- The 3rd day of the Welsh trilogy, a day at the humbling Plas Dinam.
With Partridge flying like rockets and Pheasants soaring high we succeeded, failed and were humbled all at the same time. What a place!
I'm 68 years of age and went to my first two days of game shooting in Scotland this season. I've watched your films intently and taken your advice. Extremely nervous on the first drive of the first shoot, but I had a I had a fantastic day's education and some great sport. The whole day was magical - the people, the atmosphere, the banter, hospitality and friendliness of all the people involved was just how life should be - all the time!
The second day was the same and I shot my first ever partridge. I likened it to that of a tiny Exocet missile - incredibly quick, aren't they?
So, thank you J-P for your advice - I put it to good use and had two fantastic days! Who knows? We may cross paths one day and I'll thank you in person!! All the best.
So pleased you had your first two days and they were great! Well done as well on your first partridge! such a great quarry to shoot! Some of the locations in wales manage to get the height as well as the speed from them and that makes a very interesting day! As for my advice you are very welcome and I am glad it helped! I am sure at some point our paths will cross! All the best and keep shooting!

A great shoot with a challenging 4th drive. I remember someone told me, don't get upset when you get the lead wrong and have a bit of a struggle as it's just part of the fun as if we were all perfect shots there would be no challenge or fun in the sport. Thank you for the videos they are very inspiring and informative.

What are the green cartridges your using please?

Hi Marc, the cartridges are Eley Zenith. These are a copper coated shot and something I use all the time. They do a range of weights and shot size. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching
I've studied the video of the first half of the quarry and I can see what the problem was. You clearly weren't holding your tongue right:)
