YEP seeks to address the socio-economic challenges that impact young adults who are justice-involved in New York with an innovative and intergenerational model that centers on families of incarcerated loved ones.
Through the promotion and training of youth from communities profoundly affected by mass incarceration, we aim to cultivate the next generation of public advocates. By guiding them in taking effective civic action and actively participating in the democratic process as they approach the voting age, we empower them to become agents of positive change.
