It's looking great! I love your auxiliary view panel with the pause, I'll have to make one like it. Thanks for the Shoutout 😁

Hello Jason, I want to express my appreciation for sharing this incredible build with us. I'm also very interested in building a Cessna 172 with a G1000 cockpit and recently purchased the Simionic Switch and ignition key. However, I've been having trouble finding information or instructions on how to connect and operate the ignition key. Do you have any advice or tips on how to go about this, or can you point me in the right direction to find the necessary information? Your expertise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.🤗

HI mate and thanks for tuning in. I have hooked my Simionic ignition to a Leo Bodnar board (I used BUO836X). Each of the wires connects to a corresponding input on the board. Page 3 of the Simionic manual for the ignition switch shows which wires are to go where. For example map pin 1 - gnd to a gnd input on your bodnar board (or you could try arduino but would need to have connectors). Hope this helps somewhat......

@@CessSim Oh great, all clear, understood. I was just wondering if it would be possible because Li from Simionic once mentioned in an introduction video that the switch plays a role in communication with the ignition key. I already have the ELEGOO Mega-R3 and will try to use the ignition key with it.
      Thanks!

Hi mate and thanks for the sub. I am using the Simionic G1000 App which is available. They talk to the sim via wifi using a bridge connection software which is also available (you get the bridge software from Simionic website).

Its very detailed ,you did so much work .. do you have a powerful system to run all of the monitors and everything

Thanks Simon. I have recently purchased a fairly high end machine (i9 10900k / 32GB DDR4 / nvme OS. Having said that I am only using a 3060ti at present as monitors are running 1080p which generally gives me around 30 fps which is fine for flight sims. Will look to upgrade the GPU when the RTX 4000 gets released late next year.

Hi Tom. Thanks for tuning in. The TV's are 3 x 55" Samsung (1080P setting on all 3). They are all connected to the 3090Ti graphics card via the display port connections (I use HDMI to display port cables for each). The operator station uses the HDMI port on the graphics card. No additional software other than XPlane......hope this helps

Hi and thanks for tuning in. Are you referring to the iPad mini on the yoke itself? If so, I use this with a few different apps including (Navigraph for charts, Windy for METAR conditions, Vatscope for Vatsim interface, and UA-cam Studio for streaming). If you mean the main panel in front of the pilot, that is the PFD for the G1000......

Do yourself a giant favor and look into brunner yokes. They're force feedback yokes. A little pricy, but 100% worth it when you take flight simming seriously. Which you obviously do :D

    • @CessSim

Thanks mate. Actually I am OK with the current yoke. It actually isn't Saitek as has been completely stripped to just yoke handle. Behind panel I have mechanically linked them which works well and adds to my immersion. Custom designed linkages and Potentiometers running pitch and roll hooked up to Leo bodnar board. No doubt proper purchased yokes are better but I always wanted to have a mechanically linked system from the outset. Thanks for watching is appreciated.

@@CessSim I got a Brunner yoke and I have to say that the experience and immersion were taken to the next level. It is also possible to link a second Brunner yoke but it comes at a high price.
