Porter: I made a magical machine that creates fully functional complex humanoid robots out of logs. Yes. Logs.
Also Porter: Oh golly gee I hope I don't lose my super abusive underpaid McJob.

I’m currently listening though all your audiobooks for Fazbear Frights, and I think this may be one of my favorites so far. I love the implication that he was “remade” and his old self died. I mean, with the type of guy he was, I consider this a good ending 😂

I think the puppet carver is like the detoxing tank from Rick and Morty. Separating the good parts of jack and leaving the rest.

I am thinking about the idea that Fazgoo, is now related to the Lonely Freddys. The really sudden change in mood of both characters seems like a bit of a parallel that I may look into at a later date

    BRUHHHHHHH
    (spoilers)
So obviously it has something to do w the Faz-Goo, but how did that even get involved with Porter's machine at all? Was it intentional, or was it some outside force? Why didn't Jack realize he was dying or getting hurt-- is Jack a normal human like everyone else, or was he some sort of puppet made to look human, like Charlie from the main series?
Who or what was possessing the consciousness of the Goo-thing? Was it the "real" Jack? Was it a totally different entity? It seems like it came out of nowhere, or from someone's failed home Faz-Goo experiment that was looking to be complete or something like that.
I dunno. This was a really good story, though, I liked it a lot, I like that it wasn't a total depressing one where Jack doesn't right his wrongs (if it's even Jack)

I think Jack died when he got trapped in the Puppet Carver and what emerged was the puppet who saw the mangled remains and kind of hallucinated thinking they were chasing him as he stepped into the role of the new Jack...kind of like symbolic passing of the touch. Jack never left the machine after being mutilated by the saws. The novel shows a puppet, Sylvester, being more appreciative than most people, of all the little things in life just like the new "Jack" doesn't want to take anything for granted.

Describing the opening as, “Human sized,” and then specifying that the log is five feet tall made me grit my teeth in discomfort because that log, for five foot tall me, is as human sized as it gets-

No, the story from Candy Cadet was about a man that adopted 5 kids and when he left to go to the store, the 5 kids got killed by a robber that broke into the house. The man was heart broken and stitched the kids together because he did not have Enough money to buy 5 coffins. So he put the body in one coffin.

Maybe the puppet craver carved a puppet out of jack and the faz-goo is his actual body and now jack is a machine but still with his consciousness like the dead kinds in the original story when William afton kills them and there ghosts go to the robots.

@@user-ue9cq3fh3v Yeah And Fazbear Frights is rather infamous for having repeating plots in some stories like Friendly Face had a similar plot as blackbird alongside some weird stuff like in the flesh from the fifth Fazbear Frights Book that’s infamous for the scene where Matt gave birth to baby Springtrap

@@Mr.Feather130 yeah but the funny thing is that until this story, it didn't bother me because although they had the same elements each story felt different enough because of the setup, characters etc. here it's just didn't click for me.
And is the birth story infamous for a reason? It didn't felt like agenda pushing or something and for me it was quite normal fazbear Frights ending.
Does it has something to do with the main universe? Because I only know the basics, sister location (which I love) and the live action movie. I basically started reading the books as a favour for a friend who's a huge fan of the franchise.
