Friend told me a story about some old dynamite found at a mine when they were teens. They tried shooting at a few sticks with .22s (I know, but wait). Well nothing happened. It was really old dynamite. They figured it was junk. Then they shot the wooden box it came in. They heard that bang in town. Everyone lived to tell the tale. Bad idea but I thought it was a good story. With an important lesson. Nitro leeches out of old dynamite into whatever it was sitting on.

Finally I got a green scoop. Had to wait for 3 weeks because the store had only black. Now I have the same as you .... But wait, NO.... Now you have a blue scoop. Life is hard.
    A great video again, Jeff.

That is so funny! I had to get a green scoop too. It does work better I think. :) We have found A LOT of .22 shells with our old garage sale metal detector find. I know we'll find a nugget someday using the green scoop. Have fun!

It does work better I know :) My kids have their black scoops. They find nothing. (And green is better for the environment .. haha.)
I have ordered a Gold Bug 2, for my family trip to Sweden and gold hunting here in Norway. But Jeff will now use another metal detector ... I think :)

Scott LEGO Fowler... I hear you loud and clear for pretty much since September 14th 2012 I lay in this bed day in and day out watching these videos into the wee hours of the morning to the point to where I'm so tired I go to sleep in spite of the never pain I live with, in my lower back hips and legs. Thanks to someone messing with their cell phone while driving. They pulled right out in front of my motorcycle and I T-Boned the side of their pick-up truck going about 40-45MPH on a county road.
The left side of my body was broken. My left leg was mangled my left hand, hip, femur, and foot were broke.
They barely managed to save my leg. Ever since I woke up out of a 27 day coma I've live with massive nerve damage pain... I'm still trying to learn to walk without falling over... So now I lay here watching others do what I use to do.. Due to not getting much of a settlement, I've been paying massive medical bills... There's quite a few people I wish I could sponsor out here. I can't so I pray for them for God to bless them in ways I can't... Be blessed...BBE..

Last year I learned of a place in N. London where gold sluicing had taken place, and one in Glasgow. I was shown a Full Drop Riffle Tray which suggests there's still a LOT of gold to find. Acquiring Past Life Recall in 2018 was wierd. I stood in a place on Steetview in NW Glasgow, pointed in a direction and thought "Gold, over there, a Wall of Gold". The place is the site of a pre 1900 head-on? steam train crash. One train ploughed through a school I believe. Finding old steam train routes and their crossovers & junctions (most likely crash sites) would be a good policy for metal detector searching for refined gold bars.

Jeff, you need a helmet mount that mounts off to the side of your face. That way you have freedom of both hands and we still see what you see. Side mount will give you the freedom of still having your lamp and not an obstruction on top of your head to get knocked around. As far as not wanting to show us certain things that where editing comes in. Just my two nuggets worth!
Edit: I think you could squeeze a GoPro Hero under your lamp as well.

Another great episode in the series that is the Slim's Picken's drift mine..... Keep them coming mate. As soon as I get myself sorted here I'll be becoming a Patreon, not for the fabulous give away's, well yes I guess if I get drawn, but cause I want to see you dig and dig a great shaft, following that shiney till you hit this great big vein of quartz that contains the source and MOTHER LODE of all you've found so far.... ( one can dream can't we lol ) Keep them thar great video coming my friend, don't sweat to much if they're feature length ( the longer the better lol ). I like the look of the Nokta, secretly in a comparison chart, which is better.. ( taking into consideration you've been on the Fisher for like forever ) it would be interesting to see a back to back showdown. I have the original Gold Bug M-Scope and she's getting a bit long in the tooth and harder and harder to tune. I've found service people here, but was told that cause of it's age parts may be hard to find and depending on what it needs it may be cheaper to purchase a new one. So I's need to looks for a replacement. Pass on my warmest and a big YeeeHarrr to Nevada Jack, the lovely lil lady Silver Spurs Lila and of course to Slim.
P.S. I know you is real busy with the Drift mine and your tours, but d'ya recon that yourself and Nevada will bring out another episode of Lost treasure stories.. Take it easy and stay safe ol' friend....

Jeff Williams it just occoured to me you live in a desert! Have you ever tried metal detecting for meteorites? Meteorites can be worth up to around 1000 dollars a gram. And you don't even need a metal detector at all to find them once you get better at it. Meteorites are rarer than gold, platnum, diamonds and emeralds!

Wonder if it would be possible to have a small paint nozzle that is in the center of the coil head on the detector, that is activated when you pull a trigger and will automatically disperse a small amount of high visibility paint when the coil registers the strongest target hit.
