My grandmother told me that my parents expected that kind of behaviour from me when my baby sister was born. Now that I see how cute this behaviour looks, I kinda wish I had. My only reaction was asking if I was ever that tiny. You can be certain there is more to this story, but I know I never barked and I never once sniffed the couch cushions.

What good owners you are...taking it slow and setting such a kind and patient tone as he figures out what to make of this new addition. And what a good dog he is! Don't worry, they'll bond in their own time. I have a cat and a greyhound who were unsure about each other at first. Now they are inseparable. They curl up with each other on cold nights and share their body warmth. The dog will even let the cat share food out of his bowl while he is eating! It's so fantastic watching them become best friends.

That's why my 14years old cat is at present laying snuggled up to me putting while I with no restraint in place am cutting the fur around his paw pads ready to clean them out apply cream and a dressing before putting a pet sock on his front page as I treat an allergic reaction that basically has no cure apart from keeping dry and dressing. He is solo vicious he up a licking my hand and putting as I clean the area with antiseptic liquid that I know stings. When I finish he will snuggle down on my lap till bedtime when he will search out full length beside my husband like a big teddy bear for hours
