Great video Max, it looks like you had a lot of (type 2) fun. A few thoughts: when you buy a Raptor you get to choose every component with no added build cost. If you want 160mm front rotor - that's what you get. As for the noisy free hubs, we have plenty to choose from. Next time you should try our new Round wheels. As for saddle tilt, we fit all of our customers before we build the bike. We start with no tilt and go from there.
A dull end Nov day, some all in black and no light. Guess being stylish matters more. Also this time of year although I hate using them I think need lightweight mudguards, roads too wet and muddy otherwise and if riding in a group you are just going to spray anyone behind. But again, they're not cool so I guess no-one there would even contemplate it.
Hi TWL great video and bike. No mudguards tut ! tut ! Only joking as even this old boy who has a Touring Bike with said mudguards prefers to ride a better looking bike without them. I ride mainly solo so its not that I am plastering mud over anyone. What size tyres are you using in this weather ? If you ever want to venture out we have some great roads down here in East Sussex that can take in Birling Gap and Beachy Head. Stay safe out there. Probably won't be able to afford it but I look forward to watching your review on the bike.
Bike computer elevation isn’t very accurate … can easily be +/- 10% away from reality especially on a windy day (they use air pressure sensor). It’s why Strava has the ‘adjust elevation’ option; it uses map terrain data which is more accurate
@@thewattlife also great job on your YT channel I enjoy your vids and check back every 1-2 days to see what's new! A lot of it resonates ... although I'm Cambridge-based i've ridden a lot in Buckinghamshire (I used to work in Chalfont) and have ridden Surrey and Sussex a lot too. And next year I'm planning a Mallorca trip so enjoyed your vids from there too
Why doesn’t anyone ride with mudguards? Most white socks/shoes/helmet…..very pretentious. Wouldn’t catch me anywhere near that group. Also don’t understand if you love cycling why you would live in London.
White shoes/socks in the middle of winter is a bit silly. No mudguards in a group is anti-social and style over substance. Just to say I like the videos and you do an excellent job and seem ‘real’ so thank you.
Yeah i get the mudguard thing, and its in part why i dont ride much in groups in the winter. Im stuck between that middle ground of not liking wet winter rides but also occassionally jumping on my bike to join one
SYN don’t really have an presence in the UK- they don’t have any stores and I’m not sure they are even sold in many places so their isn’t much of a brand identity here other than these rides which happen every month or so
@leewright hahaha right, they should sell the Jerseys letters individually, so you and some mates can buy each letter and cycle in a row of three at all times.
How do you set up your saddle- tilt or no tilt?

What a brilliant video Max, great commentary as usual and even features the infinite wisdom of Fede, really helped make my flight time whizz by!
Thank you- glad you enjoyed it. I probably put way too much effort into making these haha
Another brilliant video Max 👏
Thank you dude
Cracking base mile ride. Love the tache at that Syn dude.
Base miles have been goooood to me over the Autumn
Great video Max, it would have taken me at least a week to edit 😂
Haha keep me updated on the saddle and the tilt, would be interested to know if you change it at all
You should come to kent, the roads are like riding on the moon.
Riding big old tyres helped- seems easier to fix your tyre size than it does to get the council to fix a road
@@thewattlifeI was thinking some of the roads looked 💩.
Day before a big ride i usually do a zone 2 for an hour. When I was in 20's we did hard sat, sun.
That Raptor looks great - I was in the Clubhouse back in September, will be interested to see how it compares to the Ostrovam and the Winspace
Very nice bike,I like the colour!
Yeah the colour range from the Raptor guys is insane
like the colour
It looks good huh. 🥰
Does The Club House not sell mud guards?
Good work, looked and interesting day out.
Nice video...was wondering if you still race on Zwift? Would be interesting to see where you're at there.
I have an update on this planned soon. Been a tough/fun year
@@thewattlife Praying for some more of the Zwift video's like you did last year. loved those!
Hell yeah you ended up getting the Raptor 💪 Glad you got rid of that Winspace.
What’s the issue with winspace
I’ve only got the Raptor for 4-5 days. I LOVE my SLC 3 and hopefully building up a T1550 Gen 2 next year
Ya, I prefer the SLC for sure!!
@TBATTIECYCLING it says Winspace on the downtube.
Coffee ☕️ and cake London prices 😂

Box Hill is My Favorite when Riding London on Zwift… Is real Life and Zwift close🤔… Other than the Weather 😂👍🚴♂️🚴♀️🚴♂️🚴♀️🍻
On Zwift- you take the underground and pop up at Box Hill… can confirm you cannot do this in real life
😂😂😂😂
sans bidon? nightmare!
Ha you noticed that. Early morning and forgot to grab a bidon so it was a tough day
How many extra watts do these group rides push because they know you're putting them all up on YT.😆
A few watts less actually
£35 on coffee and cake !!? Don't go to cafes down south is my main take away from this video!!
Hi which model is your helmet?
It’s the new HJC Furion 3 👌🏻
nice! break 300 ftp avg yet? havent watched any vids since I was overseas last 3mo..
I’m close and planning a video update in Dec- so a few weeks
lol but not quite yet… 🥴😂
I climbed this on Zwift. Wonder how close my virtual experience is to the real thing.
A lot warmer i would imagine
I've served my time in the Surrey Hills and i wouldn't venture there now at this time of year on anything other than a gravel bike.
The WattLife supports this message
Oh strange, Wahoo said 1100m of elevation on my ride.
Yeah Ed’s said 950. Guess we all did different rides 😂

Thats good to know and definitely makes more sense on a day where there was fog, mist and sunshine, must have been havoc with the pressure sensors

I don’t think white is pretentious I do think it looks good.
I honestly don’t ride in winter so would never get mud guards

Cycling can be great in London, just need to avoid the 'chopper' squads

SYN is yuck. Like a cult

They need to make those logos bigger 😂😂😂
