    All im gonna say is, Veterans should have held onto their resources. This was its first implementation with a not that great ship.
    Never take the first offer given. Thats the first rule in any exchange.

    Da Fresh potato. The voice of reason. Perfectly explained bro. Anybody who sees this can calm down now. From what I can tell (depending on who you watch also) it’s not all that good of a ship anyway. Not worth stressing out over. I’m pretty sure I could take that out in my hipper easily. ✌🏽
    PS, so we probably won’t be seeing that many of them out there and when we do, guess who will be massively focused. Not us because we don’t have one of those bullet magnets. 😂

    100% agree about communicating better. The idea of it is great. But they could've avoided the uproar if they would've just said in the patch notes, "Please note that this is for the long-time dedicated players that have excessive amounts of resources."

      They did say that. The amount is absurd, even for WG.

    Been playing from the start, 15k battles and got pretty much every tech tree, campaign ships, a whole bunch of premium ships, upgraded all of them and got many captains on 16-3 and some fully upgraded .... i can only unlock about halfway. You have to be really addicted to unlock the whole thing.

      Wow... I think wargaming needs to loosen up on the requirements.

    I like your "free for 5yr players" idea Fresh. Schill's a pretty good ship but for what it costs it should be better

    Great video like always, people are crazy for whaling this ship with $. I have zero desire to get this ship as newer player. WG let people get BA Montana as a consolation if you can't get Schill, in my opinion. WG should have done a better job in terms of communicating the cost of this ship and allowed people to use Elite XP.

    The crafting station itself makes sense, but the prices are ridiculous. Played the game for 4+ years, and had built up (what I thought to be) a huge pile of POs over the years. It'd barely dent this.
    Oh, and looky here. Get halfway, and they give you three whole Insignias. Wow. Never mind that I get that from pretty much every second or third crate these days. 700 camo might sound like a lot, until you realize that this is about what you'd need to fully Perma-cam exactly ONE ship.
    A ship called the "Schill" as the Big Prize.. Bringing me straight to the word 'Shill'. I am unsure if WG was being mind-blowingly clueless, openly snarky or what with that name choice

    I've been playing for 5 years consistently.I have the resources to get the ship. Still feel like it's not a good trade. On the fence about picking it up. They need to set the crafting station to trade out promotion orders for insignias. Things like this are a little more useful.

    Only try to realize the truth. There is no spoon.... err, crafting station :)
    In terms of actual dollar cost, you're over-estimating it. Granted, it's still an absolutely absurd price tag, but if you assume you're just going to straight up buy the resources to pick up this ship, that means either buying the premium days or buying doubloons and converting them to silver. You could also convert elite XP to global XP
    Buying 3000 premium days means you need 8 of the 360 day packs and 1 of the 120 day packs. This will set you back a total of 189000 doubloons. 47000 doubloons costs $150. You'll need 4 of those, plus a 1250 bundle... all in you're about $610 (plus taxes if applicable).
    Buying the silver is even worse. You need 400,000,000 silver. Conversion rate is 1 doubloon to 1500 silver. You'll need 266,667 doubloons. That's 5 of the 47000 bundles, 1 of the 30000 bundles and one of the 2750 bundles. All in that's $710 (plus any applicable taxes).
    Conversion of EXP to GXP falls in between the other two at around $650... but I figure if you've got 5 million elite XP to convert to GXP... well, you've been playing long enough to have stockpiles of other resources.
    You can't just buy promotion orders, so no way to wallet warrior it.
    Anyway, total cost to outright buy this ship is anywhere from about $600 - $700. Which is just plain nuts.

    It wouldn't matter how loud or how much wargaming says it'd for veteran players they could shake and scream in every players face and players would still be upset and not understand why it's so expensive when it is free for those real veteran players. I have been playing off and on since release and I'm not technically a veteran only just experienced. That's half the problem people thing time alone makes you a veteran when that's only part of it

  • @sheyrd7778

    I am one of those players with excessive amounts of credits. I can purchase the Schill for 400 million credits. But I do not feel the Schill is worth that much.

    I have the early adopter flag...you only have this by starting the game within the first month of release, I cannot afford this @ 12k battles*

      @jcook899 2 місяці тому +1

      I think this is the problem with this whole thing. It's a great idea but fact that so many veteran players get cut out makes no sense why keep it so exclusive due to the scale of insane requirements. Why not let people use other accumulated resources like elite XP.

    It makes total sense for the whales to dump their cash into, or all the crap they've built up by pouring money into the game for years.

    The crafting station isn't for veteran players it's for wallet warriors or people who have been hoarding resources instead of getting things already in the game. The main controversy is real long time players feeling like their veteran status is under attack because they can't afford this. This is not for veterans, it's for whales of varied experience levels

    • @VazzVegas
      @VazzVegas Місяць тому

      I disagree. I've been playing this game since 2020 and have spent a little on it (maybe $200-300 since then) and only had 40 premium days, so not a whale. But I was easily able to afford this due to the 2500 promotion orders that i had sitting around doing nothing. Plus 1 Mil GXP. Plus 100K+ Credits. All doing nothing! Everything in this game is implemented with new players in mind but finally this is something for the vets. Fresh Potato explained it perfectly.

    • @liamobrien-ib1rd
      @liamobrien-ib1rd Місяць тому

      @@VazzVegasyou can disagree if you want but you've kind of just proven my point. $200-300 is nearly twice the price of a modern triple A game title so like it or not mate, you're a whale. Congrats on being able to afford it though I hope Schill performs well for you

    • @VazzVegas
      @VazzVegas Місяць тому

      @@liamobrien-ib1rd $200-300 not at once. Over the course of 4 years. That's like $50-75 bucks a year. Also that's $CAD, so really not much. Whales are dropping USD $500 every time a new crate is released and have 5000+ premium days saved up because of it. Like it or not, you don't know what a whale in this game is.

    • @liamobrien-ib1rd
      @liamobrien-ib1rd Місяць тому +1

      @@VazzVegas well I deal in an even weaker currency than Canadian dollars so than $200-300 is at the very least double the price. It's a free to play game so some people you ask will tell you a whale is anyone that spends money on the game. The most realistic interpretation is that a whale is someone who spends a larger amount of money on this free to play game than they would for a paid game of similar or greater development quality. Not every whale drops half a grand every month just like not every long time player spends more than 10 hours a month playing the game but alas my point still stands "the schill isn't available to every veteran player but it is within reach for any whale regardless of experience". I'm not trying to shit on people who spend money on the game cause they're the reason I can still play it, i'm just trying to pull the mask back on WG's marketing tactic so that people don't feel compelled to waste their money

    Those people are spending money to have that much resources. Its there own money that they throw away and complain about it. Sorry i have played for 5 years but i never bought these rip offs on ships ive only baught campaign and working on tech tree ships. This system is a scam. Its content that is locked away from everyone else.

    If ya want to reward players with excessive resources then let them convert into insignias accommodations taking a ship out of the hands of 95 percent of the playerbase and who also contribute to keeping the lights on is pretty fucked... crafting station is a dangerous slope so whats next the kremlin hindenburg.... oh sorry your not veteran enough.
