etc in the view but would cover everything in reality

Why would they not design the mounting plate so that you can turn the camera left to right to make small adjustments? Seems crazy not to provide that feature.

Does this come with a PoE switch? Or do you need an NVR/PoE switch?
It doesn't come with a Poe switch.
This maybe a stupid question??? I’m interested in the turret model and would be connecting it to an I series NVR, but interested to know how it looks connected to a local monitor? Is the image squashed? Say If I’m viewing my cameras in a 2x2 live view on a local monitor im guessing the image would be squashed and not look right?

Actually just thinking about it, its possible to make custom layouts on the NVR so i could have a 3 screen layout . the bottom image could be 2 combined for the panoview? Would that work? Thanks

what is the maximum height and angle to still achieve a full view?
Height will depend on what view you are trying to see / cover and in how much detail, also is it observation or detail ? hard to be accurate , mine is fitted at 3mtrs and works very well at an angle of around 30 degree

Based on your video I just cancelled my order for the turret version. Can you please explain why the turret version can not be wall mounted? It looks like there is almost 180 degrees of swivel movement. If it can be wall mounted without a separate ceiling bracket I will reorder. I do not want the bullet version, it's too big.
, you can wall mount the product as long as the area of coverage you need is looking away from the camera if that makes sense , so out from the wall will be fine, for install where the camera needs to be wall mounted and turned around to cover a different area then by default its not possible , so you could just mount the camera on the wall to cover that area which may mean just selecting a new installation position , if that makes sense?
@@DVSLTD Thank you for the reply, I think I understand. In other words what you are saying is that the camera can not be rotated left or right to cover the area needed? That would be fine in my situation. I want to replace a first-gen ColorVu that is mounted in the same place and it is more or less perpendicular to the wall, so that should not be a problem.
One last thing that just occurred to me, could you please post a video, even a really short one with the screen view from the NVR? I'm afraid that the image will be drastically compressed horizontally on the monitor in a 4:3 aspic ratio screen window. It's a shame you can't split the view horizontally between two adjacent windows, it would look so much more natural.

@@DVSLTD Is there anyway to record _--_*_only_* AI events to the SD card? I have tried every combination on the camera and it records AI events *_and_* motion but not just AI events so in my case I use up a ton of SD space recording motion that I don't need and don't want to hunt through. I can search and view just the AI events on the NVR so I can't understand why I can't record just the AI (people/car) events to the SD card without also recording trees waving around.

A live view can be viewed in the DS-1600KI screen , but no PTZ control

That is fine on the bullet camera , I mounted the bullet camera on the wall
Question: If this is an IP POE camera why would it have an power connector?
So you can power the camera without using POE.
Which NVR works with those and which not?
Hi , it will work on the 8ch K2 and above like the I series and IDS Series
M series NVR also works with these cams :)
I love these ultra low light cameras but why are they so big? I guess F1.0 aperture sensor requires a big circuit board? Too big and too bulky to put in front of my house although I really like the color night performance.
Yes the performance is awesome and yes the F1.0 requires more space, its also 2 sensors as its 180 so again more space needed,
@@DVSLTD It looks to me like it can only detect human and car, not pet like dog. Right? I have to deal with neighbor dogs that make masses on my front lawn.

Hikvision support is horrible and they no longer support mac with their software (no playback). Windows only.
Clumsy person on video. He took off the protective film, which must be removed at the end of the installation of the camera, and began to stain the protective glasses of the cameras with his fingers.
