God allowed me to see this for a reason. 2 years ago He called me to social media, but He also had to sit me down, because all I was thinking about was trends and how to get more people to see it. Every time, I was going to initiate it on my own accord, everything fell through. I can officially say that though I’ve been in a season of waiting ever since, I can now understand why. I haven’t even started the path to walking in this purpose and to be honest, and I find it intimidating because of the responsibilities it carry’s. No one really emphasize on the weight it carry’s so many will think it’s all sunshine and rainbows, but as you said the battle behind the scenes is a gruesome one. Though, It’s been a few days, since that tugging on my heart started again, I’m just gonna keep praying, because I don’t want to pull myself away from my purpose in His will. I’m probably being paranoid, but I just need to be sure, plus I’ve always wanted to try missionary, rather than being in front of a camera.

@@rakel_imali Are we the same person? Twins Separated at conception?🤔😮 Lol, God knows what He is doing, we just have to show up and let Him do the rest. We may get distracted at times, but as long as we focus on His goodness everything else will fall into place. Whenever God sits us down, it’s only because He knows the outcome and knows it’s not something we are prepared to face. These past to years has been humbling to say the least and to be honest, I’m glad He did. I was going through my prayers from a year or two ago and goodness did I cringe and defensively tell god, “That’s not me anymore. I just want to make that clear.” He chuckled and said, “I know” but it just goes to show the craziest and most unexpected things can come from the desires He place in us and He does these things for our own good and His glory. I’m stuck somewhere in between crying and shouting, He is so Good!

This was soooo good. I was listening to a podcast episode of Tim Ross and his special guest Dee 1 and I remember Tim saying something along the lines of “did God bless it or were you just slick”. Referring to marketing.
And they were talking about how the devil can “bless” you too which is something you touched on a bit. Anyway, this was a really good and relevant topic to speak on and I’m glad you brought up the verse about teachers being judged more harshly too. Big numbers are cool but at the end of it all, when we stand before God, our social media following won’t be there to vouch us. Gotta stay sober minded
I saw your pick it up and preach video because my 17 year old daughter sent it to me. So, as always I watch other videos in whatever account she sends me videos from. I'm glad you're here and that you found Jesus. This is an important video. Influence. You have it and what a huge responsibility it is. Having said that, I have to caution you about your growing influence. I saw a video of yours that I didn't like. I'm not going to describe the video but I will say that there are things that we sometimes carry over from our old life into our New Life and I know that sometimes it takes some time to let go of those things but when we have such a great influence on the younger generation we have to sometimes re-examine ourselves and make sure that sweetwater and bitter water aren't flowing from the same fountain. I'm Gen X so I have a good grasp of life before social media and life after. I hope you continue to make good content and I also hope that you periodically examine that content to make sure that your influence plants a good seed. Peace and blessings. ✝️💖
This is such a good episode and take as well. As a Christian influencer (primarily on Instagram and Tiktok) I also think theres this perception that if you have a larger following, you also don't have a regular 9-5 job which is not always the case. Yes, God called me to online ministry, but I am also a full time healthcare worker. Sometimes when God calls you to something, it means doing the extra work and believe me there are days where I work every waking hour of the day between the two. Not only is it hard work but you have to be mentally and emotionally ready for pushback. Opposition. Hate. Just like Jesus was. Thanks for this episode Emy! Well said girl! I think one thing to remember too as Christians (especially those who seek a platform) is that not everything that looks like a blessing is from God and not everything that looks like a setback is from the enemy. Also, success, opportunities, and talent can take you where your character can’t keep you. There’s been many times in my life where I’ve received what I thought was a blessing that ended up being a setback and many times I’ve been given a blessing I couldn’t keep because of my character.
Keep going girl. We need some positive Christian influences like you!
Also, also, double stuffed Oreos are the best version of Oreos (try keeping them in the fridge! I don’t know why but it hits so much harder when they’re just a little cold with milk) and Tagalongs (they call them something different in other regions lol) are the best Girl Scout cookie 👀

haven’t even watched this episode yet but i js wanted to cement this somewhere . i’m sure you know this but gods doin big things thru u and around u .. i really believe he’s put on my heart a podcast as well , to simply be me n to speak love n truth . seeing you n your charisma n love n energy n all of the above and more just flow into and through this podcast was a big part of that . god has big plans for me n really every n anybody reading this . ima touch hearts n lives be being myself and just walking in obedience through it all , the same way u do . i pray anybody reading this understands that god wants to bring them to a place where they can do the same .. not necessarily in a podcast or by being famous n allat , but in your own unique way god has big plans for you .
