If a team is doing a theme i’d assume that the coaches and whoever else have participation in that, but i’m just curious, for regular mixes, how much team participation goes into it? Or do they give the people creating it free to do anything and surprise them?
grenadejumper Yes, teams pay for a mix every season. Teams can recommend certain lyrics and voiceovers, but there’s no guarantee it goes into the mix. Patrick Avard and others come up with the whole mix with the help of their production team.
It wouldn’t be a bad idea to let the seniors come back another season to get their last comp in. Including all star and any form of competitive cheerleading, school (although, I believe school cheer comps have already passed), high-school-aged seniors, too. Or, since Varsity is extending this comp season as far out as summer to October, and rescheduling comps, why not reschedule Daytona? If it’s too hot to compete outside in the Florida heat in the summer, put it in a gymnasium instead of outdoors.
