    This video is too good on so many levels. The footage of the drone scenery. The footage of the Jeeps wheeling. The quality of the narration. The interviews of the participants who had compelling things to say. It all juxtaposed and flowed so well. thank you for making this.

    @NotaRubicon Productions Holy crap.. this production is so well done. Camaraderie galore- good folks. Beautiful and exciting scenery. Some of those trails are really scary, steep and farrrrssss up and down. Came here from your most excellent radio vids (noob looking to get into gmrs). Enjoy your logical, comical, no nonsense and REAL delivery of much needed info. Listening to you tell it like it is can be therapeutic. Thanks for that. Having the courage to admit some of these trails were above your level just demonstrates that you know who you are, don't need to impress or fool anyone and, honestly, just adds to your credibility. Need more of this in the world. Great work.

    First time I went to Moab I was 16 (25 years ago) and had an old chevy stepside. It happened to be Easter Jeep Safari. We watched people going up and down Lions Back and it was incredible. By accident, we ended up going onto Hell's Revenge and did the whole trail. I've been addicted to Moab and offroading ever since. This place is really special to me and I love that I can get to it within a few hours whenever I want. Awesome job on the filming! You definitely did it justice.

    I typically watch your GMRS and communication videos, whch are usually static shots of you behind a desk or of the equipment you are 'splainin', but the production quality of these videos is ridiculously impressive and offensively well put together... Im jealous. In Florida, the terrain, if you can really even call it that, is only broken up by the occasional speed bump in obnoxious HOA communities, lol. Cool stuff, man!

I'm not a spiritual kind of person but that place is spiritual. I've done all the trails in your video except for Poison Spider. As a native born Utahn I will not answer your question about cost but instead suggest that a stock Jeep Wrangler on 33's should be able to handle these trails. The trails change according to season and time of year, of course. My suggestion would be to rent a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon when you get to Moab. Rubicon because it has lockers and slightly better 'stuff'. I know, I know, "Rubicon or not a Rubicon". Hope to see you on the trails.

    I hadn't watched any of your, Jeep, excursions. You've done an incredibly beautiful job. It couldn't be more perfect. The shots. The clarity. The vistas. The saturation. The colors. The exposures. The look. The feel. The sound.. The Music track. Oh my goodness. No stupid Electronica computer-generated rock bullshit. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You've got some class. You've taken some classes. How erudite and intellectual of you. I didn't expect this from a Jeeper. They are usually associated with mindless computer-generated garbage audio tracks.
    You give us pause to ponder your motives. Slathering us with a fine arts quality soundtrack. How bombastic of you Randy. What are you trying to prove here? That you can play French Horn on a Jeep? How about a portable harpsichord? Didn't you know all harpsichord's were portable? Before the invented those heavy pianos that required V-8 engines to move them. And that was the end of the, Baroque Jeep, period. As these newfangled contraptions are definitely not, CJ-2's. These are 4 Wheel Drive, Fiat's! These aren't real jeeps! That was just a cartoon character!
    What the hell are you trying to sell us, Randy-O? I mean Mr. Brown. That's why you are Brown. You spend too much time outdoors in the sun. You are getting Oxidized. And Solar Eyes' d. You're going to get Cataracts! Then an, Opto-Molar just, will cut out your lenses. From your ocular water sacs. As they are not Squishy. They bounce. When they pop out of your sockets. Rolling down a tall rocky hill. They have a tendency to fly out of your cranial sockets. So hold onto them. And if you see a fork in the road. Take it. And any knives or spoons you can find. You will not find a, colander. You will find a calendar, instead. I don't know how that happened? But you can write your Congressman about that. They will consult with Jesus and Xenu. And tell you, No. You could not have an, Abortion nor Fiat Jeep. As they are the same. You will have to get a Peugeot. To achieve Equilibrium. And to catch up with that, Tesla. Orbiting our solar system. A Jeep can't do that. I'm sorry to inform you of. Because it is not electric. And the Cosmos is Mostly, Electric. In case you hadn't noticed? There is no gas stations. Except for, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and some guy named Neptune. They are gas stations. But are difficult to fill up from. So avoid them at all costs! And go take a flying FUCK at their moons. Instead. I would recommend.
    I drove a, Jeep 1962, CJ-2. With those big huge bouncy, Tires. Up-and-down, I-95. Between Baltimore and Washington DC rather regularly. Without a top. Sometimes it rained. It was not fun! As you could see my nipples through my blouse. Because I didn't wear a brassiere. Like you. I know that becomes a problem at your age Randy-O. Rand-O. Rands…… On gasoline. For a Jeep. It does not run on Methane! So stop trying to fill up your Jeep on those planets! It'll blow the engine! And then you will be stuck. Somewhere around Jupiter. It happened to Dave. And he had to turn off the Jeep's, computer. And then he got stuck. So do not do that! By the time you got home he was like a Baby!
    I'm so glad we had this intimate conversation.

      @TheNotaRubicon  4 роки тому +1

      The blue 4-Door and green 2-door Jeep have pretty much your exact setup -2.5" lift, 35" tires, and no lockers, and as you can see in the video they did great. Because the "slickrock" on many of the Moab trails is so 'grippy' on tires, lockers are not required.

    Randy, your video has convinced me. 29:47 I must go see for myself. I will be passing through the area around October 12th in a 30 foot RV. So the interesting question becomes: How close can I get to the overlook in my RV? Within hiking distance or do I need to rent a jeep? Looks like I can make it at least to Cowskin Campground 38.7850, -109.26324 Since I will be approaching from the East I can pass through the area and check it out and then continue into Moab to rent a jeep if necessary. Wonder if I will need a jeep reservation on a wednesday in October or if I can just show up and start throwing credit cards around.

    • @TheNotaRubicon

      @@TheNotaRubicon It would be fun to cross paths with Dave and say hello but only if its convenient for him of course. With my luck he will be leaving in the morning of the same day I get there in the evening. I need to review my GMRS mobile radio equipment to make sure its ready to put in a rental jeep. Since I'm such a hopeless radio nerd it would also be fun to talk to Dave on GMRS while he is trucking up the poisen spider trail (portal overlook) and I'm sitting at the top of the world overlook. I believe they are about 25 miles apart across the valley.

      @@wwilson804 My son drove his stock 2019 Jeep JL Sport on these trails last year and did fine. He proudly displays his Jeep BoH badges on his ride. Of course he has been with our family on these trails many times over his growing-up years. Like Randy was saying 75% of the success on these Moab BoH trails is the carbon unit behind the wheel. The remaining 25% of success is due to the silicon that Jeep et al packaged into your Jeep. Hope to see you out there.

      Moab is about 4-1/2 to 5 hours SouthEast of SLC.

      Your better off to have a stick so you can choose your wheel speed without shifting gears

    I've never been to Moab but planing to go within the a month. Suggestion....When making a video like this could you also let the viewers know if there is a bypass at the harder obstacles. I have a 94 ZJ. I have great ground clearance with 32x11.50 tires and no lockers. (yet) This was a great video and Moab is a beautiful place...

    Randy Brown, are you related to the Brown family of San Clemente California? The same Brown family that filmed On Any Sunday, and Dust to Glory? Cuz this video has that feel.
