I can promise you. No one in the FDNY were failures on that day or well into the future. You were dealt an impossible mission under the worst conditions. You went. You worked your ass off and you tried. That is enough. 100x enough. In so many ways, you became the face of this attack because of the severity of the loss. I still to this day do not know how you manage that. I don't know how you handle the constant cameras in your face as you work day in and day out. As life went on, the biggest prayer that I held for all of you is peace within.

I cannot believe that Federal Government did not send us (as a fellow New Yorker that day) any further help, the Military, nothing?
They left it to local Firefighers and responders going through PTSD??!!!!
It's sad but true, and the way they have been treated since this day is disgusting.I was naive enough to expect these men and women to get the best health care in the greatest city in the world, but they we're just abandoned by the government.Shameful country.
There's that grand phrase - 'Lead, follow, or get out of the way' . . . any approach . . . may be your Gods send ! Life, can be unpredictable, unforseen . . . and potentially tragic ! One has no control . . . over these unknown, future events. All we have control over . . . (and, that could be debatable) . . . is the NOW ! Life is too short . . . 'Here today, gone tomorrow.' The best that any of us can attempt in accomplishing, is . . . 'Live today, as it is to be your last day . . . on this Earth ! 🇺🇸 ⛪ 🍇
