Man, thank you for the time, sweat, and effort that you put into making these videos. This single video has saved me some trouble going forward. Your work is appreciated greatly! Good Job, I'm sure your brother would be proud!
Thanks soo much for this video. We've rebuilt the front end except for the pitman arm and our health gave out. The garage has tore everything up we did and they had taken it to get aligned 7 times without asking us and then we took it to another mechanic who can't figure out what they did. Now we can't remember where everything goes in the right way. Messed the camber and castor up. Can't get aligned anywhere. I need pictures of the drivers side and the passenger side sway bar links also

I want to rebuild the front end on my 1992 Ford E150 van and I have used pickle Forks before their a wonderful tool. I just hope I can get the van in the garage maybe I'll have to take the rack off and the top and the dome for the vent fan I made it into a camper with solar panels on the rack so some disassembly may be required just to get it in the garage. I don't have any concrete outside and I don't want to do it in the dirt
I've got a lot of old car projects over here I need to work on but I think once I'm done with this Tahoe my next move is to get a car lift over here some how. Laying on the ground & working on rides sitting on Jack stands makes jobs 50% harder the 115° heat makes up the other 50%🥵... Thanks 4Watching
Brodie ! Help. This the best video and ur the most understanding. I followed everything u did. I’m on driver side rn. I’m stuck on the bolts of the control arms. They won’t come out even on jack. And the stabilizer link, how did u get in at that angle. Literally all I have left !!!!
5:20 mark in the video is where I start to unbolt the control arms but once the nuts are off & its been jacked up so the pressure off the bolts can be pushed out with a smaller bolt & hammer from the nut side or pulled out from the head side with vice grips
Im gonna soak them again. I think I’m gonna try a jack hammer and a torch the arm between the brackets. I only got one bolt off, the rear upper arm bolt. The lower arm two bolts and the upper arm front bolt are all siezed.
@@musasalh9893 i used 'rust free' penetrant oil and the c clamp did not work on my bushing so i pulled out the sledge. thanks ur the man. slowly watching more of your vids on the tahoe theyre awesome. im just waiting for new parts so in the meantime i will clean up the rusty and grab some miracle paint. cant wait to send u a picture
I'm not 100% sure but when it comes to OBS Chevy I think the 2wd & 4x4 frames are different. If you pull out both cv axels out the front your 4x4 will not work but that won't help you if you want a 2wd to lower it & lay frame
@@100SpokeRiderz I also need to change the door pin bushings and I called the dealer they discontinued the door pin bushings and lower control arms so your help would be very appreciated for the lower control arm bushings

Just found this build. Awesome. Wish I could give you a million views!
Its been a epic journey with my Tahoe but its getting there one piece at a time.... Thanks 4Watching
Thanks for the video. I found it while searching for answers to why suspension on my 01 handles so bad. nice 2 door Tahoe.
Most these GM Trucks & SUV's thats been on the road 20+ years needs to have the wore out suspension & brake parts replaced....Thanks 4Watching

Thanks for this , this gives me a starting point to start the 2wd conversion, do you know what else I need to do to complete the project

So u took the struts out first then huh?
Yes shocks come off first
This is for a 4x4 Chevy Tahoe right ?
Where can I buy new lower control arms for my 99 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 apparently they don’t got them anywhere
I couldn't find any either thats why I just put new bushings & ball joins on all my stock arm then painted them black so they look brand new
Hello thanks for the video !! Where did you find the bushings ? Do you have a part number or link to make sure i get ones that fit?
