One thing I've never understood, is why the Cleveland "Indians" was so repulsive that they were practically forced to change the team name, but no one makes a fuss over the Atlanta "Braves"?
Or the Cincinnati "Reds," for that matter. That's not technically their name, as it's an abbreviation of "Redlegs," but "Reds" is definitely a slang term for Natives that I've heard before.
It was NY Highlanders then Yankees. Ove player who played for the Original Baltimore Orioles and Highlanders was Wee Willie Keeler, who is identified as a Yankee although he never played for the Yankees.
Oakland's logo 1968 to 1982 is the all time best logo. White shoes and the swingin A's. I had the pennant decades ago. Do the Padres and the Pirates next!
That "New Orleans Saints" logo is called a Fleur-de-Lis! It's pretty much the symbol of anything to do with French heritage, of which New Orleans and St. Louis have plenty.
Fast fact: the Chicago Bears are named after the Cubs. They played in Wrigley Field for awhile and named themselves after their hosts but ,because they figured football players are bigger than baseball players, they went with Bears over Cubs.
The "invisible letter" Yankees logos look like that because thats how they appeared on the uniforms. One on the right breast and one on the left breast.
That’s because the Brownies were in St. Louis. In fact the Cardinals were there second and rented the stadium to use from the Browns…but the Orioles did not carry the team history with them from St Louis whenever the team relocated to Baltimore. Kinda sucks.
Did you just discover the word demented? Also do you not know what the Old English font is? The Detroit logo and a lot of these you called “ancient languages”. It’s a basic ass font.
Need a part 2 of this video.
Definitely do a part 2, 3, 4 and 5. Lots of interesting logos in the NHL over the years
“A demented Sun Chip”
You’re from Waco, too?
@@forrestcommander6283 yeah it’s so great…
Its the state of Massachusetts
@@christopherdonahue1066 no it’s in Texas
I can’t believe Ted Williams had to play under that attrocity of a logo
In 1901 they were the Baltimore Orioles. 1903-1915. New York Highlanders.
You should do another one of these. More MLB teams, maybe other leagues too
Bring back Chief Wahoo
Absolutely
Facts... we want Chief Wahoo.

@@therocknrollmillennial535I always took the “Reds” just as a colour like orange.
1901 Yankees… “O” for Baltimore Orioles, no?
That is correct

I have it right now along with a number of 72 73 74 championship pennants

8:03 😂😂🤣 he said rabies😂😂
Every time I see the Rockies logo I see a “GR” instead of a “CR”
This video was great. A lot of fun
11:20 I vote Brooklyn for the Dodgers and NY Jets
I just now realized that the Cubs logo is horrendous lol. I needed perspective from looking at all the other logos first.

The tigers changed to the current “D” logo to match the one that has been on their hats for decades
The Yankees were the original Baltimore Orioles. Please research before you comment.
Why does the boston red sox lego in the 50s Kind of look like david ortiz's stance alittle bit
Ya they had the yankees logos backwards
I'd love it if the Las Vegas A's could incorporate the elephant into their logo again
"Oh my God! The kid just created a new logo "
deranged spiderweb, demented dragonfly, rabies-infested bear... 😂😂 this guy is lowkey funny asl 💀

@Eragor the Kindhearted "Brown Stockings", eh? I did not know that! I always thought Browns was lame (both in Baseball and Football)...
DG almost broke a few times during this video loool
All the teams had good logos in the early 1990s.
I actually think they should have more circle logos.
balimore oricles 😁😁

Someone please introduce this man to Gothic Font >
2004-11 Toronto looks like the Creighton logo
part two?
I think it’s lame how recently lots of teams have gotten rid of their logo and mostly just use a cap logo. Oversimplified logos I guess?
😊
Jay Leno was on the Red Sox in 1950?
good one!
The old Rockies logo was way better.
Sorry Toronto needs to bring back their 2001 💪 🐦.
That looks more like a minor league logo.
Good video... but cannot agree with you on the current Orioles logo. Looks like a kids cartoon show or something
I don't like it either. It's very cartoonish.
