Not Yet in the CoP - Triple Twisting Double bwd Layout (WAG)

I’m happy that MAG starts rewarding those double or triple back skills. At least there’s a higher chance to see this skill in MAG.

I'm surprised that there are female gymnasts other than Jade Carey training it... this would be the hardest skill on floor

And as far as I know, Jade hasn’t trained it since 2021. She was gonna do it in Tokyo but my guess is she wasn’t hitting it well in the back gym and didn’t wanna risk injury or losing a medal. She has recently said in an interview that she will never compete this skill

You have to have a lot of power to get the height to do the triple twist layout.
Jade is not getting enough lift. You have two competing skills; flipping fully stretched & twisting while trying to maintain form.

Simone could probably do it but the only thing stopping her is power. She would put too much into it and over rotate. But maybe over rotate to a quad layout double hahaha 😆 😅😅😢

I wouldn't be surprised if Simone is actually secretly training the layout triple double. When she was doing her layout double double, she definitely had enough power to easily do a triple layed out, and her current tucked triple double is very open.

@@mitchcarbin481id rather see Jade do it, Simone has enough named skills in the COP

@@KeithRobbie113 it sucks because Jade already did it, but not in competition but she came so close as to do it in podium training. She barely landed it, and probably dropped it for consistency and injury concerns. I'd rather see Simone with another named skill than see Jade Carey get injured.

Please no. I hope Simone controls all the landings on floor because that can bring her floor score to 15 without any upgrade. Once she went OOB, her floor score dropped a lot.

@@cocoroni1031 I'm curious what will happen this Olympics. In the past she could afford those deductions on floor, but with so many other teams stepping up their game this cycle it might actually really cost team USA. Brazil is looking fierce!
