i got to play my first LDBO last weekend in albuquerque and was blown away by the resonance, depth and thick trebles and mids. i cannot get that sound out of my head. it was their standard, torrefied adi/sinker mahogany, with a tuxedo top. i could feel it deep into my core when i played it. o man. someday .. .
After a lifetime of playing and listening to high end guitars there aren't many which cause me to stop what I am doing and pay total attention. This one did exactly that. Beautiful tone to match the construction.
Incredible guitar Matt - simply a work of art! And what a sound - unique... the crispness and articulation of those fundamentals are beautiful and just enough overtones to carry off a subtle balance that provides soft gentle harmonious notes. While all the time maintaining that somewhat earthy quality. Stunning!
Gorgeous playing and guitar. My first reaction was that it reminded me of the old Bacon and Day Senorita that John Fahey played for a while. Whoever buys it had better be a superb player to match the bling. I tend to be an "understated elegance" type, but Wow!
Absolutely exquisite piece of art, but i wonder about the function of the mother of pearl fingerboard, tonally and durability speaking. I love the form of the torrified maple back and sides, but wonder about it's suitability for a OO sized guitar. No doubt if anyone could get the optimum outcome out of this total combination, Mr Bourgeois is the luthier for the job. If maple and spruce is used for bowed instruments, there is certainly good reason for it to be used for small bodied guitars. What was your immediate response to the sound of this instrument Matt ? Thank you for your valued appraisal of the instrument's sound. cheers
I can't afford one of these guitars, but where can I buy your album Matt? That's one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. And when I edited my comment, your "like/ heart" went away :-(
eddiesguitarsstl I had actually looked to see whether you had any recordings available, but didn’t have any luck. If still available, please let me know where I can buy anything you have had released.
Songs For Girls EP? I think I have a few tracks that are tagged with that EP Title. Would love to get the legit release, I loved chatting with you about guitars and noodling back in the day
Santa Cruz, collings, bourgeois (what a shit name), all make worse guitars than Martin and charge 10 times as much to rich people who don’t know any better.

It would never leave the house and I would wonder about playing it very much with that fretboard. It sounds heavenly though.
Beautiful, congratulations to whoever is/becomes the new owner of this guitar.
my thoughts exactly!

Rings like a bell. Reminds me of the Kopp.
Beautiful playing Matt. Is this a sneak perview of your upcoming album?
indeed it is! The second tune was actually off an EP I recorded back in 2006!

Better have Django chops to play a guitar like that! Exquisite tone
Brand new one for sale in 2020 for 10,400
I'm going to tell my wife that if she doesn't buy me a Bourgeios soon, then divorce is imminent.
24.9 0r 25(ala dobro & prs)?
How about a demo in standard tuing? Any guitar sounds good in a open tuning.
both songs are actually played in standard A-440 tuning. thanks!

I think that Guitar needs a NECK RESET by the looks of the saddle slots....
