Little fun fact about the Blue/White/Orange colors of NYC. It is the color of the flag of the city which is a redesign of the Dutch (Netherlands) flag of the 1600s when New Amsterdam (New York City) was settled. So in a way, all NYC teams that use the Blue/Orange/White scheme are all in homage to the Netherlands.
54:03 These two are wearing the logos of Minnesota's minor league teams the Minneapolis Millers and the St. Paul Saints and are essentially uniting the rival fan bases. This is also why the Twins chose a "TC" cap because they didn't want to alienate the Saints fans by wearing an "M" cap which could be misconstrued to mean Minneapolis.

"Old English" for the most part is a misnomer. This style font is in the Blackletter category, a style created with a wide, flat nib pen. It includes a lot of Germanic fonts of that era. I was happy to see the Tigers settle on one style of D. Prior, one was more Germanic, the other more English. Later, I could explain why "Ye Olde Shoppe" is pronouced "The Old Shop". But that seems better suited for another day . . . But, if you are curious, look up the word 'ligature'.

It won't be long before some pressure group tries to bring the name back. Don't mind the Guardians name (more car references FTW), but Indians is too classic to erase forever.

The Cardinals logo came about in 1922 when the Cardinals owner was attending an event in Ferguson, Missouri. Up until this point Cardinals were seen as a team named for their uniform color, not the bird. At the event the hall was decorated with clothesline string and on the strings they had put Cardinal birds perched up on em. The owner loved this, and had one of the organizers (an artist) create a logo of cardinals perched on a bat. Through this we got the iconic birds on the bat slapped right along the chest. Wait, as a Baseball nut and New Yorker I must say sir it's an inter-locking NY not NW. I thank you sir for an ' video! ⚾⚾
Thanks for watching! And yeah somehow that slip made it all the way lol
They missed a logo for the Twins. They won their two World Series in 1987 and 1991 with an m logo on their caps.
Can't mess with the Brewers glove logo
Great logo!
50:05 at one point, these designs were used by a professional mlb team. That feels so wrong dude
I know! It took me way too long to nail down that there were two designs 😂
That original Diamondbacks color scheme was way better than the red they have now.
I miss the purple and teal! 🥲
I feel like Purple, Teal, and that Sand Color would go so hard. The copper looked kinda muddy
Wish the Braves still had the 1912 or 1915 logo. I love those
Thanks for watching!
Missed the ”M” logo on the the Milwaukee Braves.
Say what you want, but the New York teams did it best. Both the Mets' and the Yankees' logos are on point.
It must've been very difficult to talk for and hour and a half. The MLB teams had too many logos that some of them were only used for a short amount of time.
Haha yeah it was about 4.5 hours recording the audio! Usually takes 2-3 times as long as the video and your voice definitely starts to go at some point!
Most Clevelanders will say chief wahoo not the C is and was the logo of Cleveland baseball.
The Royals also had a black and blue KC logo and baseball logo.
Harmon Killebrew
You should do a video on uniforms
I’ve thought about it… might be a ten hour video lol 😂
I grew up believing that the logo represents both a right and left handed batter....look at it. I also was told it is wes parker of the dodgers. I will go with the first one. Cheers
Definitely can see the left/right of it!
come on even a Red Sox fan would have to admit the Yankees have the coolest logo designs with the interlocking N Y and the Top Hat logo
Whoever Detroit hired to draw tigers was on some good stuff.
It’s me I’m the mlb logo guy
Hey! There you are! 😂
Do the NHL next
Working on it! Thanks for watching!
It irritates me that the Chicago WHITE Sox have RED letters making it look like RED SOX! GRRR. Superb video!
Thanks for watching!
most of the MLB teams have updated their primary logos and secondary logos like the Texas Rangers
