😆Great opening shot! That trip looks incredible, we have to get up to the lakes. As ever, the food looks fantastic too. Jack did well to get down those steps on that rock. You'd never get Raffy doing that. Catch up soon.
Gotta love the lakes weather-always a surprise round the corner. Fantastic when you can find places where other people are scarce and views are everywhere 👍
Thank you 😁 That’s the beauty of relying on a guide sometimes. You think you know it all or, you forget about places you promised you’d visit and then, there’s a whole host of stunners written down in front of you, in a nice circular order 👌🏼
Just catching up on your channel and this summer hasn’t been one for the memories. I’m pretty sure it’s been one of the windiest, wettest and coldest for many years but i still enjoy getting out regardless. Our best week so far was NC500 back in late April but i guess we were just god damn lucky, take care both 👍👌
Another good watch guys, didnt know about the Lakes 100 map, its on the order List, thanks for the inf, some stunning walks, Thirlmere was one of the first Lakes we visited, found a stunning view point halfway down the east bank dodgy park up but well worth it. One of them great to be alive days. Thanks guys Look forward to next one👍
Thank you 🙏🏼 It’s 100% worth doing. Thirlmere is just gorgeous, especially when you get above it! Heading up helvellyn from wythburn is a great vantage point, so too is the summit of steel fell 👌🏼
Sorry, guaranteed sunshine isn’t normally guaranteed until after the school holidays so you’re better going in September 😄 You’ll love the chippy! You can sit in upstairs but it’s not dog friendly
Best vid for a while, good stuff. ( no offence obvs 😉) Never heard of the Lakes 100 so now another we have to do 🤦🏻♂. That there Winfields is brill. Grandads view-brill. 🍻
You saying the others are 💩 😄 We’ve had the old map for a few years but took us this long to actually do it! Glad we did though, encourages you to see much more 👍🏼
We love the lakes and are going again next week for 4 nights 🙌🏻 what was the drive to buttermere like? We’ve heard it’s quite a tight road we have a VW camper too 👌🏻🚐
Honister pass and beyond is perfectly doable. It can be tricky when it’s really busy, just due to lots of cars on narrow roads and bad parking but otherwise, it’s easy. Enjoy your trip 🤩
Great vlog. Never heard of this route but determined to try it now. Thanks. Does Alan have a special knife for getting down from high places? (I also get a touch of vertigo, so I’m with him on that).
Thanks!! You really should, it takes you to busy tourist spots and places where you’ll be alone 👌🏼 Hmmmm not yet, maybe a new Swiss Army knife would help with that 😄
Thank you! 🙏🏼 In total (including the next video) we did 5-6 nights, although we had a lie in each day and didn’t rush so you could do it in less time or, take a week and see much more.
@@livefollower3339 aah yes, somewhere we always say we need to explore and end up getting pulled in by the lakes. Does it get busy round those areas? I know Arnside can. Used to camp in silverdale as a kid, haven’t been back since
60p to spend a penny? thats inflation for you!! the Lakes is a wonderful area, walked there many times in my teens and early 20s, even canoed and swam in Lake Windemere.
@@chrishoole617 thanks a lot 👌🏼 Agreed, it isn’t “cheap” but there are no campsites in the area so I guess there’s no reason to reduce the price. Location is ideal for a meal and drinks in Ambleside so we’re happy 😁
Guys, amazing as always. Just got the outtake when Alan said he needed a poo and a beer!!!!!! I'm glad I've no imagination. I would be scarred for the next few days. 🤭

Cheers Mal 😁
Jack did a better job of the steps than I did!!
The Lakes is a must for you, just avoid school holidays or you might regret it 👍🏼
Great video. We too love the lakes 😊
Thanks Bev 😁
Gotta love the lakes weather-always a surprise round the corner. Fantastic when you can find places where other people are scarce and views are everywhere 👍
100%, you’ve got to just get out there and wait for it to get better 😁
Next week’s video takes us to some much quieter areas 👍🏼
A super VLOG. I'll rewatch with a pen & paper to take down the info. It looks like a super road trip. Thanks for sharing.
@@alanbenham4139 it’d be even better with sunshine 😄😄
It’s well worth doing we think, even if you just do it in stages 👌🏼
Your video’s just get better and better…..well done guy. Keep going.❤
Thanks very much 🤩
Lovely footage guys, lovely. …. Thought we saw you arrive at Dubbed out on the Friday, if so hope you had a good un. 👍

Great stuff. Hadn’t heard of the map but a good and different way to see the awesome Lakes. Love it Thanks to both and Jack

Thank you 🙏🏼

Aww looks like you had such a good time, my favourite place is the lakes! Typical British summer weather though 😅
It was brilliant!! Even with the poor weather, it’s such a great place to explore 😍
Great use of the What 3 Words addresses guys giving others an easy way to quickly find your locations. 10/10 👍
Started editing this after seeing you so thought I best throw a few in there 😉
Great video ,thank you both 👍🏻
Thank you 🤩
Best intro ever, hilarious 😂
We never really do an intro so thought we’d make the effort 😄
Great vlog guys! We defo want to check out that fish and chip shop in Keswick now. Could you promise us some sunshine in late August? 😁

Really enjoyed this video. You’re the same as us… the rain follows us everywhere 😂 good old British weather!
Glad you enjoyed it 😁
Typical but, we’d take rain over a heatwave… maybe 😄

Great Video guys, we’ve been making notes.book…… Moochers guide to the Lakes ?
We have thought of doing some sort of guide book in the past but sounds like hard work and there’s lots of competition 👍🏼

Loved this one, you guys deserve a much bigger audience. Perhaps a spin off channel “Jack Sh*ts (in stunning locations)” would build another niche…
