      I went to school as a draftsman. Promoted to technician and then proto type tool designer. This man is superb. It could have been a high precision tool maker. Anything.

    I think I would add a couple of magnets to the bottom to hold the base when adjusting heights on the table saw, And maybe just to verify the accuracy of the unit, have it measure on of the setup blocks.

    I'm interested in how he is able to cut small pieces using a circular saw; i really didn't thing that was possible. And then double-sided taape to hold small pieces for routing...and that little vise unit for holding small pieces...
    This opens whole new vistas for me.

    I need some of the double sided tape that you use. I'm in South Africa and all the hardware stores only have the thicker foam based tape. Do you perhaps have a brand name or link to the tape?

      Yes I too wondered what was the point of that. Inverting the calipers and extending the depth rod would have actually measured the rebate depth. But give the guy his due, he really is a great demonstrator and craftsman.
