They will become friends. The kitten exposed his belly stretching in front of the dog. A sign of trust. They are both curious about each other but are giving each other space.

Bailey is such a good dog,Simon is a very trusting kitten, watching him roll over on his back- a sign of security and well being- while bailey was that close, he already knew that bailey wasn't going to harm him at all, he actually falls asleep . , so funny to watch bailey, he wants to play with Simon so badly but he doesn't want to get in trouble., so cute
Everyone’s talking about Bailey, but that kitty is a sweetie. It has a great disposition... not taking anything away from Bailey.
That kitty hasn't experienced the constant exposure to all matters of animals as Bailey. So as sweet as she is, it's apples to oranges
latymz that makes it more impressive, since bailey has much more exposure, and dogs are way calmer in nature (used to calm cheetahs and other animals, even humans) meanwhile cats are notoriously skittish and tend to be prone to anxiety, so its pretty impressive this kitten was so open, but dogs are calm and playful so its not that rare for this to happen.

The dog now's he has to approach her quietly and slowly...Even though he's super excited, he's taking care not to scare her. Look at the way he's gradually inching close to her. The kitten is royalty all the way!

We had a Birman cat and a cavalier king Charles spaniel who adored each other, it was so amazing to see them together. Our cat was devastated when our dog died.

I love that Bailey has the kitten now, with whom he'll soon be able to play, I'm sure. But I can't help it: I keep hoping that some day you may get a (Golden retriever?) pup/dog, so Bailey can understand the other animal better. Bailey will be able to interact with another dog the best, they know the 'dog' language and manners. And he can play rough with a dog, a cat is so small. You can always kind of see the frustration in Bailey for not being able to understand/fully play with the rabbits/bird and now cat.. But nevertheless: so happy for Bailey that he has this new 'brother'. 😊🐕🐈

I had a dog bigger than bailey and he would just lay on the floor and my cat would be the one using him as a toy trying to catch his wagging tail.. he never barked at her or anything.. 🤷🏼♀️

Like a well regulated golden retriever, Bailey has very good levels of respect for boundaries. Golden's are so sweet and even tempered. He's so good at being patient and not moving too fast. He's willing to do it all on the kitten's time. Cats and dogs are so well suited as companion animals. I'm a strong believer in always having two dogs. Usually, if you can have one, you can have two. They do so much better in pairs, being the pack animals that they are. But kitties make very good friends to doggos in the event you can only have one. Of course, kitties are great no matter how many dogs you have. I've always been really glad I had both! Our cat acts very much like a dog who's trapped inside a cat's body. He's like the smallest, third pack member.

Bailey covering his eyes with his paw and being silly trying to get her attention and to play is the sweeeeeeetest most precious thing I've ever seen 😭😍 what an angel! 😇💕 And kitty is just a darling little doll such a precious wee Baba! She was so calm and sweet in his presence even when he barked which must be quite scary for a little kitten the first time! She was so sleepy and just wanted to curl up to him I think awwww😌😍😍😍😍😍💕💕💕💕

In December I brought home a feral kitten who had never seen a dog in her life. She was terrified out of her mind at first but 2 GSDs, 1 Pointer, 1 "limited edition" & 1 Jack Russel X later, all is good. She is the baby of the dog family & they all bicker over who gets to cuddle her.
Muuuuch better than the tot al denial of the kittens presence in the beginning 😆💜

I cant stop watching this. I had a Golden named Winston. He was literally my best friend. I look at bailey and its like looking at Winston, Acts exactly the same and loved other animals as well. You guys are great with him.
And that kitten has grown up fearless, and holds his own against 3 dogs.
