  • A look into a discussion about discovering Salvia Divinorum, a new psychoactive substance in 1994. Notice when Terence specifically says "We must not extract the chemical and mass produce it, because people will take too much" - which is exactly what happened.

Absolutely. This is the greatest genius I have ever listened to. Terence McKenna was at the cutting edge of language. He was truly pure of heart in the ways it truly matters. If there was ever someone truly worthy enough to to inspire to vibe with on an intellectual level, it's Terence. He's a true prophet and we can now study all of his audio and video files at will. Remember that.

Salvinorin A at 0.001ug - 1000ug(1mg) is best. Salvinorin A is a kappa agonist at microdoses which has major psychiatric benefits. It down regulates kappa opioid receptors which lowers toxic dopamine levels. Major depression, anxiety, depersonalization, PTSD, and schizophrenia have been treated with microdoses of salvia. She is to be respected.

It is still federally legal in the united states, meaning regardless of your states laws surrounding the plant you can have it legally shipped to your house, you can legally use it in the environment of your house, and you can even grow it in your house. Most officers dont even know what salvia divinorum is, so they honestly probably wont arrest you for it. Not admitting to anything, but, its illegal in my state but i still have success shipping it my way, try salvia dragon, this is the site i use. It does say that it wont ship to certain states but i live in one of those states and have always gotten my order. They have good quality leaf as well as extracts and other entheogens on their website such as aminita muscaria, kratom, other brands of salvia, and kava. The site looks sketchy but i promise its my go to for salvia divinorum.

First good dose. Smoked it. Gravity slapped me down to the ground. Then felt some sort of opposite dimension shift that I was experiencing. I thought physics was doing some sort of acrobatics. I figured people were around me and so I asked "aren't you gonna help me?" Then coming down I was treated with THE most crisp closed-eye hallucination I have ever seen. Black background and white shadow figures. These figures were a dog, female, then male, all walking on some sort of trail like they were hiking. It had some sort of anime-like style to it. Geeze, now I know just how crisp and beautiful these things can be. Very high bar salvia set in terms of visual/hallucinations. Thank you.

    • @rudyNok

It took me to the end. Literall end. When I took it for one of the first times, some entity creeped behind me and asked me a question, or more of a suggestion it was - Let's end it, shall we? And I laughed and said - no, not yet, it's too much fun. Then I had interesting visions, insights etc....the voice disappeared. After 13 years and after vaste amount of experiences, tired with life, I had Salvia again. No extract, just a brief hit of one dried leaf with anticipation of a mild and amusing effect, I was awaiting the strong deja-vu feeling and no hallucinations. But I was surprised with the strength of the effect when it started building up. I begun to get worried that I might have fucked up, but I didn't get a chance, because suddenly I was no more. Atleast not the human. But I was aware of my body, my arms slowly started rising, it was like some force was doing it, unstoppable and immense, but at the same time it was something I wanted to do. My arms were spread and I stand there crucified, before me, there was a big O or zero, vibrating. It was father and I was the son and I got the same question as years before - wasn't it already enough, are you willing to end it? And I said yes, it's enough, I don't want to go back, I want to stay. But I felt that the time hasn't yet come to the point I could stay. That there are still things and experiences to be done....but somehow I feel it was important for me explicitly to agree with ending this madness. After this I see no point in using Salvia or any other substance anymore. There is no further to go.

Stretchy and floaty yeah lol. I was sitting down and asked my friend "how am I standing up" while literally sitting on a bench. My whole environment shifted into a train station, It was very dream-like. The shepherdess is the one I refer to as the Salvinorin-Goddess. When the high kicks, is when the goddess enter your temple. The experience Is abit like being possessed, as suddenly, looses control half of yourself. You temporarily become the passanger on the backseat of your own flesh. Something else co-exists within the strings of your own body. Entity living through chemistry itself. And the more you fight, the less pleasant the ride becomes; so the experience consists of willingly abandoning yourself to her will, to become a sheep, which is quite ego shattering.

The last time I tried Salvia was in 2009. I asked a shop for the strongest extract they had and it was called "Infinity". I had smoked salvia before, but nothing at this strength. In other words, I was being a cocky shit. I got home and sat at my kitchen table and packed a bowl with my GF and best friend sitting next to me. I smoked the whole bowl in two or three enormous hits and started to feel the sensation of my face being dragged in a circular motion on concrete or sandpaper. I immediately forgot that I had smoked a drug and I fell off of the kitchen chair, onto my back. I had complete amnesia at this point. I didn't know who I was, what a person was, what life was, what time was, what anything was. I have come to learn that the term for this state is "ego death". I was staring at copies of my friend and GF in the shape of a rotating Wheel of Fortune shape and they looked at me sadly as if I was dying. All I could hear is a continuous loop of them saying, "Ohhhhhhhhhh, nooooooo." An over lay of woodgrain engulfed my vision (because I was staring at my kitchen cabinets while drooling on my back) and I immediately came to the conclusion that I was and always had been a door knob. I was and always had been a door knob. It was as if I had forgotten that my whole existence was being doorknob and my entire existence as a human was all a lie and a hallucination. I began screaming in terror in my catatonic mind at the infinity of my situation. This seemed to last an eternity. Time does not exist or is dragged out in this dimension. After coming to after five minutes and realizing that I had used a drug, I ran to my bedroom and took a mental break for the rest of the night/week. Tread very carefully my friend. This experience was extremely humbling and I admit that I made a terrible mistake by under estimating the power. I'm glad my friend was there to keep me from cracking my head open on the floor. I had many psychedelic experiences under my belt at that point. I'm not sure if anything can properly prepare you for it.

I was just there, letters on a wall for at least a whole school year just seeing kids come in and out everyday. Then I shot off the wall into what I've heard other people describe as "the book" where it felt like pages of dimensions were flapping over me, I could see into every one for a fraction of a second and it was all me living in other realities, after that minute, there was the other four minutes of the trip, and it only got more intense. I resonate so hard with the doorknob bit, except for me it was that I was the armrest or end of a couch. My entire existence was being a particle or part of the couch, my human life was actually the trip. I felt a sense of dread in knowing that my human life was some sort of lie I had made up to deal with the infinite pain of being a couch end. So glad to know others have had this experience as well. Salvia is beautifully terrifying. If I ever did it again I would want to eat it instead of smoke extract. Like people have said, I feel like it disrespected the salvia goddess by burning it.

i had a load of experiences on salvia..even though it always scared me a bit..or a bit more XD..it's really quite the different psychedelic and it seems to be there to explore the ''strangers'' consciousness..not your ''own'' and by doing so, it shows u how your own consciousness works, because one belongs to the other and one can't exist without the other, because they are actually the same/one thing, so it leads you to awareness-expansion from the ''other side'' if that makes any sense to you..also an interesting scientific fact about salvia, is that it only affects one receptor..the kappa-opioid-receptor and it affects it pretty damn heavily..now if u had some experiences with some or many opiates, like me..u would wonder, how salvia can unite all these seemingly contradictory properties in itself and still be a psychedelic and such a rediculously strong one (if not the strongest we know so far) on top of it, when ''classic'' opiates don't affect u in any comparable way?! opiates don't usually feel dissociating or psychedelic, they give relief through enabling onesellf to ignore what's bothering and classic psychedelics give relief through clarity, in other words recognizing what is..well the answer is, we still don't know shit about anything XD..
edit: see..since it is so unconventional and so weird regarding it's extremely heavy, unforseeable, dissociative and psychedelic effects + it apeard out of nowhere (like everything somehow but here it's more clear)..i like to call it alien-weed..enjoy the ride..

The relationship between Salvia and opioids might never be understood. I was taking both at the same time for a while, often in conjunction with nitrous oxide or DXM (which also have a peculiar relationship with the opioid receptors). Eventually got down to just kratom and salvia, then just salvia
No withdrawals whatsoever that I can remember, and it felt like the Salvia was encouraging my recovery the whole time - which is pretty normal as far as hallucinogens go but impressive nonetheless

There was a very strange feature in this case, strange because of its extremely rare occurrence. This man had once been brought to the scaffold in company with several others, and had had the sentence of death by shooting passed upon him for some political crime. Twenty minutes later he had been reprieved and some other punishment substituted; but the interval between the two sentences, twenty minutes, or at least a quarter of an hour, had been passed in the certainty that within a few minutes he must die. I was very anxious to hear him speak of his impressions during that dreadful time, and I several times inquired of him as to what he thought and felt. He remembered everything with the most accurate and extraordinary distinctness, and declared that he would never forget a single iota of the experience. ‘About twenty paces from the scaffold, where he had stood to hear the sentence, were three posts, fixed in the ground, to which to fasten the criminals (of whom there were several). The first three criminals were taken to the posts, dressed in long white tunics, with white caps drawn over their faces, so that they could not see the rifles pointed at them. Then a group of soldiers took their stand opposite to each post. My friend was the eighth on the list, and therefore he would have been among the third lot to go up. A priest went about among them with a cross: and there was about five minutes of time left for him to live. ‘He said that those five minutes seemed to him to be a most interminable period, an enormous wealth of time; he seemed to be living, in these minutes, so many lives that there was no need as yet to think of that last moment, so that he made several arrangements, dividing up the time into portions-one for saying farewell to his companions, two minutes for that; then a couple more for thinking over his own life and career and all about himself; and another minute for a last look around. He remembered having divided his time like this quite well. While saying good- bye to his friends he recollected asking one of them some very usual everyday question, and being much interested in the answer. Then having bade farewell, he embarked upon those two minutes which he had allotted to looking into himself; he knew beforehand what he was going to think about. He wished to put it to himself as quickly and clearly as possible, that here was he, a living, thinking man, and that in three minutes he would be nobody; or if somebody or something, then what and where? He thought he would decide this question once
for all in these last three minutes. A little way off there stood a church, and its gilded spire glittered in the sun. He remembered staring stubbornly at this spire, and at the rays of light sparkling from it. He could not tear his eyes from these rays of light; he got the idea that these rays were his new nature, and that in three minutes he would become one of them, amalgamated somehow with them. ‘The repugnance to what must ensue almost immediately, and the uncertainty, were dreadful, he said; but worst of all was the idea, ‘What should I do if I were not to die now? What if I were to return to life again? What an eternity of days, and all mine! How I should grudge and count up every minute of it, so as to waste not a single instant!’ He said that this thought weighed so upon him and became such a terrible burden upon his brain that he could not bear it, and wished they would shoot him quickly and have done with it.’ ❤

OOPS! Please pardon my rant and questioning of comical intellect.
And now, my SALVIA opinion. WOW WOW WOHO, UMM WOHO!!! It was incredible!!! Quite scary. ADVENTUROUS!( I owned and lived on a banana plantation in Panama and the last thing I saw was one of my barges loaded with bananas, motoring away from the dock on the river on which I was standing. I LIVED AN ENTIRE LIFETIME in the few seconds I was gone!!!!! I know it sounds BS-like and still I was there and lived it!!) So much more to say and type, unfortunately I must go do reality stuff at this minute.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH SALVIA!!!!! I hope for the best and fun and positive growth for ALL PEOPLE! Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, [nothing religious about that comment JUST WORDS OF WISDOM] I smoked it. I also had a nice friend as a supervisor, and I videotapes it and can identify every second of the trip/adventure/experience.
BOTH TIMES I SMOKED IT. It was the powerful or strongest sold. I WAS GLAD WHEN IT WAS ALL OVER and out of my system. I've not had any since and PROBABLY won't ever again.

It's dimensional travel, which gives you access to time travel by extension. On a breakthrough you get ejected from this dimension and it's legit, I had 3d vision when i got back to the room. I turned up in a field in the middle of nowhere near a mill, but not as me, some other guy. It was warm and very peaceful. The next thing I'm no longer there but I'm watching that field scene as a projection. There are endless conveyor belts with boxes, and I get the impression that each box was another scene that could be projected and experienced.
I took an absolute monster hit btw, a 750ml glass bottle, gravity bong, had no idea what it was, held it in longer than anything I've ever held in. To say I was gone was an understatement. When it was over I felt like I understood everything, it all made perfect sense, and there was nothing to worry about because it's all just a game. It was a feeling of pure unadulterated bliss. The only thing I know for sure is that before that, I was hell bent on committing suicide. I lived a life that was pure angst with no hope. Then I found Salvia, and she showed me possibilities. I lived a fucking lifetime as a hay, I lived a lifetimee as a plastic basket in a supermarket. I lived a lifetime as a muddy road in the 17th century. Salvia made me live so many lifetimes of other realities. She made me realise that the only thing that matters is creation. And then I created.
    No. I didn't create.
Achlys created me, and Salvia took me back to Achlys and made me start over. Over and over again.
Not even DMT och heroic doses of psilocybin can do that. Noting on this earth can do that.

Salvia divinorum is a water loving plant , cool plant. Cannabis for example is a fire loving plant, one that even needs heat to be herself.. Even the grow pattern.. Salvia loves shade and moist places , cannabis loves the sun pounding her leaves. So Salvia has the tendency to punish when burnt..not always but chewing is the way to go with her.

There are a lot of urban legends and superstitions floating around what makes Salvia works and some are centuries old and some are relatively new.
I have immense respect the for Mazatec Shamans whom work with Ska Maria Pastora aka Lady Salvia and persevered that knowledge about that powerful plant teacher but even they have self-imposed restrictions about it's workings. The Mazatec shamans claim that people need to abstain from sex for a certain period before working with Salvia and those indigenous shamans place those restrictions on people because their Catholic brainwash.
The Mazatec Shamans see the Spirit of Salvia as a being like the Virgin Mary of Christianity due to Religious syncretism between their indigenous faith and Catholicism which has dominated their people since the Spanish Conquistadors. Now does that mean such Catholic dressing is wrong per se? Well not if you consider those restrictions as mental preparation similar to a Mazatecan version of Baki Yoga; where the aspirant mind is being focused/trained to interact with the spirit of Salvia whom the Maztec Shamans have equated with Virgin Mary of Christianity. That's not much different than Haitian Voudon/Voodoo practitioners using pictures or statues of Catholic saints to stand in for Voudon/Voodoo Loa/Spiritual entities.
The only limiting factor is making sure enough Salvinorin A i.e. the mind altering component of Salvia divinorum infuses into the bloodstream through whatever intake method: quiding, smoking, or tincture. Then the normal waking perception will become expanded to encompass the spirit realms/other realities. Check out the Eurowid Salvia divinorum trip reports and you see people have done salvia combinations with all sorts of other etheogens/narcotics and had unique experiences as proof Salvia has no inherent dietary restrictions to work i.e. you have to abstain from any food.
Salvia isn't like Ayahuasca where you need an monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MOAI) like Peganum Harmala aka Syrian rue or some other MOAI to prevent the DMT from being destroyed via ingestion. You simply have to get enough Salvinorin A into you body to trigger the etheogenic effects. Some people, including myself, weren't initially sensitive to Salvia but through repeated workings with Salvia divinorum the reverse tolerance has increased to the point that a relatively small amount of completely plain Salvia facilitates a very intense experience i.e. level 4 or level 5 interaction on the Salvia experience rating scale as described within The Salvia divinorum User's Guide sagewisdom.org/usersguide.html

Thank you, I agree. It's so horrible the effects of missionaries had on these cultures. Something I found very interesting is that a Spanish priest claimed to have dreamt the virgin Mary as a shepherdess in the same era that the spanish were first making contact with the Mazatec. Could the salvia shepherdess possibly have come first? www.roman-catholic-saints.com/divine-shepherdess.html
