Very smart parents to homeschool your kiddos.
@0:47 Homeschooling is the best! It's clearly evident, Ken, that your kids obviously have a very good work ethic. Lol...I say it the same way, my wife and I homeschooled, meaning my wife, she did the hard work, I was just the enforcer. Now I think I'm going to go play with fire, this was a very inspiring video.
Family time is precious. Everyone together for a good meal. And Love and caring and memorable times.
Yum to everything 👍Have a wonderful day everyone
As someone who is no stranger to rough times I can only wish this family splendor and prosperity. I hope they continue to make a positive difference upon their viewers and community.
You all now how to work hard and eat well. Family unity is such a wonderful thing😊
What beautiful hard working family
I could smell those burgers from here in TN. 😂
Home school! And it shows with the super sharp girls! Good for you! I’m an X school board member but I believe in charter schools and home schooling! I’m sure your real proud of the son and the girls! ❤️👍
You are a very talented family, God bless😊😊
Remembering holiday bbq's and family and friends gathering to celebrate. Good memories. Bon apetite.
Lovely family moment.
Proof that home schooling is a really good thing!
You folks certainly know a lot about how to live. Great food, family, occupation, work ethics, and an awesome place to be on a day off. That meal looked absolutely delicious!
There is nothing better than a home cooked meal with quality unadulterated God given ingredients.
I had no idea Lumber Capital Log Yard had layers LOL.... This is awesome. Thankyou for sharing your time with us all. I live South of Williamsport and pass that way as a local trucker. Keep up the good work and Happy Labor Day.
Those burgers are raw!!!!!!! Not even warm? Love your videos, family and property! Beautiful as always
I love watching you guys all the way from Poland. Super
Enjoyed your video. It's so refeshing now a days to see the family unit as I believe it should be and I remember it being while growing up. A very positive parental influence which appears to be paying off. Sincerest thanks.
I grill every day out side even in snow don't stop me thumbs up to you great ladies and men who posted this video
Your dad did a great job cooking and explaining what he was doing! As I was watching the video I was thinking, besides helping prepare a tasty meal, Dads and moms have a lot of responsibility in raising a family making sure everyone is taken care of, kids are properly taught the right morals, educated and learn responsibility. They also have provide financially to put a roof over everyone’s head, food on the table and other needs are taken care. The hard part as I see it is maintaining financial income and solvency. You cookout seems to serve as a great example how all of this comes together. Kudos to all of you!!! Now I want a burger!!😋
Owright boss ,enjoys your yummmy 😊👌 grilled corn meal 😘👌👌👌👌👌
Yum Yum!! Looks real good Boss.
Always enjoyable , thank you.
Hello "Boss." You celebrate the fine BBQ-Cooking on a high level. (Over 40 years a go, I was the Swiss Ambassadors Chef in Washington D.C. and member of the American Chef`s association) It was a very good time. I remember some times work in the garden at the White House under Presidents J. Carter & R. Reagan. 😊
It's a good thing you guys live out in the country, or the awesome smell of the BBQ would attract your neighbours over for a visit every suppertime!
I always enjoy your cooking segments.
I don't fire up the grill when it's hot either. Looking forward to fall.
Looks like the burgers are still alive. Like the idea though. Corn looks great !! Side dishes ............. Yum Yum. !!
Burgers that are still alive taste the best
Fantastic to see videos other than work every now and again ❤
Thanks for sharing such a delicious Labor Day Cookout with all your fans.
Looks great. We usually soak the corn in water for a few hours and put directly over coals. That process actually causes the silk to pretty much wipe right off. Then add butter salt pepper etc. and throw on grill until slightly charred . Summer sweet corn perfection.
Happy holiday!
Very good Video 👍 👍
Everything looks Great and yummy!
can't wait till next time.
Fantastic video of the family bbq. 👍💯
Very informative. I like the idea of flavour transfer by the wood plank
Do you know where baby corn comes from?...... The stalk brings them.
Thanks for sharing your "Life, Liberty and [personal] pursuit of Happiness"! Very inspirational and relaxing!
All I can say is ooooh.Wish I was invited!!!
Looks yummy mmmmm
Awesomeness Thank You For All You Do 🌲🪵🔥🇺🇸
You are really open to new ideas. I love this one.
Yummy
I always enjoy the barbque vidoes as it's almost like your family sharing a meal with mine. My wife and I watched this together and she noted that this is the way my family has done corn for years . We would put potatoes in foil and drop them into the coals of a campfire and when almost done put our corn on the grill over the fire to cook ( corn had been soaked not peeled for several hours ) and was only peeled when served to eat, butter brushed on along with salt and pepper ( I love the idea of garlic and cheese tho. Our burgers were also cooked on the grill of the campfire. Let me tell you these are the memories of my childhood I will never forget and I'm sure Emerald, Jade and Judah will hold these memories for life. Thank you for sharing with us.
👍
Excellent! Happy Labour Day, Cheers!
Hey! That's a nice looking grill there! I like a lot!!! I need a new one...Lol
Can't say enough about how y'all are living life. Your comment about y'all home schooling the girls sure goes a long way in explaining your daughter's personalities and attitudes. It is a continuing pleasure to be able and watch all of you go about your lives & work. The content of all the videos is real and down home. Now, back to the cooking. I first started helping out at the country barbeques back in the early 1950s in West Texas town of San Angelo. I started with building the fires and helping with the mesquite wood. I watched the pit masters and learned how they did their craft. It has been a life long habit. Your right about the heat screwing up outdoor cooking. I'm down here in Old Town Spring Texas! But I've made a note about that cherry wood plank burger and will try it.
Thank y'all for the food fun.
Em & Jade clean up nice. Very simple yet stylish. Lol God bless and take care.
I think u all for bringing this into my micro home. I can appreciate cooking like this.
In San Antonio Texas it has been HOT for 2 months straight. It raind few days ago Cooling us off. U can cook, I start at 4:30 A at 5:00 A the mesquite log is coal ready to cook with. Being so hot I do a quick smoke. Just about 3 & a half hour smoke side skirt. If ground beef 3 hours, never smoke in the evening it is better to start early morning.
This is the better side of the UA-cam show. I love to home cook from scratch. Even better when u have family to do so. I remember how that is. I love Pappas grill it is like no other it's fancy high end. How he moves the coal + the wood planks I Never Seen That Even. So he knows a thing ot 2 about a thing or 2..
Afew people I live next to never heard of smoking to cook food. They grill 20 minutes done. Heck I may as cook on the oven. I cook in the smoker for flavor ill wait 4 hours. I'll make homemade waffles from scratch with a fruit cup slapped with whipped cream. That way, I can hold off. Excuse me typing if it doesn't sound smart.
I enjoy these recordings would like to see more. Peace from Texas
Can't think of a family more deserving of a Labor Day cookout.
Looks fantastic.
Really enjoy the Holiday dinners. The harvest season brings in it's fruits to the BBQ and masterfully cooked to perfection. Love the video with the family enjoying a BBQ meal together.
The fit is a hit.
😊 oh yeah!
Looks like some good grub.
Garlic butter sauce with lime & maybe a sprinkle of cheese if i seen it correctly.
Big burgers for sure..
Happy day everyone..😊😊
Don't know what else to say besides, WOW... perfectly delicious looking
Ken, Charlotte and the Piedmont of North Carolina have plenty of Cedar trees, BUT we do not have those great Cherry Trees. Good job, Boss, giving Terry the credit! I am so hungry and watching Jade and Judah prepare the corn increases the anticipation. Thanks for sharing and Em, great video work. A fine job Ken and Terry with la piece de resistance!
@@MorainStaria ALL the big UA-cam channels get plagued by these scams that they cannot totally keep off their channels. You have to learn to recognize them and never click on them. Sorry you clicked on it!!
Much love and respect for the family values represented..another great video
Boss is getting to be a natural in front of the camera and it seems you had six folks and 10 burgers I didn't get one 😁😋😆👌🐝
Hey Jade. Corn silk can be tedious to remove. I use a dry wash cloth to brush them off. Not perfect but helpful.
I'm hungry!
Wow.... A Great Relaxed presentation from the Boss & Excellent filming & editing. I really feel like I'm actually there. Thanks for the invite.
Very nice I’m hungry now
YUMMY!
OMG!😋 Ya'll got my mouth watering AGAIN!!❤🔥👌 A Happy and Blessed Labor Day to EVERYONE at The
Logyard!
There is nothing in life more awesome than this whole thing. Period.
Great video, as usual! A wonderful AMERICAN family!
Looks tasty!! Nice grill too!
Wow, yeah the barbecue videos are impressive.
Now I understand plank cooking and steamed corn thanks
Love the barbecue videos, they are perfect. Love seeing the girls doing stuff outside the Lumber Mill duties. Burger looked delicious.
I've got a Brinkmann grill that I've had for years. Unlike most grills, this one is made of much thicker steel and it holds and distributes heat wonderfully well. That said, y'alls grill is a work of art. Serious grill envy here.
You're putting on some fantastic chow here. Now I'm hungry and I just had breakfast.
Masterchef Ken. Grillmaster.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video, it looks so good.
Love this family..... Great video. Love the garlic butter/ cheese combo.
You really captured some beautiful moments with your family here. Thanks for sharing with us!
Grillin n Chillin awesome show.
Delicious food
You all eat like kings. Look so delicious.
Thank you so much for sharing your Labor Day meal with us. The food look delicious. I hope everyone at Lumber capital Log Yard had a wonderful Labor Day. Please stay safe and God Bless.
Thanks. Enjoyed that. I cook with wood almost exclusively with the grill. Probably been a couple two three years. I do use chunk hardwood charcoal to start the larger pieces as this speeds prep time but cooking is done over the coals from the larger sticks. I use what we have on site, mostly maple but also a variety of Prunus species to include plum and oak. There are some adolescent nut trees, so rarely is any available. I have yet to plank season meats but have used this method for firm fleshed fish. Tuna, Mahi Mahi and Salmon all of which are delightfully fatty which keeps the steaks from drying out or overcooking in that type of heat.
Wow! That looks really good! I never thought about using planks of wood to steam flavors like that before! I’m defiantly going to give that a try! Thanks for the tip!
Fantastic family cookout.
Hope you all enjoyed the day free of work.
Labor Day is uniquely yours .
Thank you for sharing
Looks so good. Thanks for sharing

man that smelled good.
Em hope yall have a good labor day!
Thank-you for the video even on a holiday weekend!!
Definitely going to give that a try. Looks delicious. 😋
@GIVEAWAY-152Why you misleading people?
I've been cooking sweet corn the way my adopted Mexican little sister and her mom and abuela do it. Shuck it, wrap it tightly in foil with a pat of butter, then grill them until the kernels start to brown on the inside (the browner the better). To serve, add more butter, then a sprinkle of Tajin (a seasoning with mild chili peppers, lime, and sea salt). Honestly, some of the time I won't add anything else to the corn, it comes out tender and sweet just on it's own.
If you want to get fancier, elevate it to elote and add a mayo/sour cream mix and hot sauce along with the cotija (or queso fresco) and fresh cilantro.
Though you can't knock grilling it right in the husk too!
awesome looks delicious thanks for sharing will have to give it a try yall be safe have a great rest of the week
Wow 😮 that looks amazing and thanks for sharing !!
