Speaking of legacy 1.0, the tattoo isn't the only thing that carried over. Some of the old equipment can no longer be obtained (though you can get similar versions with new names in some cases). Still have my old Conjurer gear from back when 1.0 was around. Back then, dyed items had to be crafted a certain colour - they couldn't be dyed after the fact. Hence the legacy items cannot be dyed and are fixed at whatever colour they were before the realm was reborn.
Tbh Belt is not a real lost.. it was the only piece of gear you _never_ see on your character.. but yeah.. its annoying to lose your pants now all the time
Yeah belts where pretty lame only bieng accessory equivalent stats with a tiny bit more defence and no glam. I think losing belts for more weapon and ring space was a good tradeoff.

I think it would be pretty cool, if we had an event that forced us to go back in time and witness the events. Maybe throw a white raven battle at the end of it. I played 1.0 but stopped after the first or second patch, (there were quite a few) because it was an unplayable mess after playing both 11 and WoW. I heard it became almost playable by like 1.23 or so.
The honey bun is an unobtainable item. these were from a Ms. Freshleys promo during stormblood's release, they gave a 4% exp buff (was changed to 3% at endwalker)
I have both the Hermes Sandals and the Asuran Armguards. Those are no longer available and are from 1.0. The Hermes Sandals were a full time item to get around back then but now they're just kinda... There.
Funny how ff14 collect (website) show 0% ownership for that mount even if i have seen the people from the feast season 20 top 100 list still play ff14 😂

As someone else said in the comments, I forgot that belts used to be a thing if I can be honest with you. Plus side is that it's one less item to get. I just wish that the items that gives tattoos when you wear them, change based on what race your character is. Being a AuRa, specfically a Xalea, you can't really see them when said tattoos are on the scales.

More facial hair, longer hairstyles....I wish for at least a seperate category for makeup, muscles sliders because I want to be more slimmer and if not a slider how about implementing the ability to select a body type then!?

Adding extra things to customize your character more would only improve the game. I mean look at how excited ppl were with two dye channels and the glasses slot for glam. Hi as someone wo participated since season 2 til season 13(where i finally got someting lol) i feel like the win trading notion was heavily exaggerated, at least in solo season. Since the pool of players getting matched up decreases when ranking up, people notice match up patterns. Most people want to win themself and getting a consistent "benefactor" raking along with you beyond gold promo is highly unlikely. I know it sounds ridicules but actually learning the behavior of other solo queue regulars to work together(even if the person hates you cause you made a mistake) is quite fun. Altho i do admit there was definatly some foul play during the shadowstalker season. I havent played feast in shadowbringers but seeing the some bald rogadyn on multiple leaderboards was something at least.
i was friends with a guy that was a regular top 100 player right up until they nuked the feast and we looked at top 100 on each dc and he went down the line like 'wintrader, wintrader, sells carries, wintrades and sells carries, rank 1s alt, rank 10s alt) it wasn't ALL of them but a noticeable amount yeah. he wasn't a wintrader himself but he did sell carries(idk about top 100 or just crystal rank)

Also, since the Weapons minions are tied to Series, the only one I got was Ruby, never put the time working on the other ones.

Element Materia, just a nostalgia item now... but can still be bought and sold via the Market Board. Players still buy these even though they're not obtained via drop/reward and are not useful in game.
Feast sets, mounts, and trophies should come back for Trophies / Wolf Marks. Malmstone rewards were promised to come back and haven't. Legacy accounts are just lucky. There were a ton of issues with account linking. I, like a few I've seen, lost our legacy accounts due to Square Enix BAD website.
Don’t forget, the reason we will never get Hancock glasses (besides the stupid fashion accessory version) is because it was a 1.0 item called “Dated Weathered Spectacles”. Really dumb that such a basic generic thing is just off limits forever because there happened to be a legacy item
looking at how amazing the fashion is in this game and the vast options you could gain with belts, i never understood how everything else is visible, including rings, but not belts?? why didnt they make belts visually appearing???
Oh there's more stuff than the moogle legacy players have access to. We have a whole slew of equipment that can be equipped on all jobs, but their ARR counter part were made into a disciple of war or magic type. Think of a blm wearing a full heavy armor set or a war wearing a full magic set. The 1.0 goobue is a mount that not even all legacy players own. It was only available for a few months.
You forgot the "Dated" gear sets. Any gear that was left over from 1.0 was kept intact. These gear sets actually break the class restriction rule, and any class can wear them. These include full tank sets, caster sets, and healer sets that any class can wear.

the 1.0 version had another mount a gobbue that is not available anymore too. only player of the 1.0 have it. sad, but later they have added a few other gobbue type.
There's about a dozen pieces of unique gear models that have a tattoo/tattoos are part of them. If tattoos were options in character creation, the armor would overwrite them.

Belts were invisible on FFXIV anyway, but yes I get the joke 😂. Neverwinter for whatever reason only the buckle of the belts are visible. Never knew about those badass PvP armor sets, I hate the FFXIV PvP cause it's honestly zero skill and whoever swarms who first when you're fighting. Kinda funny it's possible to ignore the chaos to complete objectives with nobody looking. Anyway if I knew those armor sets existed I would've actually tried to get up there in PvP despite hating it with a passion

There was max 1-3 people who cheated each season. Most of them just paid other players to play for them to get top 100

You forgot the "Dated" gear sets. Any gear that was left over from 1.0 was kept intact. These gear sets actually break the class restriction rule, and any class can wear them. These include full tank sets, caster sets, and healer sets that any class can wear.
l have the greyhound and barghest armors from the feast it was super stressful
I tried for the dreadnought mount in s20 but those fuckin que times prevented me from even having a good shot... never got past gold rank
@@rinnnnnnnnnnrin Had to que as a Healer or Melee dps for near instant que during prime times. Those were the hard carry roles but also the most stressful.
the 1.0 version had another mount a gobbue that is not available anymore too. only player of the 1.0 have it. sad, but later they have added a few other gobbue type.
I’m sad I left my legacy account back in the day to play a different data center. I miss my OG gobbue mount.
The problem with the feast was how badly some players rigged it so they would be in the top spot for it
There's about a dozen pieces of unique gear models that have a tattoo/tattoos are part of them. If tattoos were options in character creation, the armor would overwrite them.

God I pray the previous malmstone rewards return eventually. Not for free or on the mog station but hopefully as an optional reward during a future season. I missed out on the first two armor and sets and RAAAAAAH I NEED THEM
@dannydoko1 I feel like adding them to the trophy crystal vendor for a sufficient(in proportion to the effort during its season) amount of trophy crystals per piece would be fair. If they don't come back however well.....prepare for an 8th rejoining.

Belts were invisible on FFXIV anyway, but yes I get the joke 😂. Neverwinter for whatever reason only the buckle of the belts are visible. Never knew about those badass PvP armor sets, I hate the FFXIV PvP cause it's honestly zero skill and whoever swarms who first when you're fighting. Kinda funny it's possible to ignore the chaos to complete objectives with nobody looking. Anyway if I knew those armor sets existed I would've actually tried to get up there in PvP despite hating it with a passion
