My whole theological understanding has been totally turned upside down. For so long my head and heart were at odds with one another...my journey as I seek Almighty God has brought me to a new understanding of the nature and character of God.
I always learned that Jesus was quoting the first line of Psalm 22 on the cross....the prophecy that he was, at that moment, fulfilling. Love this podcast. Thank you.
They talk about justice. But the DEFINITION of justice needs to be talked about. We think God's justice is retributive,like man's. It is not. That in no way contradicts love, but if he had any attribute of MAN'S justice, now we have a problem.
Gods life is love, Gods love is life . They are one and the same thing. Sin is a transgression against love therefor life , specifically the life of God so sin is a subtraction from life, Gods life, if God doesn't accept it the death comes out of our account and we've got no life in our account. God has accepted our deathing into himself tho and is willing to give us eternal life if we accept His union with us. Sounds just to me. Especially as we were created naked and that not of our own choice.
