Atomic Heart has a setting called Streaming Mode, which turns off all of the licensed music in the game for people who want to avoid copyright strikes when they livestream or upload their gameplay to UA-cam.
Great video!! Seriously very well made. I loved the inclusion of the Black Ops 3 multiplayer music at 37:30 too, I must've listened to it so many times that I can always recognise it hahah Keep up the amazing work! It would be great if you continue this series for the DLCs of this game. It blew my mind to find out DLC 1 was a completely different timeline to DLC 2.
Reading between the lines here: Sechenov is an idealist who lived through the horror of the 2nd World War, which in this timeline probably was much much worse. He never wanted humanity to live through that again, for ignorant and selfish leaders to manipulate people into handing over their lives and causing mass destruction. He wanted a better future for humanity and that was the whole point of Kollective and his robots. He knew what he was doing and he also knew what others would try to do with his dream. Kollective would have been the gateway to a transhuman future. Knowledge would be ubiquitous. You would know everything anyone else knew. No more secrets, no more lies, no more manipulation. Decisions would be made by global consensus and with the innovations that his technology would be able to provide the world, the need for a socialist or capitalist state would no longer be necessary. Robots do the labor, happily, humans do the thinking and planning in a world where we all share our thoughts and where we all have the same level of control. No more tyrants, no more war, no more poverty or hate or greed. Unfortunately, this scared Petrov and Filatov, who believed they would lose what it meant to be human and that this would all lead to some sort of mind control, which it couldn't. Zina, could potentially also be accused of this. That's just them misunderstanding things and not having all the information. Molotov and the Soviet Politboro are convinced Kollective and the robots are the perfect weapon for destroying their enemy and turning the world into a fascist utopia masquerading as a communist utopia. After all, the party and government in general would no longer be necessary under Sechenov's vision. No one in a position of power that fully understood the implications of Sechenov's plan would truly want Kollective 2.0 to go online. As for Zakharov, he had a grander vision in mind. His own personal metamorphosis and the destruction of the rest of humanity. Sechenov was well aware of all of this. He opposed Atomic Heart, but couldn't really take action against it. He had to agree to it, but he could still try to stop it. The combat mode was going to be built in but he was going to have a kill switch, the alpha connector and the beta rings. The alpha connector could shut the combat mode down across the entire network, or switch it on. The beta rings give robots equipped with them full autonomy from the rest of the system. Originally Sechenov planned to use the alpha connector to permanently disable combat mode. The Twins would be given beta-1 and beta-2 so they could continue to protect him while he was disconnected from the Kollective and there was an issue with overriding the combat mode. They would take his last commands over any others they may receive. Then a couple of things happened. Petrov's cold feet, Zakharov's disappearance, Molotov working to have Sechenov removed from the project so he could take over, and finally the Bulgarians attacking Sergey and Katya. Sechenov realized his original plans might not work. He figured Petrov might be up to something and he was never very comfortable with Zakharov and his experiments. He had a hunch about Char-LES, but I don't think he knew right away. He used the polymer to repair Sergey's brain damage. He would have done the same thing for Katya, but she died from her injuries. But her mind was still uploaded into the network. Her consciousness would become not only Limbo, but part of P-1 and P-2, the Twins. My hunch is, at this point, Sechenov was certain either Petrov, Zakharov, or Molotov was going to get to him before he could impliment his plan. What he didn't anticipate was the full scope of Petrov's plan and the damage it would cause. This got Molotov moving. Sergey was entrusted with Zahkarov by Sechenov prior to all of this. It was the best place, and Sechenov also figured that when he used his kill switch, that would disable Sergey's combat mode as well. This is why he keeps Sergey away during the game. Zina is also another unforeseen interference in the plan. She's ignorant of the full picture, so doesn't know what Sechenov is scheming. She's also angry about what happened to Katya and what Sergey has become. Char-LES is manipulating Sergey, hoping he can convince Sergey to destroy the beta rings which leaves Sechenov in a bad position when he's able to get close enough to get synched up with the Red Polymer and take over. Sechenov was eventually going to let Sergey in on what was happening, I think. But all this interference meant P-3 was removed from the equation. Not that terrible an outcome though. Kollective is disabled, for now. Zakharov is either destroyed or escaped. If you chose for P-3 to stop being manipulated, he's taken off, believing that Sechenov is not the problem but everybody else is. He knows too much though and is going to be a thorn in someone's side somewhere down the line. Or, he's in Limbo with P-1 and P-2, being told their not free by Katya who fills them in on the spaces Sechenov left blank and they become the ghosts in the machine thwarting any attempt by the Politboro, or Zakharov of taking over the Kollective. Because, while they may be connected to it, only P-1, P-2, and P-3 are part of Limbo. And Limbo/Katya is the true Alpha Connector. When Katya flies out to meet Sergey in Limbo, you see the rings floating in the distance over a dome shaped object. Sechenov either had this idea as a back-up plan from the start, hiding what he tried to do with Zakharov and Katya from the Ministry, since they were already uploaded, or he came up with it on the fly as events unfolded. Given that he wasn't aware of Zakharov's "possession" of Sergey until it was too late, he probably took measures to make sure Limbo was secured and transformed into a back up of the rings and Alpha Controller.
Crispy critters! What a wild story and perhaps a warning. A.I., free will, the human condition... If people weren't so wrapped up and consumed by the politics of it all hopefully more and more people will get to experience this awesome game and story. It gets an a+ rating from me! Excited to see what the dev team dreams up next! I am thoroughly impressed and excited for future projects or continuations of this ip!!!
Crispy critters! That was a lot to take in. I have played Atomic Heart and completed it. I had to search for those pocket watches and check out the logs to understand more of the story and to fresh out the characters such as Victor. There where times I forgot parts of the story or what the characters where saying. (Mostly by robot attacks). At lest now I fully understand the story now so well done.
Crispy critters! I wanted to know about the game's story in detail since I can't play the game (neither want to spent too much time watching a gameplay) and this video was pretty nice! Tysm for making this! And god, I did think the major was the one responsible for the killings when he blacked out, but I did not expect the twist in the end holy shit, took me completely by surprise!
I get it - it’s kinda weird. It’s a subset of the diagesis argument - that if a character would hear the dialogue in their native dialect, there’s no reason why the audience member shouldn’t as well. Some film and theatre thinkers posit that it’s a more accurate way of conveying the character’s point of view, while others say it erases valuable cultural clues that provide contextual circumstance.
Kinda disappointed there wasn't a third ending where you break the limbo of being a pawn and put the pieces together by discovering and learning things throughout the game about Charles/ Zakharov's exploits and manipulation of you. Something you'd need to earn to unlock that ending of the game. You later rip him out and kill him and still go after Sechenov to settle things for good. It would be harder since we probably wouldn't have our elemental and polymer abilities, but it provides the player with a "ace in the hole" quest option (it would've been another clever nod to jack in bioshock too). Kinda like the don't fear the reaper final battle ending in cyberpunk 2077 where you choose the most difficult option to end the game.
Crispy critters!!!!! I really enjoyed the setting and the story. Did anyone notice the music that was seemingly close to the bioshock theme when you get dropped down to Rapture? As far as the ending is concerned...it reminded me of Total Recall (Arnold Schwarzenegger) when we don't know if it was real or if he was lobotomized. Sad, yet it made me think which I enjoy. I also don't understand the hate that this game received especially since we have all sadly signed away our privacy through app like the one I'm using to write this and others. I wish it was illegal. Thank you for the video explanation! Subbed.
I interpreted the ending, or more concretely the choice between two endings, a commentary/critique on Russian pragmatism. Don't get involved, upstream things will happen. I’m so baffled by people complaining about the ending lol this game ended fantastically
kind of has some parallels to vivy: flourite eyes song. definitely going to get this game despite not being a big fan of fps games. also that granny character seems hilariously badass.

you can turn the dialog in Russian and put the English subtitles from the main audio menu, I did I disliked the English voice but you are right is hard to read when there are action scenes...
Great video! Saved me from having to play the game lol. But this definitely set up for either DLC or a sequel no doubt, and if so hopefully they fix day one bugs/messes
the story is pretty good, the writers plant those seeds of doubt through the entire story, they put clues here and there the hands of Sergei in limbo were fluffy like Charles favorite fluffy creature
So, it obviously ends with a plan to make a sequel. I haven't played the 2 DLC's. But those don't look like they will finish this story. So is there plans for a sequel?
The story was confusing af and if they didn’t include important dialogue when doing things, then that would’ve been so much better. The Russian voice acting was great but it’s so hard for me to be able to read subtitles while in the middle of combat or just trying to immerse myself with the environment. The English dub sounds pretty bad. Not even sure why they all gave American accents. With that said, great video. Thanks for breaking it down. I lost a lot of info from playing in Russian
I feel like the story logic really fits more the western narrative, the Russians don't plot to destroy, that would be out of character. Conquering and absorbing - yes, defending - yes, plotting to rule the world or betraying - no. I think it's a misrepresentation. But I guess in a current political climate there was no other way to have this game published for the western markets. It's almost like we learn 70% of the story at the very last moment. Nevertheless, thanks for the story, I think it was really helpful and well-presented. I'm on the birch tree power-up quest now.
Interesting choice of plot and characters. I've heard the mechanics can be a bit touchy sometimes during game play. Cool story though, although the chatter between characters was bit much.
Crispy Critters, whatever that means, I played the game half way and dropped because I didn't like the game play and progression, it takes too much time until the game give you decent weapons and I hate the immortal drones everywere that always regenerate, I like games were you can clean one area or sector and explore all the details unbothered, so I came to your video to know the rest of the interesting story without having to deal with the frustrating gameplay.
Crispy critters! Why is nobody mentioning that the beta controller rings are a clear allusion to wedding rings and marriage? That by those rings two can be together and separate from the world? That Limbo is the idealised version of living a blissful (and presumably married) life with Katya? The story is crushing on an emotional level, the sense of loss is just brutal.
Watching this after beating the game and MAN the game sounds so much better in Russian. Especially Petrov, his barking and slimy voice added so much character to him compared to whatever this is haha. Incredible breakdown !
I just found the method of story telling to be really unecessarily complex... Like Charles would just tell you critical info at the most stupid of times
@@WizzoReal Yeah. I can see your point there. Though I suppose Charles could have been doing that on purpose given the ending. Some things did seem glossed over and not fully fleshed out as well, so I can see where it could be seen as convoluted at times. Thanks for the reply. You have a new sub for it.
"Everyone who gets an injection will be part of Koliektiv forever." Interesting... They started making this game in 2018? I wonder if this part of the plot was already set or if it came later, after certain world events transpired.
This ending actually infuriated me lol. Like all this just to lose? Why is the main character such a bone head idiot? Like I actually do my wanna play this game lol
I played it all the way up till I had to explore an office room. There was drawers everywhere and even with the fast search mechanic I could tell this was going to get annoying very fast so I just stopped playing it.
Remember everyone people in Ukraine want to ban this game apparently. Because it's really hurtful to ukrainians that this game exist so everyone you know what to do keep buying this game. Buy 50 to 60 copies and give them to your friends and tell them to buy two more copies and give them to their. Friends Hogwarts legacy 2.0.

Is it just me or is the lack of russian accents for the characters really distracting.
It’s like when I’m watching a Roman period piece and everyone talks like they apprenticed at the Shakespeare’s Globe…

I feel like the story logic really fits more the western narrative, the Russians don't plot to destroy, that would be out of character. Conquering and absorbing - yes, defending - yes, plotting to rule the world or betraying - no. I think it's a misrepresentation. Watching this after beating the game and MAN the game sounds so much better in Russian. Especially Petrov, his barking and slimy voice added so much character to him compared to whatever this is haha. Incredible breakdown !

Crispy Criders. When I beat the Atomic Heart it left me both shocked and confused . Screw you Charles
Crispy critters!!!
Crispy critters 😂😂😂
Atomic Heart doesn't have a complex storyline. It isn't that hard to follow in all honesty. That said, this was a good video all the same.
You have a new sub for it.
please add subtitles and punctuation
For deaf viewers like me, you know the subtitles generated by youtube sometimes have wrong sentences :)
I suppose I could upload my scripts as captions! Let me look into it :)

"Everyone who gets an injection will be part of Koliektiv forever." Interesting... They started making this game in 2018? I wonder if this part of the plot was already set or if it came later, after certain world events transpired.
oh shit we got a "conspiracy theorist" over here
@@Slavic_Snake Oh shit, we got a 'coincidence theorist' over here winkyface emoji
Overcooked Minuscule creatures!
😂
This ending actually infuriated me lol. Like all this just to lose? Why is the main character such a bone head idiot? Like I actually do my wanna play this game lol

I want to now more about the chemical the nazis made in the backstory of this game
I don't understand your thinking 🤔
That's not how this works
You just giving money to developers and not to Russia
@@matgaw123 people on Twitter want to ban this game because it offended Ukrainian people because of Russia
First comment # I'm number one. Game looks good
Oh god, I’m sorry, but I can’t stand hearing this in English. It’s just wrong.
