Eric and band , including Albert Lee, and Gary Brooker, did a warm up tour of small venues in Ireland back in 1981..Eric strolled around the floor before the gig, talking to fans..the gig was in my local community hall, 500 people packd the hall..very little documented re this tour, but if you check out Clapton tour of Ireland 1981, you will find some info on it. I was lucky enough to attend and enjoy..
Just insane this guy is still breathing and sounding better everyday. Took me a while to really appreciate him, but he's sounding so good and cool recording at a small gig

I've seen this guy a couple times but not since the 70's. He seems to get better with time like a fine wine. What I've noticed about Clapton's solos is he never losses the thread of the song even though he's soloing. You can hear the melody IN his soloing. Other just go off on a tangent & tear it up while staying in key Clapton is always playing the song.
He's still got it, guitar and voice. What I like about Eric is that his priority is the music, with his guitar supporting the music not the other way around, and he knows how to make music that's great to listen to. Love how he stands back, smiles at Katie and gives her the stage, clearly enjoying it. Everybody talks about his guitar playing, but I've always loved his singing as well. Great to see one of my favourite fellow Welshman still with him - Andy Fairweather Low. Eric and Andy are a brilliant team (but wish the video didn't cut in the midst of Andy's solo).

Eric has been blamed 'cause all these covid "things". Some old fake friends have cut relations with him and forgot all the Eric's contribution to Rock 'n' Roll and blues music. On top of that, Clapton has helped some artists, for instance JJ Cale and BB King in addition to his Crossroad Project. Eric is a real talent and great human being.
