Trains at Wilmslow, WCML - 29/2/20

- Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Wilmslow located on the West Coast Main Line where services are seen by Avanti West Coast, Northern and Transport for Wales.
Wilmslow was a great station. I feel that this station has improved in terms of frequency with the 331s now in service. The views at this station are decent and the frequency is quite good so a lot turns up and you're not bored. This station hasn't really changed over the years, a lot is the same which I do like, it's one of the only stations I've seen in a while where the trains have not really been any different. I really enjoyed my visit to Wilmslow, highly recommended station.

Brilliant video Kieran. I was on the 175 as it was making its way to Manchester, but I didn't spot you on the platforms as I was focusing on other things. Not sure about the question of the video though, Northern stations aren't my expertise.
5:42 I think you can tell from a distance. I believe the refurbished 323s have yellow running light housings like 319s while the unrefurbished sets have those in black which looks like a panda.
Awesome Footage Bud :) Love the acceleration sound of my lovely 323's and regarding WMT's 323's I've heard either 17 or all 26 will be moving to Northern.

The Alderley Edge-Southport was supposed to be a 769 diagram, but since they’re not in service yet they have to use diesels for the whole service.
Is that so? I didn't know Northern were getting them...

South Western Railway has no more Phil and Celia announcements.
