- Chest Movement In Golf Swing ➜ Unlock Pro-Like Consistency
In this video, I'll show you the proper chest movement in golf swing helping you create your own perfect golf swing. The chest in the golf swing guides the way to a better golf swing. When moved correctly, it keeps you on plane, in posture and creates better body positions throughout the golf swing.
This body movement in golf swing applies to all golfers regardless of whether you're a high or low handicap golfer. If you're struggling to stay in posture or keep your golf swing on plane, the chest movement could be the issue. Practice these moves at home first and slowly work your way up to hitting small shots at the golf driving range. Enjoy the feeling of shooting lower scores at your next round.

Good video on proper chest movement in backswing and downswing.
Thanks Harold, appreciate it.
Great lesson thanks.
Thanks Harold, appreciate it
You always offer the best advice! Can't wait to put this into practice!
Thank you very much, glad it helped. Cheers
Loving the advice. thanks for sharing
Thanks coach, appreciate it.
probably your best vid to date ...since I started wearing glasses, I lose a clear sight of the ball at the top of my backswing ...by maintaining the angles / tilts etc in my downswing and trusting the pure geometry of the process, I gain confidence that the clubhead will return to ball even tho I've lost sight of it
Thank you, yes the angles and tilts are so important. Cheers
Very valuable. Thank you so much.
Thanks, appreciate it
Great video! Thanks! The only problem with my chest rotaion in the downswing is I pull the ball. Sny solution to the pulls??? Thanks!
Thanks Greg, it could be a number of things. Chest rotating too fast, club coming down too steep or even too strong a grip shutting the clubface at impact.
Hi Troy hope all well...You are really a great teacher. I used to use my hips (more leading left hip) in downswing. Yes, overall good results, but these are the problems: left shoulder goes earlier up and even slight extension of the body. Also after impact, I should rotate more but alone the hip turn is not enough. I do not do hip bump and no hanging back, but still I feel when I use my chest (like you showed here) I have better results...Ideally, I could use both but one at a time ...I would like to hear your thoughts so that I can do the move better....Also lateral leading hip move or leaning in to the left side do and did not work for me. Thank you so much.
Hello, feel like your left knee external rotates a bit more in the downswing. I find what works well for me is when I get the lead knee to get slightly outside the lead foot i.e. the squat position. This helps eliminate early extension as well. Give that a try. Cheers
Gary player teaches focusing on this exact motion as the foundation for a consistent swing and it definitely helps a tonne in keeping relaxed throught the swing and allows a more natural flow to your swing. Would you also say it allows the wrists to hinge and unhinge naturally?
Thanks Steve, yes I think it definitely helps with the naturally hinging of the wrists as well. Cheers
Nice one! I also see players that keep some forward flexion in the backswing where the chest stays more downwards, I assume this is not the correct way. Especially with driver where the advice is to lean a bit away from target and the left shoulder is kind of higher it is easy remain in flexion in the backswing.
Thank you.
Troy, when I execute this I almost feel like my chest is slinging my arms back, then the chest leads the arms through. I sort of allow the club to hinge then un hinge on its own.
Chest then arms in both directions. Viable feel?
Yes, that’s a good feel to have Matthew
👍👍👍
Cheers!
Get your chest to the sky if you can. Feel vs real.
Yes, that helps
imho the hips lead the way ..not the chest
Definitely, the hips play a big role, I meant the chest can be used as a guide in helping you make a better golf swing.
