You can leave the engine cover off when driving so that will bring the bonnet down flush. Only need the cover on when showing it off.

Mid 80s my three brothers and i travelled to Canberra to have a look,i think it was called street machine nationals back then and it was grouse ,we went a couple years ago and SWORE ill never ever go back again ,yeah ive aged and matured sure i get it but theres an element there that dont give a rats clacker about the cars they just want to cause chaos in all sorts of ways ,amazed nobody was killed with some of the behaviour ,maybe im just turning into a grumpy ol man ,stay safe i hope you have a good time mate
