Great reaction. This may have already been said, but I think it is worth repeating. As they toured the world they realised their fans must have been learning Japanese so they could sing along with them. In return and as a mark of their love and respect for the fans they challenged themselves to learn a complete song in English. 'The One' is that song. This video has the half and half English-Japanese version that was on the Japanese release of the album, the full English version was on the international release and being the official video it used the studio audio over the live footage. The song is dedicated to their fans (also The One of course) and is effectively their love letter to them. They wanted to fly over the fans so they could get as close to the people right at the back of the arena as possible - they feel sorry for them being so far from the stage in these big venues and arenas. The height didn't bother them, I think it was Yui who said the hardest thing was to follow the choreo and not to just wave at the people below and Moa said she couldn't look down too much for fear of her tears of happiness falling onto the fans. In most live shows now if they play 'The One' they start with the 'unfinished' or acoustic version (just Su accompanied by piano) and the Kami Band comes in with Moa and the chosen Avenger about half way through to finish it as the full version - and more often than not it is the full English version too.
This video always makes me very emotional. The motivation behind it (that Safri Saleh already explained) is heartwarming already, and this performance fits that whole vibe perfectly. Just from watching, you can feel the love encompassing the whole arena. It’s such a perfect moment, I wish I had been there.
Nice reaction, thanks! Most of the visuals from this music video are from the song's live premiere at the Yokokama Arena in December 2015. And unlike the Budokan shows in 2014, this scene was all about safety first: on-board that pyramid we have: railings, a lifeline (they were probably wearing climbing harnesses) and even Su's mic has a wristband safety cord.
Great & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Some people said "The One" was a little bit too repetitive. But in their live performance you feel as if the length of this song were only 30 seconds and want to listen to it forever. I witnessed it total 10 times at venues. Whenever they performed this song, I saw divine beauty and heard angelic voices. Grington300 300 kindly explained below the reason why this version was a half English and there was another full English version. If you want to see full-English version and Su's beautiful performance, please find a video uploaded by Eevee Martinez with keywords "babymetal 2019 one Philadelphia".
Dual guitar intro, who does not love that. Here is a girl from Japan who learns to speak English for her fans!!! I mean what's not to love about BABYMETAL....... Who waits with prudence Who will be rewarded at the right time Now the waiting has an end Lending your ear to a legend ( SU-METAL ) BABYMETAL 4 LIFE...
This is epic but my favourite version is Toyko Dome that one will make you Gasp in Astonishment . It was was a longer song but made into two was played back to back at Toyko Dome only time played . Tales of the Destiny's ( prog rock song ) which blends into the One . Could definitely see you enjoyed that version though great reaction . 🤘🦊🤘😁❤
Honestly, I had never encountered a Band or Artist that can elicit such emotion in me until I discovered Babymetal. Thank you for reacting to this absolutely beautiful song. 🦊🤘🔥❤️
How can you explain the Voice of a Goddess . Moa said in interview along the lines of When Su sings it's like a Goddess come down to Earth or something like that 😁🤘🦊🤘❤❤
Nice reaction. They really thought a lot about the song and the performance of it. They did it in English to reach out to their non-Japanese speaking fans. The performance they did the same as the lift themselves out over the crowd so they could be close to them. They even raised them up so even the folks in the upper decks could see them up close. I think it was Yui who said that the hardest part was to keep doing the choreography when she wanted to just wave to everyone. You know the crowds were calling their names as they passed by. They're such pro's they did what the job asked them to do. I'm weak I would have waved. We also learned that they're not afraid of heights. I wonder how many times they practiced that. I would love to see footage of that.
BABYMETAL is like a magical box that you'll open to endless surprise, everything can be so different with them If you like instrumental intro I have some recommendations for you (look for videos with 'Kami band intro'): - YAVA - very very fast and catchy song, I think you might love it - Kagerou - Their newer performance, will show you the elegant, mature side of Babymetal, this time we have a different Kami band from the West but they're phenomental nonetheless - Rondo of Nightmare (probably Babymetal darkest song, heavy and is a Su-metal solo when other two taking a break) Other than that I HIGHLY recommend Syncopation - one of their best but rarely played song, the guitar and bass in this is so addictive, Megitsune - a classic - the quintessential Babymetal song about women empowerment, Ijime Dame Zettai - another classic Babymetal song, the best song about anti-bullying. And if you like something cuteness overload you can check Onedari Daisakusen, Kimi no Anime ga mitai, IINE and Doki Doki Morning (this is the first Babymetal song aswell)

THE ONE:-
This song was dedicated to the fans of Babymetal, referred to them as "THE ONE". As Babymetal performed all over the world, Su-Metal notice that the fans sang Babymetal songs in Japanese eventhough they don't understand Japanese. So this songs was composed specifically for the fans especially the non-Japanese speaking fans. Not every band took the time and effort to compose a song just for the fans thus making Babymetal special.
