The worst thing about being a fan of wrestling is the wrestling fans. Who gives a fuck if someone wants to change company when their contract is up? In any other industry this is completely normal.
My only issue with it is Mercedes seemingly only going to the highest bidder. It's her life and she can do what she wants, but if l were wwe l wouldn't accept her back in 3 years, since she shunned them now. She's already coming off a major injury. Her body (and maybe her mind too knowing that women's lockeroom) maybe broken behind repair at that time. Look at Brian Danielson. How many injuries has he had there? Look at Punk. His body is still falling apart. Andrade suffered an injury that kept him out a while too. Where on earth is Miro right now? I just don't want wwe to become the retirement home for broken down wrestlers after aew is done abusing and misusing them.

I understand all that u say. But it's the 'timing' (or lack thereof) of her stating this. Not the best way to BUILD UP 'MOMENTUM' for your upcoming AEW debut. Nor the most PROPER fashion in/with which to enter your new, very soon-to-be workplace. That's all.

In 3 years we won’t care as much. The longer time passes the more momentum gets lost. She has already built her name in WWE and with AEW being the smaller company whose audience mostly comes from WWE fans she’s not going help build her name. It’s not gonna be a Cody return because Cody built his name from AEW. Fact is that Sasha has no upward trajectory with AEW. Her stock will only lower the longer and longer she stays separate from WWE.

I believe the issue isn´t that she will leave afterwards, but rather the fact that she hasn´t debuted yet, she has her ´´own´´ episode of Dynamite next week and she already kind of burried AEW, treating them like a stepping stone for her - that´s the problem, you can want to be elsewhere but keep it private, she went to AEW because WWE wasn´t willing to pay her more, TK was (probably, don´t know how much she will make) and she immediately throws him under the bus - kind of unprofessional

Imo, Mercedes has something that's sorely lacking in AEW as a whole, for the most part.... she looks like a star. Beauty is part of it. But it overall how she presents herself. There just aren't many people in that company that genuinely look like a star, especially in the women's division. Probably the last woman with that look that AEW had was Jade Cargil... and she's gone to WWE now. Mercedes is going to stick out a LOT, no matter who AEW puts her in the ring with just because of how she looks, and moves, compared to how AEW wrestlers present themselves.
But it's only a matter of time before they have her losing to Riho, and joining the Outcasts, or something dumb like that. If her contract last longer than a year, she's going to eventually get lost in the AEW mass hiring shuffle and forgotten about just like everyone else does (from Saraya, to Soho, to Paige Vanzant... remember her being announced as All Elite?) It's why I don't actually want her to go to AEW, but eh... it's not up to me.

I have no problem with what she said. They all come back eventually. As long as she's happy, healthy, putting on great matches, and making money that's all the matters. As another person said, it's about tact. She hasn't even started yet and already she has told everyone that it won't last. It's like starting a new job and before you even started you told your boss that you will go to their competitor in a few years, you will piss people off saying that.
It will call into question her motivation, how commited she will be to AEW when she says something like that.
And also, imagine how that will make the locker room feel, women that are there busting their asses off, been there for years, signed new deals since they care for the company and Mercedes walk in, gonna be the nr.1 girl there and she is already on her way out in her head in a few years time. It is gonna rub some women the wrong way and after the trouble they had with Baker and Rosa and the bad booking and them well working to improve and heading in the right direction, it is gonna really suck is Mercedes just shows up and sour everything because she is not commited at all.
Now it is possible she didn't explain herself properly, maybe she meant in 5-10 years time she wants to go back to WWE for a retirement run, who knows. It would be understandable sure but keep that to yourself. She is going to AEW, focus on that. Put all the effort into doing the best you can for AEW for the time you will be there. Do not even think about WWE until the contract is up and it's time to negotiate.

Who care at least AEW gets her and there's some great moments who know maybe she likes it and stays a little long than she planned. i very much understand and majorly agree, but were Andrade, Miro, Malakai, and Buddy blessings? When they refuse to lose and then disrupt plans because of it. To me it shows a lack of dedication to what youre doing now if the focus is just getting back there. thats why we don't get Malakai singles run, Miro and Andrade stop start. Mercedes is one of the best no matter the company, this is just a terrible look prior to a debut. Why not go back now if the plan is to end up back there "eventually" the lane was open
