Great preview review. I usually fly airliners in the sim but I recently started IRL flight lessons and general aviation is now more of an interest to me. This looks like a great one to pick up, especially for twin engine training. Thank you for your preview!
Enjoy it! I'm deeply impressed by it, it's great seeing the simulation on the tablet too - helps me understand what's happening in and around the aircraft as I learn it!
Already looking forward to Both the Piston And The Turbine But I Love my piston pushing Engines. And the level of detail and inmersion it has is amazing A2A Level of Fidelity. Nicely Done on the Preview!
The comanche is great for a SE piston, but I think the duke is going to be the best aircraft of the year for most people. At the end of the day, the comanche is not a very complicated (or capable) airplane. Great review!
I've not tried the Comanche but only ever heard great things. This is remarkable in what it simulates for sure - it's like a living aircraft within the sim!
I’ve been trying to toss up between the Comanche and this! I like the A2A preflight & maintenance features but agree the plane itself is ‘simpler’ (albeit being super complex & well made by A2A)
I can only say, the Commanche and the duke are two different approaches with mostly similar features. A2A is about the passion and the feeling of owning that aircraft. What I see here is about to simulate every system. I like that approach too, but I miss the workaround. It's a tiny bummer compared to what the aircraft gives you. In total awesome aircraft but I can't say which one is better both are 100% simulations. I will have both and I am happy to see two companies with great ambitions to give us simers the most for our money.
I can’t wait for this one. I am visually impaired and can only fly steam gauge airplanes. I can’t see the glass cockpit. Currently flying the Mooney.. This one will be awesome.
In all the videos I’ve seen so far, it really seems like this airplane flies well. Not on rails like many others, it moves with the air, if that makes sense.
I’m insanely jealous! I’ve been antsy over the release of SU15, since we have to wait for these beauties until then. Both planes will be a day one purchase, without a doubt. Thanks for the vid! 🖖😀
Good morning British Avgeek, Cheers from across the Pond. Great review can you use NAVAGRAPH CHARTS within the tablet. Also, which airport were you utilizing. Have great day.
That isn’t Split in the runway flight path on the scenic approach you mention. It is Trogir. Thanks for the review of this plane. I presume rudder sensitivity is an area for the developer to focus on. I’ll be getting the piston version for sure 🎉
Great video, very enjoyable. what is the name of the program that gave you your landing performance? Also, can ou tell us what you and rudder pedals you used. It looked so smooth and controlled.
I've got some cheap Thrustmaster T Flight rudder pedals - they're not great to be honest but do the job. The landing thing was the Landing Rate widget for Parallel 42s Flow Pro
Is the autopilot simulated properly this time? As good as e.g. Black Square‘s TBM is, the wrong Autopilot Logic without any mode arming is really annoying. What‘s the point in having fancy effects and features if the basics don‘t work properly?
Hello From the Netherlands, thank you for the wonderful video. Simple question, do we need to change the default settings of the Bravo steering wheel and the Thrustmaster foot steering wheel? Thanks again.
Damit, I was going to pass on this one but after watching this video, I have a strong urge to fly it. If I do get it, I'll probably get the turbine version because I have the A2A Comanche, which is a great piston engine to fly. Great video, thanks.
Sadly it would likely be out already if it wasn't for the extra SU15 delays but i think SU15 comes out on Tuesday I believe (might be wrong but it's what I've heard)
14:52 something seems wrong with your electronics. The Low Volts warning is on, and main bus shows 0V. Maybe you needed to reset the generators? I was also confused that you lost engine instruments after starting the first engine. Either way, I'm looking forward to this plane(s) since the Turbine Duke from RealAir was one of my first add-ons for FSX.
Could be a step missed in a large checklist. I said at the start I'm still learning the aircraft and it's a complete simulation of the real thing so a lot to dig into and learn
You baked your left battery. The red light on the panel and icon in the EFB confirm it. Better to start on both. I'm sure you never have enough time to get into just one aircraft with all the videos you make but the black square manuals are really good reading.
@@TobyMikeBravo oh yeah the manuals are vast.. what it does highlight is how wonderfully simulated the aircraft is. I touched on engine damage but battery issues, pressurisation issues - it's all part of the simulation within the product 🙂 it's pretty cool
@@BritishAvgeek you never stood a chance, the battery was already too hot at 7:08, even before engine start. You also already had an ITT exceedance logged on the engine monitor.
Nice review. Looks realy nice if you like fly GA, I prefer airliners I am not so fancy over gps garmin navigation system, I and garmin systems we dont like each over so good🤣
oddly enough I think it depends on what browser and device you use because I played it back on my Google Pixel 7 Pro and Chrome browser on the PC and it was fine... the music was set to be significantly lower in volume in editing to make sure it didn't wash out the speech.
This remarkably fantastic package is out now!

The Duke's gonna become my go-to twin-engine plane in MSFS.
Thanks for showing the turbine version!
Had the Real Air Duke in FSX, loved it. Can’t wait for this one,
Those turbine startup sounds 🤤
Juicy aren't they!

You're welcome! Keep up the flying 🙌
Awesome plane. Love Black Square. I am an airliner simmer, but this aircraft will be in my hanger, for sure

Nice review Luke, its a cracking little plane👍Loving the sounds and the incredible level of detail, another JF classic👌
Been waiting some years for someone to do this plane, had it on my old msfs!! Never thought it would happen!!!
Great preview, thanks!
Luxurious turbine cruiser with one of the most epic cockpits and cabin ever. And the ignition key is already hanging there waiting for me ;)
It's a cool quick prop!
Work review mate ! Thx for sharing :)

My Streamdecks (and my brain as I program them in SPAD) are going to get a workout with these planes. Day 1 bundle purchase for me.
Alone for the sounds I'd consider buying this.
Oh the sounds are *good*!

Good news! It will now be releasing imminently. It's not being tied to SU15, though the GNS won't be usable until SU15 finally comes.
@@Ashleigh_T Just saw the news! 😀✈️
Looks great!
used to fly the Real Air Duke in FSX ,,,,hope this is as good
Haven't tried that one but this is incredibly good. Tons of detail and it's a simulation product that feels like it's "alive" in the SIM

Hi! Morning 👋 with the TDS GTNXi mod you can, not sure about the other ones as I don't use them. The airport I used was Split, Croatia
Very nice aircraft

I did say we were overflying Trogir on the way into Split as it was a flight from Split to Split 😅

I'm using the logitech pedals but they are way too sensitive even after adjusting them in the settings. Thanks for the reply.
Which airport are you flying from - or did I miss it somewhere?
how are you how do you put the control locks back on the controls in the duke can remove them not on tablet thanks
SU 15 first to see what happens and then TBM for me and the Duke although it seems like a fine aeroplane I will refrain and May The 4th Be With You
Which airport? Nice!
Where did you take off from?
Gonna put you outta business, this thing sounds so good it practically shills itself.

Does it support betarange?
Yes I mentioned at the end about the beta range with the audible click in the throttle...
is it out yet ?
I literally mentioned in the video it won't be out until after SU15 releases....
Please in future vids dial the music back? I find it really difficult to concentrate with it on. Cheers.
